Hi ladies!

Last night, while brushing my teeth, the concept of “self-improvement” came to mind. I felt a pang of guilt because I have been really trying to wake up early lately and almost completely failing. I want to use that time to do other self improvement things and work. So I thought to myself, “am I really improving myself?”

A moment later, I realized the answer was actually yes. This past week I’ve made a very deliberate decision to be more patient, loving, gentle, and kind, and to let go of anxiety and negativity. I’ve been feeling more peaceful, joyful, and inspired. Like a weight is lifting. I mostly pray silently and breathe to move my mind in a better direction. I was very successful this week!

I also realized that all of these qualities, or a joyful state of being in general, makes women more lovable to their men. So not only is it just awesome in general to have a healthier mental landscape and a more developed character, but our relationships directly benefit from it too.

My main point is that there are types of self improvement that are very measurable and concrete and some that are more abstract that are just as important. The intangible stuff can even help to accomplish the measurable stuff.

So I just wanted to encourage anyone out there who is backtracking in some areas like me! Mental and character improvements are super important as well even if they are harder to measure. Celebrate them!

I’ll still be setting my alarm clock tonight though, wish me luck ;)
