It appears to me that, besides the nautical vocabulary, you all just want a normal relationship where the power is about 60/40 male/female.

I'd seen mostly negative reactions to red pill ideals throughout reddit as well and that's why I came to form my own opinion. Overall my own experiences and morals don't line up with those of this and related subreddits, but I can see why it would appeal to some. As you said in your comment, some women find the idea of not making decisions at home appealing if you've made decisions all day at work. Anyway, thanks for the reply. Cheers!

This is very well written and it certainly answers my original question! Thanks.

Just because something always has been does a certain way not make it right. It also, however, doesn't make it wrong. The idea that someone would think there's a right and wrong way to universally act in a romantic relationship is ridiculous. I'm well aware of the practices of modern vs traditional gender roles. It's possible to be happy in either situation, it just depends on the personalities of all parties involved. I didn't come here to question your ideals, live and let live man.

Sounds like you have a solid relationship with good communication, good for you guys! The Trekkie in me wants to ask if you ever tell her "make it so number 1!"

Lurking in the comment sections generally. I admit I only looked through a few threads to get a gist of what this place was all about. Though I don't study psychology I find this kind of stuff interesting.

To me this sounds like a light Dom/Sub bdsm thing in a non sexual context.

This just sounds like basic communication in a relationship to me. What would concern me if I were in a relationship with a woman of a red-pill mindset would be that she wouldn't offer her opinion on these kinds of things. If she honestly didn't like doing something I'd expect her to refuse or say something about it.

I don't see any of that as sexist. I see that while one person is making the decisions it's still mutual. Thanks for the answer! Clears things up a bit for me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
