Because when you do, you're called a asshole and shamed for it.

Have been , I just feel like I am on house arrest. Sucks.

My friend wants me to give my ex a second chance at a relationship as if nothing has changed. The reason she stated it that way it seems. This ex is nothing but a ghost of my past to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 04:35 PM

This is my post about it. No , never means maybe. I am a 25m my very much ex-girlfriend is 25f. Have grown up together, and our friend group is just that ours. We dated from middle school until the first few months of college. We went to different colleges far enough apart we only saw each other on the weekends. A few months into college, one Friday morning, she calls me and asks to take a break so we can have a full college experience. I declined her offer because there is no such thing as taki…

I absolutely agree with you. Why I have repeatedly told her I would never get back together with her. That we are no longer compatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 04:03 PM

It's just insane that she wanted a break, and I said no, and we parted ways that was over 3 years ago. She moves back home after college and expects us to just pick up where we left off.

I wish my uncle would have asked his wife for a paternity test before he signed the birth certificate and raised another man's child for 4 years. Maybe he would be alive today.

Sorry that happened to you.

So, it ended in divorce?

Kinda sad. My ex thought she could have a wild college phase, and I would wait for her to finish and come settle down with me. And when I turned her down flat, she completely lost her sanity. The more she pushes her agenda, the more damage she does to her life. I told her she would either have to move away and start over and lie about her college days. And pray her future partner never learns about it. Or just settle being a temp with guys just using her around here.

Had an ex who believed I had a pause button. She called one Friday morning and said we should take a break so we could have a complete college experience, and later that night, she slept with some frat boy, I imagine. Went NC with her, and 4 years later, she is back home trying to pick up where we left off. And that's a solid, no thank you.

Yeah, I just feel shitty I had to get a restraining order against her, and this stupid mess is spilling over our families and friends. Which was the last thing I wanted.

I got kicked in the teeth by her years ago. I am unwilling to give her a second chance to just do the same thing again. I asked her that question to shut her up after 3 hours of her badgering me about dating again. I tried to be nice and polite before that. Told her no thank you, we are way too different people, and we are not compatible anymore. And she kept pushing and pushing. We have a mutual friend group I wanted to keep out of it.

She broke my heart years ago. Took me a few years before I even started dating again. And she comes back like okay our break is over. Let's pick up where we left. Wtf is she thinking.

And just got progressively worse from there turned into full-on stalking and harassment.

No longer compatible Dated a girl I thought was the one in high school and the beginning of college. A few months into only being able to see eachother on the weekends. I get the we should take a break so we can live a full college experience. So after some arguments we break up. We go full no contact and I focus on school while I hear stories here and there about her full college experience from mutual friends. I finished school and moved back home and opened my own business. This past weekend …

I am happy that you were honest and found someone who was compatible with you. Not what is happening in my case.

I agree. She should keep within that demographic with people who lived a similar college experience.

Yeah, she is completely delusional at this point.

I didn't want one , all my relationships have been fairly long term. I need an emotional connection before I want a physical one.

Don't want to be with her. I moved past her years ago.

The very ex-girlfriend and some of our mutual friends.

I told her no, we are no longer compatible. But that wasn't a suitable answer for her. I absolutely tried not to shame her. But she just kept pushing, showing up everywhere I was, has been relentless. Even went too far as to scream at me while I was out on a date. So I have to get a restraining order against her. Which is sad.

No, seriously, why am I at fault for turning her down. I kept saying no, and she kept pushing the issue. Disrupting my life at every turn because of it.

I have an ex that after her hoe phase. Decided that she wanted to settle down with me. When I declined her offer, she went insane. So much so I have had to get a restraining order against her. I it was her choice to take that off ramp.now she has to live with that choice.

Virginity is not at all a big deal to most men. Everyone has a past. But you also don't want the town bicycle either.

And I agree with that. In my case, I had a girlfriend that 2 months after starting college called me to take a break while we were in college so we could have the full college experience. I declined her offer. 3 years of no contact, she just appears and is pushing for us to pick up where we left off. I have also declined . But she is not taking no for a answer.

I agree that some men are dogs , and some are not. Life is full of choices and consequences.

They absolutely can, but then they need to stay in that lane. Not screw everything in sight, then decide they had enough fun time to find a good guy to take care of me

I agree that men who do that are hypocrites and add to the same problem you are complaining about. Like me, I find the whole hookup culture disgusting. Never got involved in it. Or be in a relationship with someone who was.

But even when you tell them to buzz off, they freak out. So it's a loose, loose situation. It's like when you politely tell them no thank you . They won't accept that as a real answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 04:04 PM

Damned if you do damned if you don't. Is my experience with it so far. Also, I would change allowed to maybe prefer

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
