Literally the same experience I had. But her friends and family (sister, Mom, cousins, aunts, uncles) have been immensely supportive. But somehow, I'm still the narcissist abuser...

I have the means to fight her. She the other hand, Im not even sure how she is paying for the lawyer she has for our current custody custody case. This is just the one in a line of issues (not allowing our oldest son to go to the college prep high school he got into, the storage unit, repossession of a car that was awarded to her in the divorce, 4 failed Personal Protection Orders against me, constant accusations and threats). Im just fed up with her crap.

Yes I would. Not only does it set a good example for the children, it also shows you are above the petty BS she is spewing at you. I did this with my kids, I even had them buy her a card and flowers. Since she was telling everyone under the sun that I was an abusive narcissistic cheater, it just made her seem bitter and petty to everyone who knows us both. (Bonus she complained to her lawyer, and he basically told her to suck it up because it was from my kids and she should just enjoy it. Her ow…

Michigan is generally 1/3 of the length of the marriage, unless over 20 years. There is not an official calculator (as the court uses marginsoft as a baseline) then the judge can adjust up or down from there. Michigan is a no fault state, but fault CAN (not always) be applied to Spousal Support in cases of infidelity or abuse. Usually it depends on the judge and county if this is going to happen.

Per the binding mediation, I have to pay him prior to the final decree being signed by the judge. My lawyers office has the money and will issue the payment.

So, my stbx had an emotional affair and asked me for a divorce about two weeks before I had lumbar fusion surgery. So I took the recovery time and time after to restart therapy and try to work on me and saving the marriage. My Therapist essential helped me realize there was not saving the marriage. We were still living together at this point with the understanding that it wasnt to involve or upset the kids. Fast forward to filing for divorce before she could, and an old friend reached out right …

Im not moving back in, my STBXW is crazy and abusive. I have had two now file to Personal Protection Orders against her, but because Im the man, they were denied. Also, not going to mediation now just kicks the can down the road. I filed 5 months ago and we still have not had a hearing to enter our divorce before a court. With the court being so backlogged getting mediation out of the way now, instead of waiting until its a judgement to attend, allows us to move to trial faster than waiting. I s…
