I think we all agree that women are treated softly in the military. I was just suggesting a possible rationale. As for umbrellas - I have lived (except for the past 7 months) my entire life in the Pacific NW. The only reason to carry an umbrella in rain is to keep your hair dry. I suspect it's because male Marines are generally bald as a cueball and have closed-necked dress uniforms. Female Marines are allowed to have (somewhat) long hair and have open-necked dress uniforms. LEO/courts can see juvenile records, FYI. "Clean record" just means future employers etc. aren't going to see it. So she has a sort of "black mark" for the future for LEO/court purposes. "Any white male teen" doesn't count as a victim, by the way. The law works on what people actually do, not what they might possibly do - thank goodness for that. I didn't see anything I'd consider "nasty." I saw that there were some cases of scrotal swelling and albumin in the urine (which may or may not mean anything depending on levels).
