I think that the reason you want to stay is the same reason you got with her: you love this woman. You may not love who she is at times but you love her. That love and a change in her attitude can lead you to question whether not you're ready to move on. It's not a problem until it a problem. So may need to separate yourself from her wholly for a bit. Gather your thoughts and think about the totality of her personage and what's best for you and your children in the long run. I hope everything wo…

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I will genuinely incorporate this into my routine... Well as soon as I get a routine. My life is kinda: work, home, kids, gf, bed. Also, I kinda stalked your profile and saw all the advice you dole out and I wanted to say thanks for doing that. I don't really have a lot family and friends who can readily reply so this helps alot. Happy new year.

Thanks for the advice, man! I definitely agree. I really wish I would've waited and worked on me more but it all happened so fast. I don't know if you ever saw How I met Your Mother but there is an episode about this girl that the main character has been trying to get with but she has a narrow window of being single. That's kinda how this was (literally a week later and GW would've been with another guy). I don't even know where to start on me though. I'm just kinda existing at the moment.

So a lot has happened since this post. We made up and were great for two months - and I mean great. We were going out on dates, talking, laughing and just generally enjoying “us”. Well, that all changed on Easter Sunday. We had a huge fight over going over her dad’s house. At the time, we had just spent the day with her aunt and mom and it was about 7 when we decided to get on the road. My wife’s father lives about 10 minutes off route and had been working on her car for the last week and she wa…

She came back the day after I posted this and wants to stay. I’m a little leery of the proposition, given that she even considered leaving. And thanks for the advice on the custody and alimony. I drafted a Divorce Settlement Agreement giving me primary custody, and forfeiting her rights to alimony.

Yes, her work schedule wouldn’t allow her to care for them.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
