Good game! Really enjoyed this. I'm totally going to use the yellow speedo joke.

I'm also a recovering AFC, and I've found myself in similar situations (cutting off contact but having the girl follow through... leading to another annoying round of quasi-friendzone flirtation). One mistake I'm working on that I see you making is being overly meek about setting up dates. It doesn't sound like you're taking her out on dates - it sounds like you're arranging casual buddy-buddy hangouts. Even if she has some attraction to you, doing stuff like watching TV together or meeting for …

Hey, dismiss these at your peril. Smiling and eye contact are also pretty important - probably under-emphasized around here. You'll notice in a lot of PU videos where the guys are ostensibly demonstrating their "technique", they've got a confident, relaxed smile. Laughing at her jokes can easily be overdone and look like supplication, but if it it's genuine/done right, it does a lot of what's talked about around here - it builds comfort and rapport and signifies a close connection. Some of my ea…

A strong social group helps. Some else mentioned volleyball, and I agree that finding a good sports meetup can change your life. After participating in a friendly weekly basketball game, it's amazing how rapidly my social circle expanded to the point where I'm the guy that knows someone at just about every bar or restaurant I walk into (instant DHV). Get into Twitter and find some interesting people. I personally recommend "foodie" groups because it's an easy interest that anyone can get into an…

Pursuing a woman, creating a physical relationship and learning to play into certain inescapable guy-girl dynamics are fairly integral pieces of loving, long-term relationships. It's not always pretty, but it's a necessary corrective to the "be nice/be yourself" drivel that a lot of well-intentioned normal guys believe will be all it takes to have a rewarding love life.

Yeah, I thought this sounded familiar (particularly vis a vis seduction)! I think it was more like "What other people think of you is none of your goddamn business."

I usually reply with a simple "Word." text to any kind of excuse. It's an ambiguous phrase, but in these situations it comes off as a non-chalant yet upbeat way of saying "no big deal, I'm sure I'll find something fun to do". Often the girl will be the one to text me back after this.

An interesting approach here is to give her conditions for you joining and/or playfully make her sell you on it - more specifically, conditions that set you up to meet other women. "Is it a cool scene? Will there be some girls attending? I'll shoot myself if I have to talk to 22 year old dudes about philosophy and legalizing pot." You demonstrate value and lead the interaction. When things are hot and cold and/or a lot of work, slowing your pursuit and breaking into her social circle might be a …

This is great stuff. Wish there was more discussion about dance game - I'm bad at closing on the dancefloor, but even my simple willingness to dance has given me real social value among a few circles of girls. Regarding the OP: it's probably more trouble than it's worth to fix an AFC. Oneitis and other notions of romance are just deeply ingrained into a lot of guys and it can be frustrating or futile to change them. With friends, you're better off enjoying them for what you liked about them in t…

My money gives her a 1 in 5 chance of being the type-A, extremely busy, great lay you describe and a 4 in 5 chance of being a chronic flake who's just not relationship oriented at this point in her life and/or doesn't see the value in the OP. Women that are open to intimate relationships won't make it that hard.

I wonder if this is just incomplete - are these guys total losers or have they successfully conveyed value in ways outside of looks and over-the-top personality? It becomes shockingly easy to get girls in your late 20's / early 30's if you're not hideous and you have a steady job and a life. Sleeping with an interesting dude that's good to talk to and can take you out to eat without sweating the bill (but doesn't look like Brad Pitt) isn't entirely undesirable to your average mid-20's girl who's…

I don't think I've ever had a bad time getting a little bit high and dancing (and I've had more depressingly uneventful drunk dancefloor experiences than I can remember). After a puff or two, I get silly and creative with my dance moves, I get horny... and women respond very positively to it. Paradoxically, I have so much fun dancing that I genuinely don't care who else is there... then find girls dancing closer/bumping into me.
