I think seeking validation is a core fact of existence, you just need to replace your need to seek "social" validation with "self" validation How i do it is... I compete with myself, the only person i gotta beat today.... Is my yesterday's "self", and if i can do that, i consider myself validated This wont fix it in a day, but it builds up over time, if you continue beating your yesterday's self you should see some real changes within a week with a snow ball of self validation

i know this sounds cliche but, meditation helps, (for them, good luck convincing them though) for these 'types' of people, their emotional centers dominate over their logical centers (hypothesis), i know way too many of this kind as well in my family and friends stress triggers emotional outbursts and such, so avoid them when they are stressed out music will help them as well they are merely trying to get their 'happiness fix' one way or the other, so show them other sources of happiness i deal …
