Yeah, as I click this post, this was my answer. Sales requires you to present yourself as high SMV to clients. No one's gonna buy from you if you look low status. It's also been said that people buy because of the person they interacted with and not necessarily because of the merits of the product. But if you're building up your confidence, I would say a job that has lots of social interactions. A barista or retail job comes to mind.

good point, but who are we to save anyone? one's salvation must be chosen first by them. a reckless drunk will not get well even if the whole world tells him to shape up. it must be their choice. EDIT: The truth is, I don't know except that I wouldn't be saved by some people knocking on my door proclaiming they have the key to my salvation. I would kick them out and say what a bunch of faggots those were.

I'm gonna quote you socrates: “No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”

The last part you pointed out is very telling. She has pegged him as beta and ridicules him if he tries to be anything other than that. Almost saying like "That's not you honey, you're a fucking beta! Who are you kidding?" ADDENDUM: This implies two corollaries that were mentioned around here before: (1) The moment you approach a girl, act/behave like an alpha. (2) If you're with a circle of friends who have you as beta, ruthlessly cull them from your life and find another social circle.

I like this. This is indeed educational. Part of the reason why this has such low upvote count is because it might seem bragging to some people. But to me, it's a peek to what's instore if you live in abundance.

This is what happens when the Patriarchy is emasculated. You got a country's would be defenders virtually nonexistent. in the famous words of Jack Nicholson : "You need me on that wall, you want me on that wall. Otherwise I suggest you grab a weapon and stand oppose."

This is, for me, one of those definite Keanu "Whoa" moments. It ties up a lot of seemingly unconnected pieces of the puzzle in my TRP journey. Your definition of alpha and beta are also noteworthy. It is to me the real definition, not "I fucked 2 dozen chicks over the year, so that makes me alpha." It ties up why some characters I would encounter (on movies or novels) that I feel are alpha but who may not be fucking chicks left and right. e.g., Jon Snow to me is an alpha, though I couldn't quite…

Yeah same. I'm in a particularly shitty mood the past few days due to work stress. I've been reading up on TRP for about a year now and though I have been making improvements, there will just be weeks where I'm at the bottom of the wheel. So posts like the OP's are tiny uplifts until I get back on top again.

Honest question /u/OmLaLa : What if when she came to the door, you give her a little bit of comfort and tell her that you'll meet at a later date. The purpose of which is to give her some assurance. You're still maintaining frame at all times of course.

I remember reading somewhere a wife of a womanizing guy. She took comfort that he would lie to her about his whereabouts after coming home late, most likely from his mistress. The day he starts telling the truth is the day he no longer fears her and that's the day she loses her power over him. My mind was blown away at how it made and didn't make sense at the same time.

I don't know if it's just me, LastRevision... But I take about 15 articles from TRP for the past 2 days, cache it on my mobile device and go to my reading place. it included this article, and I must say, this is the most profound one I read. It was an "aha" moment for me. It does not have a lot of points, and maybe because it is not for everyone, but it definitely resonated with me. It hit a place where I have always been week. I've came back to this post, probably 5x already. It struck a nerve in me. You hit it right on the head with the validation point. One thing you gotta note in this article is that when they refer to men, they implicitly refer to the "visible" ones--i.e., what we say in this subreddit as the the top 20%. I think you're equating having kids with being screwed. Though there have been countless scenarios where this is true, there have also been countless counter-examples contrary to the case. We should be aware of something here: Having kids does not necessarily mean you're screwed. It's ok to be cautious, but you gotta be aware why you are so. Having kids is as neutral as you make it. Now, do I hold that everyone should have kids? No. But we're missing something important here. To say that having …

This post feels like dogma. What's natural is to actually have kids. And proof of that is us. We're here because of an unbroken lineage of fathers since the daw of humans. If on the other hand, you say western women/govt has de-incentivized having kids, then yeah, I agree with you. This is like saying "Don't plant trees" because it has no benefit to you. That statement is true. But the thinking is short sighted.

I'm posting here after reading your other post on women not caring. I read your text and it made absolute sense. I immediately recognized what your talking about regarding soccer mattches is the basis of "frame". alphas establish the frame and betas live in it. An example : in JJ Abrams' 2009 Star Trek has a scene where Kirk 'cheated' on a test that was unwinnable. He got in trouble for not following the rules. But he could see the sandbox and would rather have a different one. I think people wh…

not sure what the butt hurt is with all the comments here. That's her choice and she made it. It's her sexual strategy. Get over it. Or better yet, use it to your advantage. Be the guy she becomes a plate of. The problem with a lot of comments here is it's coming from a place of the committed loving bf. In short, it's not coming from an alpha. If we follow trp right, we'd dump her and it would be the most liberating experience we'd have.

I was about to say something like this ^ . TRP is TRP. It's really how to be a man--not "how to game girls". And since being a man is not just about women, there should be TRP principles for other aspects of manhood--with your career, money, and how you relate with your tribe. I am grateful for posts like this.

Reminds me of the book "Assault on Lake Casitas" which is a book recommended here on TRP itself. It was a book about real men on a quest for Olympic glory. The author's mentor gave him a tape with words of wisdom to get him in the right mindset. It starts off like this and would always give me chills: " Good day. We are privileged to live another day in this magnificent world. Today you will be tested." How does this relate to your post? It is in being tested do we get our rites of passage. To b…

Actually, the fact we're talking about this and it almost feels there nothing we can do about it is what is sad. There was a time when men could say: "So he's contrarian, so what, I won't ban him." My take away from this is another character from the show, the guy who was hosting the speed dating event. He's nerdy and out of shape, but he has frame, is funny and has a confident demeanor. This is what struck me from this show more than the person in focus. One would generally assume that all geeks are beta/omega, but this guy seems to have some alpha traits... my 0.02

The way I see it, it's your money, it's yours to decide on your own. Not even your son has a say, not that much anyway. So for someone outside the family to feel entitled enough to go ape shit when YOU decide to not include them is THE one who is doing the disrespecting. They don't respect your decision and your boundaries; and your son should see it that way. IMHO, get her out of your son's life and find a better girl than a gold digger.

I totally agree with this model of shit tests. When I haggle (flea market mostly which is quite common where I am) , I say things to the effect like "Is this even effective?" "Or that's such a high price. " they're designed to illicit a reaction from the vendor so I can gauge their enthusiasm or confidence in what they're selling. You know, I see a lot of people here saying something to the contrary about this. But I wholeheartedly agree with you. Not because it sounded good, but it has been based on my own experience. When I do not think I matter that much, I become calm. There's nothing for me to be, nothing to do. The feeling that everything's going to be ok appears and I become a rock. A relaxed calm rock that is unswayed by the chaos around me.

This is my theory and purely broscience. Guys in general care less about their own physical appearance than women. Butches, who tend to gravitate to the male end of the polarization, also care less about their physical appearance. As for gays, the reverse is true. They tend to be more towards the female end of polarization and thus care more about their physical appearances.

"If you try to do the RP because you think it will get you the girl you been in love with all this time, think again. It won't. Not without some serious transformation and before you realize it, you won't care about her anymore." This quote is so parallel to another one: "What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?" "No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to."

"My brother is getting laid and has options with women, is in the best shape and social situation of his whole life, and is happy. How can I convince him this is evil?" you hit it right on the head

Thanks for this! I think you really got to confront people who are not respecting your boundaries. Don't take shit from them, but do so in a firm (i.e., strong framed) and calm manner. You lose if you lose your temper.

This reminds me. Great evil were caused by men that were inept with women. I wonder what the world would have been like if they were just better with women. I'm talking about Hitler & Napoleon. I recently watched a Che Guevarra documentary. Man, that guy was described as hypersexual, yet he was frustrated sexually. Before people start saying that Che was a good guy, in our time he would have been considered a terrorist. He wanted world war 3.

I think you missed my point. My point was that isn't this a great setup? All I am saying is that while a lot of posts here focus on the fact that the woman is wrong that she should learn her lesson, yada yada... all I'm saying is that it's a great setup as a guy. You can mess around without any commitments. I hear you about being plugged in, and taking the blue pill or the red pill. A lot of people here have a common "theme" in which they speak. All I'm saying is I'm speaking without that baggag…

I'm going to offer a different perspective from the other posts here. To me, this is the perfect setup. TBH, I like these kinds of women. I like where Lou fits in. He's in a place where he does not have to date the woman long term and is just there for the physical relationship. No strings attached, no expections. Plus, both of them don't need to be somebody else which happens when two people want something from each other. They could just be themselves, which people in general think are not the…

Hi, great idea... and I've thought long and hard about my feelings towards this. I think I'll skip it. The thing is... if it's something that I'll feel bad about if I got caught, I don't want to do it. I don't just want to win, I want to be proud of myself doing so, even if it means I won't be as successful. So, thanks for sharing, and goodluck with this.
