So a woman pretends to be a man, discovers that men's emotional world is different from that of women, and blames men for this "flaw" -- as opposed to concluding women are too emotionally needy. She could have skipped the whole "pretending to be a man" part and gone straight to blaming men. It's women's default mode, anyway. And, of course, "white imperialism".

Lots of things can be good (or at least pleasurable) for the individual but bad for society. Rampant female promiscuity is one of those.

The hobbies, the freedom, the silence, the peace and quiet, the ability to change my mind about what I want to do that day. Exactly this. I take the dog on hikes, I work in my woodshop, I ride my bike, and I try to improve my health, my physical condition, and my skills. It's enough for me.

I think it tends to be women who clutter up the home with useless crap. Not always and everywhere, but usually. After my final relationship I purged my house three times in three years. Now I have space, minimal stuff to deal with, and no fargin tchotchkes.

Reliable statistics are hard to come by, due to politics, but the whole flock of LGBT types is certainly under 5% of the population. So, naturally, the other 95% have to adjust to cater to the minorities mental illness.

All of us have a concept of what it is to be a man. That concept may be derived from experience (maybe your dad) or from the culture. But we know what it is. Someone who stands up for himself, who does not take counsel from his fears, is solid, keeps his promises, and so on. Physical and moral bravery. We make a million choices every day. Self-respect is the result of making those choices that are consistent with your concept of manhood.

Get a labradoodle or any of the other breeds that don't shed. Dogs were bred for thousands of years to be a man's companion. Women, OTOH, were bred for thousands of years to be man's parasite.

We are the richest society that ever existed. Rich societies can afford foibles that poor societies, closer to reality, can't. Just like a car fender-bender can be inconsequential to a rich person, but devastating to someone living in their car. Women moving into the male sphere is a foolish foible.

Soap what? On October 14th, 1855, a carpenter set up a soapbox in Hyde Park, near Marble Arch in London, and made a speech to onlookers complaining abut high food prices. Thus was born the tradition that became known as Speakers' Corner, the place where free speech is exercised by anyone who wishes to. noun Also soap box . an improvised platform, as one on a street, from which a speaker delivers an informal speech, an appeal, or political harangue. adjective of, relating to, or characteristic of…

who have all been described in loving detail over the course of four million words as being various flavors of white men, as other races/women, I'd have trouble watching it. Look at the most recent version of "A Wrinkle in Time". Absolute crap-fest, because they insisted on making all the characters "diverse". Well sorry, the heroine was "Meg", not "Latashawanda". By the way, isn't all this cultural appropriation?

It's not "mostly caucasian". It is always white males who are race-swapped or gender-swapped. Because the writers can't be bothered to create an interesting new character that is black or female or whatever. They can only leach off established characters with established fan bases. As Tolkein said, evil cannot create; it can only corrupt.

Global warming is really a brilliant scam. It gives governments the "crisis du jour" to raise taxes and grab more power (got to save the planet, you know). It gives the media something to criticize normal society for. It's impossible to falsify because the numbers are on the fringe of measurement noise. But why do so many scientist claim it is true? To understand that, you have to understand how science is really funded. Note this is true primarily in the academic sector but also, to some extent…

Yep. Sand the inside until it is smooth -- you can use a grinder or a palm sander or even just sandpaper. Clean thoroughly. Heat oven to 400, let it come to temperature. Put just a drop of oil in the pan and wipe it on all surfaces with a paper towel. Then (and this is key) take another clean paper towel and wipe it again. It may look dry, but that's OK. You want only the thinnest possible layer of oil on the surface. (Too much oil doesn't polymerize; it turns into a gummy, sticky mess.) Stick i…

One hundred years ago this behaviour would have destroyed a woman, financially and socially. Society had rules with real consequences. Today it is effectively consequence-free. At worst, if pre-marriage, the guy might cancel the wedding (if he finds out about it and is not a simp). Otherwise if married, she can still get cash and prizes if they divorce. This is the world the left and the feminist have made.

We can argue about which mistake was the primary cause of Western culture's collapse. The 19th Amendment (and similar acts in other countries) is a good candidate. I'd argue that opening the West to massive 3rd-world invasion was the nail in the coffin -- there is no recovery from that.

I've seen several of these articles. They always appear to think we're much more organized than we are, with "stages" and "progressions" and "thought-leaders". Uh, no. Interesting. I'm in a somewhat analogous position. Retired, no wife, no kids, mid-60's. Financially comfortable. Got some hobbies I like. Push "diversity" rather than talent. Why would any sane man want to reproduce?

After my long-term relationship ended, I purged the house of all the kitsch, the useless crap, the pillows, the unused cooking equipment, the unnecessary adornments, the detritus of abandoned hobbies, etc. I wasn't angry or anything. This wasn't an emotional response. I was just tired of being surrounded buy all the crap. Since then I've done it two more times, at intervals of about a year. Dialectic is fine, if you have the right audience. Rhetoric is more effective on most people. Or said another way, you cannot argue a person out of a position they didn't argue themselves into. Most men and virtually all women think emotionally, and will not respond to a logical argument. It wasn't as horrible as a lot of current movies are, but you're right. It has the usual tropes: whamen great, men bad/incompetent, blacks great, whites bad. I think there were three white males in the entire cast; the hero, the Secretary of Defense, and the hero's Dad. Every other person was female, or BIPOC. I guess in the future most whites have been wiped out.

I don't really care what an individual does with their life as long as it has zero effect on me or my life. While that is a reasonable view, we do not live in a reasonable world. They will force their views on you, and your kids. They control the schools and the media. You will be made to care. Gay "marriage" was the prototype. This is perfectly reasonable from a woman's POV. Women restrict access to sex to entice men into commitment (aka resource-plundering). That is completely separate (in the woman's mind) for sex-for-pleasure. So she wants a "relationship" with Man A and restricts sex, but gets her tingles from Man B. Men of course, see it as a betrayal, which it is. Women, generally, have only one resources - sex - and they try to optimize its utility.

This is a variation of the broken-window theory of economics: In Bastiat's tale, a boy breaks a window. The townspeople looking on decide that the boy has actually done the community a service because his father will have to pay the town's glazier to replace the broken pane. The glazier will then spend the extra money on something else, jump-starting the local economy. The onlookers come to believe that breaking windows stimulates the economy. Similarly, here, if the government confiscates bicyc…

Cast iron cookware. Properly-seasoned it is as good as Teflon and far healthier. But there is a lot of bad info on how to season cast-iron out there, so most people don't do it correctly. Then food sticks to the pan and they are disappointed.

My two cents; YMMV: A. Humans are social animals. Independence or being a hermit is great if it works for you, but it doesn't for most. So you need friends. Find a hobby or join an outdoors group. You will make friends. Get a dog. Dogs are fantastically loyal and loving and will never hit you up for alimony. B. If you know college isn't for you, go into the trades. Plumbing or electrician are best; they are less physically demanding than say, bricklaying or drywall installation or landscaping. G…

Very anecdotal, but -- my brother worked in the state penal system. He was acquainted with a woman who worked as a rape victim advocate in the system. After two years she quit. She told my brother that of all the cases she investigated, not one was legitimate. the problem of false rape accusations may be worse than we think.

I think the reaction here might be a little misplaced. I understand this group is sensitive to exploitation by women, but I don't think that is the lesson of this cartoon. People who are good at something usually enjoy exercising their skill. I'm better than most of my friends with computers, and much, much better than them with handyman-type tasks. If I get a request for help, I usually enjoy resolving the issue. I don't see it as exploitation because I'm having a good time working the issue. O…

It will not defend the First Amendment rights of pro-life pregnancy centersor small religious businesses. It no longer defends religious freedom, although it once did. Title IX (applauded by women) eviscerated men's college sports. Because Title IX was interpreted to mean that colleges had to spend the same amount of money on men's and women's sports, colleges in many cases dropped men's boxing, fencing, lacrosses, tennis, rowing, etc. Unless an equal number of women wanted to play the sport, which, in most cases, didn't happen. In this case, more idiotic government policies allow transgender females (i.e. males) to compete with biological (or "real") women at…

Pres Linden Johnson created Lewis legislation labeled the Great Society. It was aimed at looking after the poorest among us. But what it accomplished by creating a safety net is reckless behavior as there was no harsh consequence preventing people from doing foolish things. This is an interesting point. Correct. Pathologies proliferate when the cost of indulging in them drops. As an example - with government-provided food and shelter for single mothers, with cheap birth control, abortion on demand at any time, the costs of sexual promiscuity is no longer life-threatening. More people engage in the activity, societal rules loosen in response, and you have the classic downhill spiral.

Men need something bigger than themselves to aspire to, and to give meaning and motivation to life. In the past it could be simple survival, or dedication to a religion, or even love of your country. If a country is currently living with some fucked up ideology, the media will just play along with those agendas. I don't think the media is just "playing along". If this is so, then there is some factor causing the advertisers to skew their advertising in a way that does not reflect the population demographics. In other words, deliberate propaganda. From Richard Houck:…

A couple of ideas on the motivations of these women: Daddy issues. "Hmm, Daddy didn't give me everything I wanted so how do I hurt him? I know! I'll betray my race! That will show him!" They are caught up in the propaganda that pushes the BM/WF narrative. It is literally everywhere in the media, and in advertising. They are self-hating white liberals. They like thugs.

Yeah, this. It seems like all cultures, across all of history, have come to basically the same conclusion about women. Why is that? The feminists claim this is because every other culture in history was evil and patriarchal and hopelessly misogynistic. So they are saying that everyone else in history got it wrong, and only they are right. Hmmm. I can think of a more likely answer. Maybe these ideas about women are actually, I don't know, correct? Stereotypes exist for a reason.

Oh, this is the "only white people can be racists because white people have all the power" trope. Same as "only men can be sexists because only men have power." It is total BS, refuted by real world examples every day. But for the Left, it is a useful lie, because it absolves their constituencies - women and POC - from any wrongdoing, and concentrates their hate on white males.

I once knew a guy who worked in television - screen writer - and heard some of the inside baseball stuff. You'd think the mass entertainment market would be driven purely by profit - giving the public what it wants -- but it's not necessarily so. Turns out the applause of their peers can sometimes be more important. So since Hollywood is very, very left wing, they will push ideas in their shows which are largely rejected by their audience. Examples: Female Ghostbusters Feminist Charlie's Angels …

I was reading a book by a female author recently, something of a feminist, and each chapter began with a historical quote disparaging women. From philosophers, religious figures, politicians, etc. The point, of course, was to show how women were denigrated throughout history and that feminism is a necessary corrective. But what struck me as interesting is that all these quotes -- from different cultures, across thousands of years of time -- all had the same criticisms of women. That they were fr…

This analysis is straightforward and not wrong, but it is incomplete. In particular, the author states "This current market is favourable to men..." Not all men. It is favorable to the Chads and Tyrones. The aspect ignored by the author is the overwhelming sense of entitlement that has been fostered in Western women by the culture. Most women only want (and think they deserve) the top 10% of men. As a result, the Chads & Tyrones get more, and the majority of men get less, than in the old system.…

Girls are especially vulnerable to social trends. This transgender-ism is a social trend. Unfortunately, it is promoted by the usual Left wing crowd. If a man thought he was Napoleon, we would recognize he is mentally ill. If a woman wanted to cut off her arm, it is also recognized as a mental disorder -- it's called BIID - Body Integrity Identity Disorder. If a boy wants to be a girl, or a girl a boy, it's called "stunning and brave". Clown world.

Looking back on it, I realize we just enjoyed each other's company. We liked being together. Right now your hormones are racing, and you are fighting 4 billion years of evolution in trying to resist it. It gets easier when you are older, but that's no help now. And of course the media constantly tries to pull you onto the plantation. You have to decide what is important to you (and that will change over time). If you like a big screen TV, that's OK. The Left will continue with cancel culture until they start to feel some pain from it. The only way that happens if it is used against them. Right now they can use it against the Right with impunity. The media cooperates by memory-holing any Leftist who commits the same infraction that gets a Rightist cancelled. I doubt if our culture can be saved, but if it can be, it will be fighting back. And one way to fight back is to make the Left live up to its own rules.

I think you are taking the correct approach. Max out your 401K if available. Max out your Roth contribution. Invest in broadly-diversified ETFs or mutual funds. At your age maybe 80/20 stocks/bonds. That's your "safe" money. Then, in a separate brokerage account, try for some individual stocks. I like automatic investing for the dollar-cost-averaging effect. The latest push by the Left is replacing "equality" with "equity". The two words sound similar but they are vastly different in application. To see the difference, look at school discipline. Under "equality", your race is irrelevant. You commit an infraction, you get expelled Under "equity", you commit a infraction, whether or not you get expelled depends on your race. If "too many" blacks are being expelled compared to whites, asians, or hispanics, then "equity" demands we do not expel them. Th…

The market will go up and down, but historically and over time it goes up. At 17, you will go through several bull and bear markets. The advantage is if you "buy-and-hold" you will come out way ahead. Don't try to time the market. Don't sell off your stocks when prices start going down. Look on each recession as an opportunity to buy stocks below their market value. Start as early as possible and you will reap the awards of compounding over time.

Don't remember all the details, but the gist was that the patents on the refrigerants then in use were about to expire, and the companies that owned the patents were facing the loss of millions of dollars. Coincidentally (of course), we began seeing "scientific" articles on how the current refrigerant gasses were killing the ozone, and we were all going to die! Fortunately, the government could ban the old …

There are lots of articles that get published in left wing rags (The Guardian, the NYT, WaPo) about how horrible MGTOW is, but it is just misandry. For four years the democrats and the media have been screaming that "democracy is dying!" because of Trump. But that was just over-hyped partisan rhetoric. I actually paid (Netflix? Amazon?) to watch this and still turned it off after 10 minutes. It was really horrible, even by today's woke standards. There is a lot of literature out there about this. Studies show upper-class liberals sneer at tradcon values for the masses but implement them in their own lives. Not too hard to understand, really. The media does this constantly. They find someone, Trump, someone in Trump's camp, or any person they can vaguely group as "right wing". They take some statement out of context, or even deceptively edited. Then they gin up media stories about the "controversial" statement and use it to rip Trump. By the time the Right responds and starts pointing out the inaccuracies, they're on to the next story. So low-information voters, who get all their info from the media, are sure Trump is the devil.

Lots of simple plans out there. Google "simplified DIY portfolio". Then set up automatic investments into your portfolio via periodic transfers from your checking account. Your brokerage firm can tell you how to do that. This is called Dollar-cost-averaging and has been shown to be more effective than tr…

Yeah, this is a thing now. Female celebrities "coming out" as either lesbian or bi. No downside for her. There is a huge group of lesbians on social media that are so anxious for validation that they will "whee" for any actress that makes this declaration. A career-booster, is my guess.

I don't think women are the driving force. They are the followers who occasionally rise to positions of power, and so are highly visible. But I don't believe the SJW movement was initiated by them. Yes, the feminist insanity was nearly all women, but they are only one part of the SJW attack. And it is an attack, on whites, on men, on Christianity, and on Western Civilization. And it is orchestrated by Soros and his cronies.

I've mentioned this before. In the old days, the ideal was that sex was legitimized by marriage. Extra-marital sex was a big no-no. When a man got married, the state sanctioned the sex. When the wife said "I do" she was agreeing to the sex, the state said "you can now kiss the bride", and the marriage became legitimate when it was consummated. In that context rape cannot exist inside a marriage. Violence, sure. But not rape. But with the reforms pushed by the feminists you can now be convicted o…

What we call Western civilization, for a first approximation, is Greek philosophy, Roman law, and Christian theology. Secondary influences are the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and the Industrial Revolution. This synthesis or fusion is the single most successful culture on Earth. Every other culture is influenced by it, and most pay at least lip service to Western ideals. It has resulted in more political freedom, more material wealth, more knowledge than any other. In the US at least, the Left is the feminist party. They are the ones actively pushing all the social change most MGTOWs don't like. This phenomena of scientific studies being subordinated to left-wing ideology is well-known. In the case of male-female differences, the default position by the scientists and the media is that there is no difference. Washington state has no income tax, but the libs are always trying to impose one. This despite the voters having rejected the idea five times. However, the Dems are getting better at voter fraud, and with the mail-in balloting they'll be able to manipulate the results any way they want. So I can't recommend Washington. One of the principle concepts in (Western) law is that it must be unambiguous. That is, it has to be possible for the average person to know in advance if he is breaking the law! Sexual harassment laws, that depend on the subjective feelings of the "injured party" are the opposite of that. Tyrants love ambiguous laws because it allows them to bring the hammer down on any individual, at any time.

No, it's not a revolution. It is battle space preparation for the elections later in the year. The Dems and the media want to defeat Trump so badly they are willing to wreck their own cities in the hope of a propaganda victory. 99.99% of the blacks' problems are self-caused.

The big picture is that as long as the human race lives on one planet we could be wiped out fairly easily. Environmental change, disease, asteroid or comet strike, you name it. Nature has lots of ways to kill off species. Assuming we want to survive long-term, we need to spread out.

For over 60 years the Left's main strategy to gain political power is by uniting "minorities" against the majority whites. The Left includes all of academia, most government bureaucrats, almost all the media, and all of the entertainment industry. They constantly push the notion that any problem experienced by POC is due to whitey. When stupid people believe that nonsense, we get riots such as the ones we're seeing now. The Left does the same thing with women against men. It has been a successfu…

This is just the state of advertising today. ALL adverts have to show women or POCs, preferably in charge or doing something technical. If there is a couple in an advertisement 99% of the time it will be a white woman and a black or brown male. I also noticed that more and more if the advert shows a family there will be multiracial children. Gee, it's almost like there is a conspiracy against white men. But, nah, that's crazy talk, right?

There are lots of trends in today's society that are leading to a breakdown of the US. My guess is it will culminate by the mid 2030s. Some of those trends are (IMHO): Devaluation of competence - we see this everywhere. 1) the media is not virtue signaling; they are actively taking pay from the ChiComs to run their propaganda. 2) "epicenter" is incorrect. Epicenter refers to a point over or above the centre of something. It is most commonly used to identify the point on the Earth's surface that lies directly above the focus of an earthquake. The media use "epicenter" instead of the correct "center" in an attempt to sound "smarter".

I've worked in STEM for 40 years. During that time the number of women has gone up from 1% to maybe 30% today. Nearly all consider it just as a job, to get though with as little work as possible. Evolution gave them hypergamy. Society used to restrain it through legal, social, and economic mechanisms. Those restraints allowed monogamy and stable families to develop. Now society has dropped all those old constraints, and women;'s nature gets fully expressed. Society declines.

In the US, before WWII, only a small % of the population went through higher education. In 1940, 3.7% of women and 5.5% of men attended college.
