"comes from him wanting to help those who need it" Actually I think it comes from a desire to appear virtuous and heroic in the easiest and most socially acceptable way possible. Jumping on the bandwagon to shit on men isn't really going out on a limb, is it. Some would even say his efforts reek of misogyny because it assumes that women require his performative defensive efforts. Not unlike those performative white liberals that jump to defend black people from "evil whitey" who they apparently …

any form of discrimination Nonsense. So if a black woman asks me out I have to go out with her because I’m not allowed to have a preference as to who I date? Do I have to accept a female Dr or can I be “discriminating” and choose a male. Can I still choose who I want to be friends with? People fn discriminate everyday, with every choice they make. “Any form of discrimination”…what utter fn nonsense.

This...this is the "toxic masculinity" that no one ever talks about. I suspect because it's only toxic to the men themselves. Life is not a Cinderella fairytale where you're required to be the knight in shining armour saving the damsel in distress. This woman could ruin your life. She could cost you your career...your financial independence...even your freedom or your very life were she to call the cops and tell them you were armed and violent. You are in no way qualified to work her through her…

I think the point is for those demonizing the "patriarchy" to view men through a more balanced lens. Have men done horrible things? Of course. Have they also laid down their lives for women...families...their country? Yes. Have they dedicated their lives to providing for, protecting and supporting women and families...working themselves into early graves in the process? Yes...of course. I shudder to think what the western world would look like if it had to rely on today's men for it's constructi…

And a one day old baby is a developmental stage of an adult. Doesn't make it any less human. If I wanted to be schooled on fallacious arguments, then yes, I've been schooled. Don't kid yourself...you need help. And your attempts at deflection are blatant and serve to prove that honestly answering the question would show your hypocrisy. One of the main secrets to secrets in large organizations is compartmentalization. Break the group down into much smaller groups and task each with a small part of the plan which, by themselves, is in no way an indication of the whole. Most of those that worked on the Manhattan Project had no idea what they were actually a part of. There are other ways, of course, to keep secrets. Threats and the national security angle. Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. Women often have to flee from the only homes they have ever known. Women are often the refugees from conflict and sometimes, more frequently in today's warfare, victims. Women are often left with the responsibility, alone, of raising the children. Hillary Clinton

Why do you think the death penalty has been mostly abolished in the developed world? Because of the fallibility of the criminal justice system ("I'd rather 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man executed")...because it often costs more to sentence someone to death than it does to keep them in prison forever...and because it is no deterrent to violent crime. It has very little to do with with being squeamish about killing viciously violent criminals.

Because of the law! An argument from authority (argumentum ab auctoritate), also called an appeal to authority, or argumentum ad verecundiam, is a form of defeasible argument in which a claimed authority's support is used as evidence for an argument's conclusion. It is well known as a fallacy Yet you agree that men should have their own spaces. Impressive the way you talk out of both sides of your face at the same time. You're not doing too well here, Champ.

Nor do I need to...any more than women need to justify their desire/need for a woman's only space beyond stating they don't want men there. And you haven't made any for why it shouldn't be. Nor have you answered why these spaces you claim men deserve couldn't be a barbershop if that is what they choose. It should also be noted that it isn't a given that the woman will run to the cops of you respond with violence. Most domestic abuse cases go unreported. I guess I understand the reasoning behind the decision...but it seems awfully odd to have a sub dedicated to men going their own way/eschewing relationships and not being able to discuss why many of them have chosen to do so. It would be like having a sub about choosing a specific product and not being allowed to discuss why you chose/the benefit of the product. But...it's your sub.

The cop had full control over what he chose to do. He could have seen for himself there was no issue with a guy reading a book and left him alone. The woman made the call but the cop literally instigated the encounter.
/r/MensRights26/09/19 10:01 PM

I hear what you're saying about instigating another encounter...but you are essentially suggesting he never go back to the park for fear he might be harassed again. Reading a book in a park is not instigation. What the cop did tho was instigation. He was sitting minding his own business. How can you avoid anyone when they go out of their way to come looking for you?

No offense intended but you just basically said what I said only you used more words...and in fairness to the OP I think he meant exactly the same thing using even fewer words. Notice I said "I think"...not "I believe". Thinking leaves me able to change my mind in the face of new information whereas believing locks us into a position that is much harder to alter. Frankly we shouldn't "believe" women in these cases. Semantical perhaps but "belief" means to assume something is true without proof a…

We can certainly believe them far enough to investigate but to lock someone up with zero corroborating evidence should itself be a crime. She clearly wears the pants in her new relationship. "My ex husband will not release my child to me". Oh and she's a fn liar too. "Are there charges I can press?" Vindictive cunt.

Soon this provision will be included in divorce settlements. Not only spousal and child support but also financing the ex-wife's future weddings.

One show that epitomizes the tone of this post is Everybody Loves Raymond. I had thought about gathering up clips that express my point but I can't be arsed. Ray's wife is a cast iron bitch. She calls him names...her favourite is "idiot". She threatens him...screams at him...constantly minimizes his contributions and parenting and even hits him...and not only is he expected to just take it but it's seen as being hilarious. God forbid he criticizes her, tho...then experience her wrath. Frankly it…

In point of fact for a long period in human history boys were taught to have dignity, be self assured and chivalrous...and for the most part it seemed to work. Unfortunately all that has changed now...and not for the better.

This will go against the prevailing commentary in this thread...but let's be honest...every man that has GHOW has either been fucked over (hurt) by a woman or knows well someone who has. If we had never had a bad experience or knew someone (or multiple someones) who had would there even be a movement?

As a man that has been GHOW for over 10 years I am saddened by this comment/attitude. Apart from being boring or not liking the same movies has your mother done something to you that would cause you to have such a callous attitude towards her? Presumably this is the woman that raised you, cared for you, helped provide for you...and now as she approaches the end of her life and her health is failing your attitude is to get as far away from her as possible and let her suffer and die on her own? Su…

The comments from the original post seem to be indicating that she is wanting off the train...(I assume train since busses all off-load on the right)...and the guys wouldn't move far enough out of the way for her...even tho at the end of the vid you can see a woman exit the train with no issue.

There was a time when feminists were saying that childhood fairytales were sexist to women...cinderella, snow white, etc...but they never mentioned how those same stories were damaging to young men. Young men who grew up believing that men were supposed to be saviours/protecters always putting aside their own needs for those of the woman. In the books it was always saving them from some life threatening fate...but in practice it means everything from supporting them financially, emotionally or w…

this chemical 'episode' It's called infatuation and it is indeed a hell of a drug. You're idealizing her based on rather superficial and subjective info. You don't really know her. Been there...done that....at apprx your age, too. My infatuation just loved the attention...was never really committed to anything substantial regardless of what she was saying. It was my final wake up call. It's unlikely anyone will be able to dissuade you if you're already drugged up...but if you're serious try thin…

I like civil discussions. For me the answer to the issue is adoption. I was adopted in the late 60s. Had my birth mother had the same ease of access to abortions...or had it not been as socially acceptable then as it is now...we wouldn't be having this civil conversation. There was a time where I was nothing more than a clump of cells. At that time someone would have been perfectly ok "aborting" me because I wasn't a "person". Well...I'm a person now and have had a pretty good life which I like …

My point isn’t that women aren’t responsible for their children And I never suggested you said they weren't responsible for their children. I said that the words you use are designed to absolve women of becoming pregnant. And now you seem to be, intentionally or not, twisting my words to make it seem like I claimed something I didn't. If you read your words it's clear you seem to think that pregnancy is something men do to women and not something women play any role in.

Exactly. This is something I posted in this thread (and others) in response to this notion. When does an apple tree become an apple tree? When it sprouts from the ground or when it bears fruit? If you drop an egg off a roof it's technically not broken til it hits the ground...but even an idiot knows that barring any unforeseen circumstance it will break. An apple tree won't produce fruit for the first several years of it's life but to deny it's an apple tree until it does requires a sort of ment…

"He" conceived the child, eh? She didn't. He got her pregnant? She didn't get herself pregnant? "By impregnating someone"? How about "by allowing yourself to be impregnated"? Every word/phrase you use is designed to absolve the woman of any responsibility for becoming pregnant. It is something that is done to her...not something she allows to happen to her. It's slanted and disingenuous at best.

So a woman (barring risk to the mother, rape, incest) should have the right to kill a baby (after 6 weeks it has a heart beat) because it's inconvenient...but a man shouldn't be able to opt out of it's care if it's inconvenient to him? Frankly I find abortion as a means of birth control to be an incredibly selfish and self absorbed notion. There are a myriad of birth control options and Plan B...and abstinence is definitely an option for those who absolutely don't want kids. To suggest that peop…
