Good that you confirmed then. And doing it the way you did it (indirectly) is often a good move too (i.e. mind if we push back 15 mins today, etc). Odd excuse though. Does not seem like a good sign so I would manage your expectations accordingly (which sounds like you have). After dating more I frankly got tired of girls who showed any bit of wishy washiness. I just found it to be rude as fuck tbh.

There are varying schools of thought on this but I almost always do it for first dates because I’ve been straight ghosted before. I’d rather know than show up and waste time. Some will say you look unconfident, not assertive, etc but nothing is worse than getting stood up and wasting your precious time. It happens.

It will hurt. But that’s okay. Life is full of ups and downs and learning experiences. There isn’t always equality, fairness or righteousness. Accept that and control what you can - which is betting yourself. Embrace the rage/sadness/disappointment and use it to better yourself. Heartbreak and failure are one of mankind’s best teachers. Just make sure you channel it the right way.
