That sounds pretty sweet. However, I'd go out on a limb and say that most guys who play video games all night every night are significantly more likely to be in the lowest tier of success rather than the highest. There are always exceptions of course.

When my wife and I were dating, she was CLEARLY interested in sex, and showed that she was very turned on, but asked me to wait a little bit longer. That SHOW of sexual interest was enough to tide me over, so that I know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. NOBODY wants to wait and wait and wait for something, then the 'big prize' is starfish sex once a month.... that's the ultimate humiliation. You need to show him somehow that that won't be the case - that you're worth the wait, and …

I'll somehow bring up "I'm looking to have a family" in the conversation Say "I'm looking to have a family someday", because the way you say it without "someday" means "right now" to most guys, which is terrifying and way too soon.

Eventually we'll all live forever with perfect youthful bodies and then much of our culture will change as well. I think if we're lucky, that will happen in our great grandchildrens' lifetime, but not ours.

If you have kids with a guy who is 45, just know that your son may never get to play ball with his dad. Or he may have to go to his dad's funeral as a teenager. Or he may be an only-child.

I do not know my wife's N-Count. However, I can tell it can't be high because of how she changed after we had sex. There's just something about sex that can trigger the "in love" feeling in women's brains. I've seen it first hand twice. However, I also know that it cannot trigger so often for the same woman so many times so often - and you can tell when that switch is just not going off for someone. A lot of TRP theories suggest that women who have a lot of sex 'burn out' this switch and it less…

I can't argue with that. I recommend looking at the latest census and see for yourself the supply/demand of singles in your area. I bet it will be surprising to learn that you're in an 'oversupply of hot single women' area. I can point you to places where there's such a desperate shortage of women, that quality men will fight over marrying the overweight, nagging bitch. I'm sure in those places you'd be a top 1%'er and have flowers delivered to you from secret admirers on a daily basis competing…

I think which city you live in can taint your experiences a lot. Do you live downtown of a major urban centre? Or do you live in a smaller (less than 500k people) town where there are more families? new York for example has many many more women than men that are dating, and the men who are dating, have very high SMV in terms of status/wealth/etc, who went to New York specifically to make a name for themselves and enjoy the spoils of their labour (women, drinks, wealth, etc..). Same thing in San …

I need advice on how to stop worrying about men only caring about me for my youthful looks. What else do you offer? If all you have going for you is looks, then yes, you should be worried. However, hopefully you have other things, like: a pleasant demeanor supportive and make him feel good good cook, other domestic duties good follower, help him on his mission if you want to be a stay at home mom, add economic value other than bringing home money (pack lunches, sew new curtains so you don't have…

You can't force him to do stuff for you, but many people have given you PLENTY of things to work on about yourself. Maybe focus on the things you can do to improve for now, and you might be surprised about how other things get better on their own.

She could just do it herself if it bothered her. "mind if I take out the trash?" then do it. 10 minutes and she's shown incredible wife potential. Instead she's barely girlfriend material, nagging him about taking the garbage out? What a waste of an opportunity.

I’ve been asking/reminding him when I come over to throw out this large gift bag that’s turned into a trash bag Why are you telling him what to do in his own house? You're a GUEST yet you're walking around like you own the place. If you want to improve your relationship, you need to stop trying to control him. It's not that you don't trust him, it's that you don't trust him when he agrees to do shit that you nag him into. The garbage thing especially bothers me about reading this, because it's a…

In a lot of places (like where I live) if you co-habitate for more than 12 months (some places 6, some places 24) you are married in the eyes of the law (common law). I know a lot of places in the USA isn't like this, but most of the world has commonlaw relationship rules that are almost as strong as marriage laws.

Also, most people don't have millions and millions of dollars on the line and a reputation that could be ruined, costing livelihood for 'scandal' that ends up being just "fighting because she wouldn't hang up the towels".

I’m the sort of person who likes to work things out as a couple and talk about it first and then come to a conclusion This can have mixed results. Do you trust him? If you do, just simply relay your feelings to him, and let it be. The problem will be solved the next time you talk. You can relax and not worry about that problem anymore.

Reading TRP or askTRP is like taking testosterone. Can be extraordinarily beneficial for men, but it's extremely bad for women. It's medicine. It looks and tastes like poison, and to many it is, but it has surprising effects when taken correctly.

Pack food and pre-emptively offer some snacks. Not just "would you like snacks", but instead just open the bag of grapes, put them within arms reach and maybe feed him one while he drives. Same thing with juice/water. Have map ready and make a few notes of places to stop, but wait until he asks for help. Be a helpful navigator, not just a passenger. Have a few things that you want to see/do, but don't make the plan. Let him know a few things you'd like to do, but don't peg your happiness on arti…

I think you're being a little hyperbolic. My mom worked in academia. On her CV she'd list works she published, and she just bolded her maiden name to identify herself. Sure there will be some people who won't make the connection, but if they're looking at you for a job, they'll definitely be looking carefully. She's in her 60's now, so the work she did in her early 20s isnt' as important to her recent stuff, but on her website and on her linked in and other social media, she just has a little su…

So, yes, her career is most important. Indra Nooyi took her husband's last name. She's the CEO of Pepsi. Food for thought. She famously said in an interview that as soon as she walks in the door of her home, she's no longer the CEO, because that doesn't work for her family and relationship. Edit: It was in a freakonomics episode where her mother told her to leave her 'crown' in the garage. I over heard him telling the same friend that Im desperate to settle down because I suggested we buy a house together I think a lot of other commenters have this wrong. He sounds a little insecure, but I think this is his way of feeling out his friends' opinions on buying a house with you. If he says "Yea, she seems like she wants to settle down right away and get a house with me" and his buddy replies "that doesn't seem so bad" then he has vetted the idea with some confidents. If the buddy repl…

I'm hijacking the top comment because this is a special legal tactic. It has to do with Joint and Several liability. It basically means that even if the school is only 1% at fault, she can recover ALL her settlement from the school instead of the driver - which is MUCH easier, especially if there's no insurance. This isn't so much a "feminine entitlement" example as much as it is a call for tort reform, which many states are trying to do for this exact reason.

I like this advice. The picture of a judge quietly contemplating a woman, letting her go off, then calmly explaining why it's not a good idea, is a good way for me to imagine handling irate women in my life.

I am devoted, rather laid back, have a great career, own my home, am good looking etc. Being devoted is good, but should be earned. IF you're devoted from day 1, it means you probably are feigning it, he's not special, and you've probably done it for every Tom, Dick and harry you've come across. Laid back is tricky and it will depend what you mean by this. Some people misinterpret this as being aloof and uncaring. Some will bend over backwards to seem laid back, but then it's misunderstood as be…

Tough call. On the one hand it sounds like bad leadership. Why isn't he handling his shit? On the other hand he's given you a very simple task that supports the work he does. Try this: "honey, how do you want me to handle the cheques that aren't signed? The bank doesn't accept them unfortunately." say this innocently of course, bad tone will ruin it. Plus notice how it says "aren't signed" instead of "the ones YOU didn't sign" ? It's less accusatory - it's a good way to speak in offices too, peo…

If it was my wife: "Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm in the middle of an important brief and I need you to take this one. Looks like I need to manage my time better on this case." Result: she'll do it, be validated that she helped and brought it to your attention, but it's still framed as a fair leader who takes criticism well. You start by admitting that you weren't/aren't owning your shit at home if she brought it up to you. You might not be ready to delegate, as the delegated need …

If you actually found it, why didn't you just send him the link with "I want this for my birthday" He could have picked a color that he liked you to wear, and that would have been his contribution to it. Or you could have shown him three that you definitely like, and he could pick the one he wants you to have. As a guy, I don't know what satin means. Don't overthink it at this point. Just do it for 6 months and see how it goes. You won't plateau before 6 months, so don't worry about that yet. Actions > Words. I also like doing dumbbell overhead press - that way you don't have that bar in front of your face. I also sit on the bench (WITH backrest) and keep my back firmly against it. I have a tendency to arch my back on overhead presses when it's a hard lift and that's TERRIBLE for your back. Sitting on the bench with it angled at 90 degrees h…

If you're just starting it, do a few weeks of 1x5 with 95 lbs first. You'll be surprised, I think it's enough. Go slow, like take 3-5 seconds to lift it each rep and focus on posture. Trust me. I took a collegue at work to the gym (he's 54). I was doing some exercises and he wanted to kick it up a notch (pride? competitive nature? drive for efficiency? some silly notion? I don't know). Anyways he dislocated a rib straining a squat and hasn't been back in months. Don't be him.

Careful with the 5 sets of deadlift - you won't feel it at the time, but you can strain those muscles (you'll know the next morning). I did that once - took about a week and a half to recover and I'm 12 years younger than you. My advice is to do some supplementary exercises instead - like wide grip pullups or rear deltoid. I also like the back extension bench thing while holding a small weight in your arms.
