You've got me there, I'm such a misandrist!

Me. I'd go insane and learn every hobby and skill.

What's stopping everyone from making shit up for money?

If you had a year of all expenses paid-- rent, hobbies, food, trips, etc etc-- would you do nothing?

Partnership, emotional support, division of chores, loyalty, depentability, ambition, parenting contribution, different perspective, physical strenght (in my case getting stuff off the top shelf), support for growth-- emotional, intellectual, personal. Most women I know are with their partners not because of a need they fullfill, but because they want to be with them.

It depends on what kind of woman he chooses to be his partner. Some women are emotionally immature, emotionally unintelligent, have never been put in a situation where they need to be the emotional support. While trusted male friends or mentors are also important, emotional support is part of a healthy relationship.

And how common is it for men to be single fathers?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 10:49 AM

There's a reason people feel strongly about loneliness (familial, romantic, friendships) we are still a social species with biological drives. OP you are not a failure for still holding resentment towards the past and feeling frustrated. It's good that you're aware of it and take steps accordingly, you haven't failed just because you're faced with a difficult situation.

Do you think it's standard here in Europe to do ""cheap"" dates? I only ever hear people from the US complain about dinner dates, I've never even considered the idea unless in a commited relationship already.

I was referring to coffee dates, not dinner dates. Coffee costs 3-5 € here, it's a good way to get to know someone and neither party will feel hurt for paying.

I do! :) that's why I like coffee dates, you get to feel out the other person without anyone feeling exploited, and it's good financially for both parties.

Not an excuse for people engaging in unhealthy habits but I don't think those magic weight loss drugs are available to the average joe.

Why isn't it more widely accepted to video/voice call before meeting, then meet at a coffee place? That's an inexpensive date. I can't imagine dating someone who keeps score of pennies like that also.

I agree that the average man didn't set that system up, it's almost like it's not the women who are at fault.

Yep, good example of how stereotypes can be harmful!

idk what women you're talking about but my support system is wholly female, I have forwarded my friends job opportunities, offered emotional and financial support, also in cases of harassment/distress in public often random women have reached out to help I'm european tho

if you put it that way, effeminate men should also be used like that, plus no risk of getting pregnant/miscarriage to boost morale of course
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 06:38 PM

and who set that system up?

There are far, far more women not "partying it up" worrying about their husbands, brothers, sons and being the main breadwinners for their children in whatever country they emigrated into to protect their families. "Ukrainian women partying up" seems like a stereotype imho.

I used dating "roaches" because they actively prey on vulnerable men, they're not there to teach they're there to make a profit off of you. It's a valid problem.

I don't see men creating spaces of support for each other. And I don't mean "talk it out" coddle groups or dating roaches.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 12:21 PM

Literally no idea who you just namedropped. If you're only looking for sex with Instagram models then skip the dance, miscommunications and possible disappointment and just pay for an escort. I'm talking about the average woman who's looking for a relationship, not a high maintenance, social media obsessed narc.

Usually, personally, what makes a man more attractive than what he looks like is his charizma and soft skills so he wouldn't be a 8 if he lacks in that regard. However if he's kind, stable, has similar hobbies, is socially aware, and just has been undersocialized I would probably try to integrate him into my friend group and try to befriend him. Get absorbed into the friend circle idiot.

Great qualities and fully agree with the "I'm a woman I'm always right and don't apologize" shit being whack and more women should be called out on it. Also weaponized psychology. Like tf you mean every ex was a covert narc? Seems the common denominator is you. Sincerely, a not emotionally stable 🐴 (neigh) woman

As a strong leftie, agree with the "putting a group of people on a pedestal". Also lot's of people on both sides don't realize a debate about social discourse is not a personal attack or automatically mean racism/sexism/ism, I get that some themes are more sensitive than others but guilt tripping and witch hunting is not a productive way to have a debate. Also you're never going to convince someone who actually has a prejudice against a group of people by shouting them down.

Despite being raised catholic and having feminine behaviour / appearances basically shoved down my throat I still do not feel the need to conform or pretend. If a man wants a visually hyper feminine woman, he's probably not for me because I wouldn't want to be with someone who doesn't like how I present in my day to day. But I can see how some people feel comfort in embodying male/female archetypes and gender norms-- same as religion, just don't force it upon others as the ultimate "be-all end-a…

There's men who will do criminal things when a woman rejects them. There's women who will throw a social media shit fit if they feel insulted by the approach. Both exist and both are a special breed of shitty person.

There are overall qualities that are well likes regardless of gender but if I have to pick things I appreciate about the men in my life (father, friends) there's: - Self actualization / creativity (projects, etc) - Good conversation (being able to discuss different topics together, coming away having learned or shared something new) - Good sense of community / some level of extroversion (generally caring about the people in their life, open to expanding their friend circle) - Great with kids/eld…

Studies suggest that children in households with unrelated adult males, such as stepfathers or a single mother’s new partner, may face an increased risk of sexual abuse.

Literally same vetting process + most of my female friends agree that they vet similarily.

just because most women are not visual like men that doesn't mean they never feel attraction I'd say women are more attracted how a certain man makes them feel with his behaviour, not his looks

Sorry to butt in like this but did your ex ever improve or learn to regulate? Probably not the best place to ask but I struggle with something similar (not currently but it has happened in the past)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 10:04 PM

Revenge towards who?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 11:01 AM

nah, he can be as pretty as an angel but that doesn't tell anyone about his behavior, personality, values, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 04:02 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
