The pandemic has only underscored the absolute necessity to have an emergency fund to weather through economic catastrophe.

MGTOW ally here, but wife watches our two kids. The concept of slaving away for a corporate job for 40 years instead of raising your kids is not empowerment.

Shhhh don't tell people that a somewhat basic existence now is light-years ahead of previous generations of human existence. The sheer marvel of automobiles, cell phones, internet have been mind blowing. And access to clean water, etc. It's not always the best, but what a time to be alive

The real question is why is the dude only contributing $4500 (3%) of his $150k salary. Should be maxing it out at that level.

No point in wearing it one way or another. I recent for hired onto a job and didn't tell them my wife was pregnant with baby #2. Don't give them any leverage against you, because inevitably you'll be asked about the non existent spouse. For the record, MGTOW ally with two SONS. Excited to instill non bullshit thinking in these little ones to fend off the clown world we live in.

Not MGTOW technically (married with a two year old), but view myself as an ally. The child tax credit doubling helped to offset the loss of personal exemptions and cap on SALT. I got $2k tax credit for my son; half of that went into his college fund. And the other half is for items for his benefit (museum pass, zoo membership, clothing). There are so many anti-male-children policies nowadays and I'm using these funds as an investment into good future. I would've bought these things anyways, but …

You can't ask marital status during an interview. When I've interviewed applicants, I just ask if they have any constraints on them working nights and weekends.

Who he is? I can't even keep up with the various "celebrities" nowadays.

There's a bit of conflict. My wife is not NAWALT and I know that. We've argued frequently and at any minute I am emotionally okay with her being out of my life completely. I've made very clear my expectations but I understand that she's not perfect. There are areas which we'll never agree, but for the most part it's good. You don't get mad at a dog for barking; it's just a dog.

Not technically mgtow (married with a 1 year old) but an ally of the cause. I see this all the time, that people are just BROKE. But they never think of little habits (i.e. daily Starbucks, not going to the gym, cigs/daily lunches out). I'm 30 with a house, don't buy useless crap and have socked away $180k in retirement between the wife and I. My wife's the spend, spend, spend kind and it's exhausting. But my role as the dad and husband is to get her to cut that shit out. Junior doesn't need org…

Illinois is NOT a low property tax state, at least in the Chicago area. We are $120+ billion in debt to government pensions with no tipping point in site. Chicago is a cool city, but Illinois is a nanny state (i.e. no fireworks, have to get a gun card, no legal weed and abysmal taxing structure). I wouldn't encourage any men to buy property in Illinois.

Great! Thanks. The ground pole sticking out is aluminium. Would that affect it being valley forge?

Previous owner left this and I'm somewhat stumped of how to build a flagpole. Originally missposted this instead of DIY, but thought y'all might have experience.

If you wear yoga pants and Uggs while drinking the pumpkin spice mead, you can be like 90% of American college women.

I've just started to make mead in the last year. But just started to flavor with spices. Cinnamon this month.

I've heard rumors that Canadian and European jails focus on actual rehabilitation. Rather than the American type where you just get cornholed.

I need to bottle the cinnamon. Otherwise I'll have liquid big red.

I've added a cinnamon stick to one and butterfly pea blossoms to another. Been lazy on bottling.

Any particular industries that you'd recommend? Yeah, not really digging the van down-by-the river scene, but I get your point. Doing my best to provide for this little guy; every study I've read points to a better upbringing with 2 parents. Really looking forward to teaching him manly things that my dad never taught me (shoot a gun, brew a beer, etc).

While I can never be full MGTOW (married with a newborn son ), this makes me cringe. The world is toxic out there for men, and the last thing we need is for the conscious denigration of men by actual men. The world is messed up, but I'm doing the best I can with this young one. Going to teach him how to shoot a gun, build a fire, mow the lawn, brew beer, and cook. We as a society have abdicated our roles as fathers and men, and have ended up with this. I know MGTOW is not fully supportive of kid…

Not technically a MGTOW (married with wife, son on the way-so technically a MGTOW supporter). Anyway, I'm digging up another shrub in my front yard, mulching for the first time ever, making some mead/beer, and taking it easy while I recover from a cold.
