Practicing mma only me made me realize how there is a much wider world of strong ass dudes out there. It made me less arrogant and more humble. Lets be real as much as fighting in the cage is fun. Ya got rules and people actually not trying to kill you. Reality ain't a action movie were you get a long drawn out fight. It only takes a 120lb tweaker with a 3inch knife to fuck up your day and his three other buddies that are possibly armed also. The encounter happens in mere seconds. Thats why prop…

If op reads this please dont waste money on clothes if you look like like a fat piece of lard or a soy latte. Ya gotta hit the gym first. Buy clothes after getting in shape. Just because you are wearing a designer brand outfit doesnt mean you look good. Dicaprio can make a 2 dollar white tshirt and walmart jeans look good. While beer belly porno stache cant pull off a gucci outfit. Finding confidence and self worth is very important but everyone has there own path to getting there.

You can get a nice used bass boat for around 3k to 5k. Just a little Tlc and its gorgeous. I got mine for fishing mainly then realized hey its easy pussy as long as you are not autistic. Im 21 myself so most girls i take on these boat dates is always a first for them. Got a nice secluded spot i found that is gorgeous when the sun starts to set. Always the deal sealer.

I just do whatever i feel like doing. Im not gonna waste my time catering a date toward someone. Im just gonna invite them along for the ride. Usually go coffee then hiking to see if they are crazy. Then if moving on its usually on my boat , off roading,Shooting range, archery, rock climbing or anything i feel like doing. Boat one always works the best for me.

Damn thats some tolerance there bud. I would of just walked away and went about with my life if she kept on going after setting some boudaries on politics. Its just a FWB. My time is worth more than being deepthroated by some feminist political bullshit logic. Would move on to option 2.

Dont worry you are not alone. Op is one of the outliers who matured faster and knew what he wanted. Which is really fucking awesome. 21 myself in college and still deciding on the path of my life. Bet you have been having those "wtf moments of what am i gonna do in my life" it hits hard. Figure out your own plan that you deem, will lead you to be succesful and go with it. Everyone probably had to deal with the inclusivess and diversity stuff. These folks will spew ahit about it all the time. But at the same will berate you for your independent thoughts and beliefs that differ from theirs. Exclude you for not having the same beliefs and will still go out of their way to harrass you for being the way you. What happen to including and having more diversity? Clearly im not included and im a diverse asset.

Have a muay thai base, then proceeded to do boxing, bjj and wrestling. Only just an amateur fighter in college still. Well it changed me by showing me the type of person I was in the face of adversity. Would i crumble in the face of adversity or face it head on? Well i crumbled, the first time i got in the ring and sparred i got socked in the face and immediately froze.I didn't even try to fight back i was just in shock. You are just hamstering excuses to not be accountable for your decisions. Just like a chick justifying it was ok to do this and that because this and that while feeling this and that. You can choose to not get hammered. You can choose to go out of state. You can choose not to go to a party school. You can choose the way you have fun. You can make the right choices for your betterment but its upto you to choose them. When you make a choice gotta learn to live with it.

Been up against the ropes getting kneed the shit out of. Been in the ring face first on the canvas not knowing what happened. Been in the cage getting my ass guillotined. Depsite all that there was always something in me that wouldnt let me give up. I just couldn't let myself down even at my worst moments. Go out and struggle and find what you are made of.

I never get writers block anymore. The reason why I got writers block is because I would constantly sit in my little studio tinkering around aimlessly on my guitar and piano trying to make something out of nothing. I would force myself to compose a piece only to struggle immensely. In the end, I realized I had nothing to write about. Since all i did was college, work, gym, practice my instruments and the occasional party or go out with friends. I was just kicking a dead horse the whole time. After…

You made a decision and thats that. Just learn to deal with the outcomes of your actions and just move on and keep doing your thing. Thats life, not all decisions have a perfect outcome. If you kept the relationship going after your boundaries were crossed. Your boundaries are bound to get crossed again. You give and inch and some…

Make sure to try out multiple gyms. There are alot of sham mma gyms . Definetly make sure the gym has atleast amateur fighters. With amateur fights the coach has to do all the stuff a manager would do for a pro fighter. So atleast you know he has fighters that prove to see if his teachings work or not. If all the fighters in the gym are like 0-6 something is wrong. Make sure the coach has a decent pedigree. The coach actually cares about safety of its members. I didnt realize that some coaches p…

Congrats man, this is what i like to read about when im scrolling through, not some bullshit of i slid into dms how to know if she like me. You got the idea down of catering things to your needs. Never fully rely on motivation. That shit is great when it hits but it goes just as quick. What you need to develop is discipline. Discipline keeps you going to get results either good or bad . Then those results either motivate or demotivate you but at the end of the day discipline will keep you grounded. I have those times where I do not wanna do something because the inner bitch in my brain is nagging at me not to do said thing. I have those time when I lose a fight and dont want to train any…

You are lucky. The boxing, muay thai and bjj team at my university are all ass. The skill level is really low and sparring is only about knocking the other person out. The only good one is wrestling but then again most of the guys have been doing it for their whole life. I just train at my mma gym since i get alot better training with my coach and other pro and amateur fighters. It is pretty cool when i meet people from my university come train at my gym since they realize the teams are a sham.

Same applies to boxing, muay thai and other combat sports. After doing boxing and muay thai for awhile. Big buff dudes that cant fight are not scary at all. They have this wierd mindset that they can day 1 walk in a gym and beat up fighters without any prior training. Its like saying i can walk on day 1 and outlift pro powerlifters. The illusion of having big muscles equal good at fighting is somehow ingrained in there bones.

Do muay thai if you have a reputable gym near that actually has active amateur or pro fighters. If you really want to do a martial art and cant afford it currently you will find away to afford it. Way your options. Is spending money to improve your physical well being worth it to you?

I beg to differ. From my experience the majority of jacked guys(usually all 200lbs+) that come into my mma gym with the most inflated ego(the ones that think they can fight) usually get dropped or submitted in the matter of seconds and usually done by a 140-150lb twig. This leads them to cracking when they realize the image they have built being the big dog is finally being tested then crushed. It leads to most usually never coming back. One guy ended up only doing private lessons with my coach …

This is a 110% normal. Doing mma, boxing, muay thai, wrestling and etc is a journey of being humbled. First when you start everyone bests your ass. This phase defines who you are. Are you gonna be a quitter or a person who accepts failure to improve and picks themselves backup. Overtime no matter how much ass you start to kick someone will come and humble you back down(cough cough my coach). Even the 17old fighter you sparred has gone through the same humbling as you and will be constantly humbled …

Well im in college to its a friday night for me you know what i do? I dont party or go out sinc ei prioritize my training. I get home from class at 9:20pm. Sleep at 10:30-11:00 pm then wake up at 6:30am go for atleast a mile run. Come back and cook breakfast by 8:30am so i have time to digest before i go MMA at 10:30am train till 12 or 2 depending on private lesson with coach or not. It varies from person to person. I have been hit in the nose plenty. Not broken once. I have other friends that have glass like noses. Break easy and bleed all the time. Muay thai, boxing, wrestling and or bjj. Fighting will make your confidence soar and build up an insane amount of willpower. First tip, keep your hands up. No matter how tired, broken and beat to shit you are keep them up. Second tip, show no fear or weakness. Even if you get rocked or messed up you fight back even harder. Trust your corner men if the need to throw in the towel arises.

Wait til you start doing combat sports for real. You will be a lot less inclined to do violence outside of the ring/cage. You will actually become a more peaceful person until the cage door closes. Muay thai and boxing for striking Wrestling and bjj for grappling Big tip when you go to a real fighting gym for the first throw all arrogance aside. You are at the bottom of the food chain.

The trp is like a huge hardware store full of tools. You yourself have a toolbox that is empty at the start. First you start picking and testing out some tools to get yourself started out. You pick one out give it a couple tries and you figure out it fits your needs and purposes. Later on you pick out another tool. You soon realize, hmm this tool is not for me i got to find a better fit. There starts the journey of trial and error. Through constant filtering you find what tools work for you and …

It seems its a matter of preference. I would always recomend boxing and muay thai since that is what i enjoy. I go to an mma gym that offers classes in boxing, muay thai, bjj, and wrestling. As soon as i started i fell in love with striking. I loved that feeling of slipping punches, catching kicks, the intricate footwork and etc. On the other hand grappling just didnt quite click with me. I totally agree with you. You can have all the knowledge in the world but being able to utilize and apply is the most important(cough cough people who read trp but dont do anything). Thats why practice makes perfect. Another ex. I can watch all the videos on youtube to learn about guitar but its pointless if i dont even pick up a guitar. Take the boxing class. People will say shit like "oh boxing is just a sport, would never work in a real fight, take self defense classes, kicks will fuck you up etc". Most of these people have never fought before or thrown a punch in their lives. These people already gave up before trying. You as the fighter can learn counters to whatever come your way. So what if boxing is your base. Someone low kicks you learn how to check a kick. Someone tries to go for a takedown on you learn how to sprawl. We…

Being a part of boy scouts. The best thing I learned is the value in comraderie and brotherhood. The value in that triumphs what ever pussy came across us and my brothers. Sadly that is not going to be learned anymore since they want to add girls in the mix so young boys do not have the chance to bond and learn the values of brotherhood. It seems to create an environment of pussy chasing. The feminist seem to realize that brotherhood is a huge threat to them so why not stop it.
