"Political correctness" is a meaningless buzzword created by conservative bigots to invent an argument to throw around when they want to say something racist/sexist/homophobic/generally bigoted and they don't want to be held accountable for their beliefs. It's cowardly - if you're a sexist or a racist, at least be honest with yourself and the world about it, instead of pretending that society itself has drastically swiveled to make it seem like you're a bigot when you're actually just 'telling i…

From what I've experienced, TBP is literally just a sub satirizing TRP and almost none of the posts are meant to be taken seriously. Labeling it as an 'echo chamber' is taking it too seriously, for example. People on there have already so roundly rejected TRP theory that they no longer even need to echo one another, they just get their giggles from making fun of awkward sexists trying to out-macho-swagger one another. I agree with your last statement, that the world is too weird and complicated …

But why don't you spend all your time posting on internet message boards obsessing over TRP and your identity as an ex-TRPer?? Because if you don't do that, how will we ever know if TRP is "the truth" or not???

There's a reason why personal experiences are labeled as 'anecdotal evidence' and largely rejected as the basis for a logical supposition. Sure, they matter, but they can't be used to posit universal truths, because people are too inherently different and fundamentally biased to apply their experiences across a broad range of situations. So, as useful as they may be to OP's life decisions, there really isn't a significant reason to be discussing an argument based on them, imo. If my personal exp…

And that's based on the assumption that people who come to TRP are more clueless about relationships than people who come to TBP. This is a fairly safe assumption, given that most people who have any sort of clue about relationships don't have to seek out internet manosphere echo chambers to teach them how to more successfully attract vulnerable women and manipulate them into having sex. Most people can get there on their own, without the need to construct an alternate reality fueled by their ow…

These BP girls can be played just as easy, even easier than most other girls. I love claims like this where OP doesn't even try to provide any evidence to back himself up. Ok man, sure it works on every girl. We're just too narrow minded and brainwashed to realize it. But you are enlightened, because you have seduced every kind of woman on earth, and can therefore make claims like this off the cuff, as an expert. Next time you "game" a blue piller, please provide documentary evidence, preferably…

It's laughable that OP considers Blue Pillers to be closed minded and not smart enough to see "the truth", when he seems so convinced that his life experiences are universal. None of my female friends would go near somebody using the blatantly transparent and manipulative TRP techniques on them, because I'm friends with mature women with good self esteem who are highly intelligent and rational. TRP doesn't work on this type of woman, and there's a good reason for that. But since OP has never tri…

Actually, what he's saying is that his real life experiences are more likely to influence him because that's what others would consider facts. TRP isn't 'facts', it's a collection of (dubious) anecdotal evidence. There are zero facts that prove TRP theory, but for some people, what they see is what they believe, and they're incapable of abstract thinking. Besides, the problem with anecdotal evidence is that for every TRP guy posting "true" field reports that absolutely prove to them that TRP is …

You're kidding right? Do you have any idea how many people in this world don't consider periods "gross"? Most of them. Most grown-ass adults. Pretty much everyone who isn't a giant prepubescent manbaby like you. And do you have any idea how many men throughout history have literally stashed menstruating women in isolated huts to avoid dealing with that shit? And yet the idea that a father might possibly be a shithead to his daughter about her period is somehow feminism's fault?? Look I get that …

If you try to frame human interaction in simplistic inane wolf terms like "alpha" and "beta", we all clearly know you're a huge fucking nerd who can't get laid, regardless of how many times you say "faggot", kid.

Haha I can't imagine being the kind of awkward loser who has to resort to these little "tips n tricks" from PUAs to get girls. Congrats on getting the number bro - too bad you didn't actually figure out how to seal the deal however.

It is always better to give people the benefit of the doubt if you have no reason to distrust them. Sure, you might risk being disrespected now and then - but at least you'll go through life with an open mind and not with a mind cramped by distrust and bias. Life is a series of risks - if you want a rich life full of healthy relationships with equals who open up to you, you have to risk a few bad experiences once in awhile.

I'm not saying some women don't do this - but saying that 90% of women do it makes it obvious that your judgment is being clouded by your biases. I can think of few things that 90% of all women do. Not even menstruation.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/16 11:23 PM

That's because to assume that 90% of women would ask a guy for a few minutes of completely tame help as some kind of Machiavellian power play is paranoid and ridiculous to any well-adjusted person with a decent amount of life experience.

I respect that but no criticism at all even from those on the in is too much, as I've said elsewhere in this thread the current liberal safe spaces i've seen are cuddleboxes I'm just having so much trouble believing anyone in this thread has spent any amount of time in 'liberal safe spaces'...or 'feminist safe spaces'...or any safe spaces. A) Why would you, except to stir shit up? None of you are liberals, or feminists, or approve of safe spaces. B) If you go there with the express intent of sti…

I have yet to see a safe space that is as you describe. Because you spend so much time hanging around safe spaces, right? That may be, but that's not how it plays out. See my previous post: "The rules are there to prevent morons from coming in and harassing people" I'm actually in a safe space community. We've never had to ban anyone, and there's been plenty of dissent and arguments. If a TRP joined up and never attacked anyone or harassed anyone, they would never get banned. But I doubt it woul…

I don't think there's enough of a difference to warrant the ways in which TRP's hatefully describe 'feminist safe spaces' as if they would never be involved in such degrading things. You started out by describing them as places which don't tolerate 'dissent' or 'differing opinions' and 'force people to agree with feminism' and yet the only difference I can see, is members on TRP can call each other names. I'm pretty sure that if I went there and posted personal attacks, that wouldn't be tolerate…

Here's what I consider a safe space - a space that encourages discussion and debate without personal attacks. Ok on a safe space: "Are you kidding? I totally disagree - here's why:" Not ok on a safe space: "You're a feminazi and should be raped." It's pretty much as simple as that. Sometimes people just want to duck out of the rest of the internet sometimes, where people think arguing means "You ugly cunt I hope you die in a car crash". It's not about discouraging dissent, it's about encouraging…

I'm talking about my group, which isn't about feminism, it's about women. So, unsurprisingly, we don't sit around arguing about gender politics constantly. If someone wants to have an argument about feminism, that's fine. If we were being constantly invaded by TRP trolls trying to tell us why, as women, we are actually all illogical children who are genetically predisposed to slutting around, that would be a different story. And that isn't about forcing people to agree to the basic tenets of fem…

Um, bigotry has a set definition - "Bigotry is an unjustified prejudice against a group of people, commonly races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, or politics." What makes bigotry different from prejudice is that bigotry is defined by actions, while prejudice is defined by thoughts. So no one is trying to police people's thoughts - just prevent them from acting in ways that harm others. I never said I get to decide what counts as bigotry, except in my own mind. Bigotry is mostly defined…

I'm involved in two of these. One is women-only, one isn't. Much of what we talk about is just goofy stuff, but a bunch of it deals with mental-health issues, body positivity, dating, substance abuse, whatever our members are dealing with currently. On the women-only one, women post naked pictures sometimes, and talk about their sex lives in a much more open way than they do on the other one, but that's about the only difference. We don't ban people for dissenting opinions, we don't ban people f…

No, it's not. The fact that you think that the 'SJWs' who are trying to get people to understand about cultural appropriation are 'sheep' is irrelevant, because your ideas about feminism are not universal truths. I don't need to bait and switch in this argument, because the feminist movement isn't actually the straw-movement that you TERPs rail against. Putting up ads and signs about people wearing other people's cultural artifacts as halloween costumes is information, it's not thought-policing,…

Except that you get hounded for being a beta/orbiter/doormat/etc. I don't know what you mean by that. Where? The message of safe spaces is "it's not your fault for being different, it's the others' fault for not accepting you being different" - and yeah, that's exactly what it is, though I am curious how you'll try to spin it around. I'm not going to try to spin it around. You're right - that's the message of safe spaces, and it's a message I 100% agree with. Because gay people, black people, wo…

Yeah, no, see - that's not my logic, that's the logic you just put in my mouth instead of understanding what I was saying. I don't want to hide bigotry, I don't want to thought police anyone. No one is saying 'don't say those things that are mean' - even in the safe spaces you're mocking, they're saying 'we don't accept bigots or bigoted statements here,' which isn't even remotely the same as saying 'we don't accept mean comments'. Feminists want to help educate people and make them aware of the…

If by that you mean they want to rid the world of bigotry - try to limit the amount of racism, sexism, homophobia, anti-semitism, transphobia, etc. that those people have to face on a daily basis - I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with that. What you think feminists want: "nobody can ever say anything bad against women or gays or black people ever again, choose your words carefully or else you're gonna get thrown in jail" What feminists actually want: "We need to educate people so th…

So you think 'don't be a racist/sexist/homophobe' is the same as 'consoling each other and saying 'don't worry it's not your fault' do you? All they're saying there is that bigots aren't welcome to harass people for being black/gay/female/trans/jewish/whatever, they're not saying 'you can't give tough advice or hard truth' and they're not saying 'don't worry it's not your fault' anywhere....

If I'm not mistaken, a feminist safe space is a place where nobody says anything offensive, there's no arguing, and everyone must agree with the basics of feminism. You're mistaken. Everyone in here is mistaken, because none of you have actually ever been in a feminist safe space, and all you know about them comes from other TRP members who have also never been in one, but who hate feminists and want to make them seem as ridiculous and weak and evil as possible.

You're moving the goalposts. In your scenario, it would have to go like this: "You need to throw that guy out because he's black!" "You need to throw that guy out because he's gay!" "You need to throw that guy out because he thinks women are illogical and child-like" You're not gonna get thrown out of a bar for that, bro. You're just not. If you start shit with other people, maybe, but just for expressing the thought? No. So now what? You guys seem to hate the idea of 'the oppression olympics', …

A safe space would be if everyone on trp was consoling each other and saying "don't worry it's not your fault" Again - you guys seem to think you know so much about safe spaces. I'm willing to bet you've never been involved in one of those communities, mostly because it's clear you have no idea what goes on in there except for whatever nonsense TRP has fed you.

TRP is a place where you can say whatever the fuck you want Unless you're saying "you guys are misogynists" or "I met a woman who wasn't AWALT because AWALT is nonsense". So. Not 'whatever the fuck you want'. It's 'whatever the fuck you want that's on-message' A safe space is the opposite Have you ever been involved in a safe space community other than TRP? You guys seem to think you know a lot about them.

You seem to have conflated "respect one another" with "no bad feels". The idea of being in a safe space where you don't get discriminated against by bigots (which is what it states - sex, race, sexual orientation, age, disability) is not the same as a 'coddled hug box'. People in these places can still have disagreements and talk about big bad real world realities, they can just do it without anyone calling them a faggot or a nigger when they disagree. You seem to think that "thou shalt not trig…

but the whole safe space/I fear any kind of push back is bullshit regardless of the gender. So your characterization of the difference between TRP and 'safe spaces' for women is that on TRP you guys just don't want to bother with any kind of pushback because it dilutes the message, but you've decided that women's safe spaces exist because they fear any kind of pushback? Have you not considered that maybe those spaces exist the way they do for exactly the same reason as TRP? Because they don't wa…

This is ridiculous - I'm about as BP as they come and also about as agnostic as they come, and sweeping innacurate generalizations like this are the major reason why I think TRP is a crock. From what I've read on TRP you people seem awful eager to blame your issues on biology and shit like evo psych and what's more useful in giving up responsibility than that? There is no core Blue Pill belief system or ideology other than "The Red Pill is fucking ridiculous", and if you think everyone who belie…
