A woman hiring an escort for physical needs would be devastating to a man, my logic is that women don't care about sex as much as emotional intimacy. So if a woman hired an escort for purely emotional reasons it would be an equivalent to a man hiring an escort for purely physical reasons. And many men don't care about a woman fulfilling some of her emotional needs outside the relationship as long as they are the only one she has sex with. Women shouldn't care if men get some of their physical ne…

Is it though? A lot of us here are in or will eventually be in a monogamous relationship after years of pickup, and let's face it, unlearning pickup is almost impossible once ingrained. So the idea of living an ethical life once out the game is relevant; even Neil Strauss from the game cheated after his happy ending. And yes, there are open relationships, but from my experience, these are often rare, usually unstable, and collapse once children become involved. How many married couples with kids…

And what if the truth never comes out? Cheating is usually revealed when the mistress makes contact with the cheater at the wrong time, or the woman finds evidence, which is not usually present with a sex professional. Is it wrong if the spouse never finds out?

Ah so for you, the issue is that the woman will eventually find out. What if she never does?

First off, don't make this personal. I have never cheated. For the sake of debate though, let's say this is that hypothetical world. An escort is very different from a lover. Escorts don't go contacting clients or getting involved. There is rarely a paper trail. Being "sneaky" is as easy as deleting a single text. In many cases there's even less evidence than that.

I never said I was planning on seeing an escort or even in a relationship. So stop reading between the lines and trying to make this personal because you're wasting your time, I'm looking for a philosophical debate here. Are you capable of that?

I would feel upset, BUT that's an unrealistic scenario. Women don't have the same intense physical needs that men do, they have intense needs for emotional intimacy and validation. An escort can't provide that. But a lot of women do seek emotional validation and intimacy outside of the relationship via accepting flirtations from men on nights out, posting provocative photos on social media, or even keeping a few male friends (orbiters) around. While the same behavior from a man would make a lot …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
