You're making a bigger deal out of this than you need to. You're not proposing to her, you're not bringing her the carcass of her dead cat after you've run it over fifty times on "accident", you're asking her out. "Hey, do you want to get coffee after class?" It's that easy. It's a normal part of human interaction. The best way for you to combat your anxiety is to go do social things with people.

There's a difference between sexual desire and being horny. Masturbating gets rid of the short term sexual urges, which are generally the ones that influence you to make desperate/needy decisions in the moment. Using your metaphor: A starving wolf attacks a hunter out of desperation and gets shot. The wolf that feeds on smaller animals to stave off hunger has the faculties to stalk and hunt an elk. No fap can be scary for the addict, but the benefits are tremendous. I hope you're not trying to i…
/r/seduction15/08/16 07:13 PM

I find the opposite is true. When I can take care of those sexual urges by myself I become less needy when around women. Actually your post basically already says this: You get thirsty for a woman. You don't want to be the "thirsty" guy. Personally, I think NoFap is just self-flagellation.

You call her so she has your number. If it doesn't ring you know she gave you a fake number. It's not about calling someone out, it's about practicality.

I feel like just trying to hold her hand and seeing where that goes would be a good indicator for what the situation is. Yep. Physical escalation is a pretty clear sign of where things are at. You should definitely do this, just remember to work up to it. "Hey, I've had a great time hanging out with you for the last few days, after this trade show I want to continue hanging out" Do this too. Just try to be a little less robotic. "Hanging out has been fun. You want to grab lunch this Saturday?" I…

on a good occasion to do so. Let me highlight this with a story. There was a girl I was seeing, but at the time I wasn't too confident and so I never made a move when I should have. Eventually I got so upset with myself that I became determined to make that move. So instead of setting up another date and making the move when it naturally arose, I decided to surprise her as she was getting off work, rambling a bit about something or other, and then basically throwing myself at her. Needless to sa…

Sounds to me like you're coming on a bit too strong. compliment her a bit I wait until 3 hours before the date and tell her that in gonna be seeing her at 8pm at 'bar'. These two things make it seem like you're taking a casual first date way more seriously than she is, and so she flakes. sorry but I cant make it man. That "man" at the end is a pretty clear indicator that she thought you were being too serious. Unless that was some kind of inside joke between the two of you. I could be wrong, but…

That means you should do it. The things that make you nervous or scared, the things that get your heart pumping are the things you should be doing. They're the things that you're going to learn from, the things that are going to let you know you're still alive. When I got into seddit I made a rule for myself that whenever there was something I wanted to do that made me nervous or scared, I would have to do that thing. At first it sucked, because I felt like I was being thrown into the deep end. …

Psychologists now believe that emotions are contagious, and sexual desire is no exception. I've actually noticed this in my daily life. Can you provide a source? I'd love to know the science behind it.

Text her with some inside joke or reference to the last time you were with each other. Maybe some joke about one of the politicians or something. Then set up a date, and treat it like any other date. She's obviously interested in you, but how much is for you to determine by seeing her again.

ranging from harassment on the street to aggressive physical approaches Officers listened to a range of testimonials from women who had been harassed, abused and attacked If that describes your approach then you're doing something wrong. Bottom line is, if you're approaching people in a respectable way the vast majority of them aren't going to call the police, and the crazies that do won't have a leg to stand on because a proper approach isn't harassment.

Rejection feels bad because most people, myself included at times, feel that they need validation from others. If another person says "I don't want to invite you into my life." it's perceived as "You're not good enough to be invited to my life." People with low self esteem take that as an objective fact, rather than one person's opinion. This is why inner game is so important. If you can get to a place where you are confident in yourself regardless of the opinion of others (outcome independence)…

I got a number of a girl who suddenly became too busy to meet up for a drink. Should I continue to text her A rule of thumb that works for me: 2-3 flakes and then you next them. You can try again if you want, but don't be afraid to move on. If they flake and don't suggest another time to meet up (Ex. Sorry, I have to work Saturday. I'm free on Friday though.) then they're probably not interested.

Being cool: Being confident enough to "stand your ground" without being confrontational. Look up what it means to "hold your frame" for a better explanation. Being too "cool": Being so worried about appearing cool that you either end up appearing disinterested or you disregard her thoughts/feelings to such a degree that you become an asshole. The great thing is that if you're relaxed and genuine then you don't have to worry about it. Cool people are perceived that way because they're confident e…

Sometimes you have to buy into your own delusion, that's a lot of what confidence is about. Maybe you aren't traditionally gorgeous, but if you believe you are then that's the vibe you'll put out and others will believe it as well. Regardless, humans aren't super logical creatures that have stringent parameters. If we were, dating would be as easy as saying "Hello, let's procreate." and sex would last 30 seconds. There are many other more important factors than appearance when it comes to attrac…

Those are just things you feel out. If a joke lands then staying in character is best, if it's bombing then you want to move on. Tags are almost always a good idea. Comedy in casual settings should always be organic. If you want to do stand up go to a mic, don't do prepared material for random groups of girls.

Yes you can. It's a called a cold approach. "Hi, my name is Cmuffy. What's yours?" It's only boring, awkward, and fake if you make it that way. Look into day game and night game. Go to places where people like to hang out, join a club, take a class, try online dating. Again, you don't have to be a social butterfly, but you can't expect women to walk into your life without any effort.

Can someone explain the difference between vulnerable and needy? Needy = I need you to do X so that I can feel Y. (Ex. I need you to talk to me so I can feel accepted) Vulnerable = I feel X about Y. (Ex. Long silences with strangers make me feel uncomfortable) Next time you feel like you need to say something to keep the conversation going, don't. Let there be a silence, just enjoy the moment, enjoy being with the other person. If you feel anxious, take a deep breath and relax. Look at the scene…

Especially since your first response to OP was not constructive at all. The end goal is to be comfortable with yourself. To get rid of that nervousness and those insecurities. If you're completely lost when it comes to formatting, just start double tapping enter after a few sentences. Generally, you want to clump ideas together. I saw a cute girl, no-one around and knew I had to go for it, because nothing was stopping me now. Above all else, focus on this. You set a goal and you met it. It seems fairly straight forward to me. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question. A woman that isn't into you just isn't interested in a relationship with you. Obviously that would be a turn off. A woman playing hard to get is interested in you but is being playfully coy. To me that's a turn on.

Wow, just realized this happened to me last night. On the bright side, I suppose that means she wants me to give her more attention which is probably a good sign.

I think using alcohol to combat anxiety is detrimental. Real growth comes from acting in the face of anxiety, without using any "cheats". That confidence has been there all along, you didn't need alcohol to find it. That being said, I'm happy for you OP. If it works for you, I certainly can't criticize.

That's entirely up to you. You shouldn't "settle" for less than you want, especially if it means being unhappy. But realize that the narrower you set your parameters, the fewer people will fit into them. You might even consider re-calibrating your end goal. Instead of looking for a long term relationship, try having a few shorter relationships. Instead of immediately ejecting from a relationship because a person doesn't fit your preferences, see where it goes. You might find that your preference…

Or else go join a Mormon cult and get an arranged marriage to a 14 year old virgin. Seddit is an open and accepting community with a network of support. Unless you disagree with us, then you're probably a pedophile.

This works exponentially too. Pulling 100 women is the easiest thing ever. Honestly, the hardest thing is finding a good Shepherd to keep them all together. I've heard legends of men pulling thousands in a night, but the logistics behind that are just too much for me to handle. I mean do they use a flatbed to transport them? Or something nicer like a horse trailer?

Finding a passion isn't a bad idea. Women shouldn't dominate your life and having something to do other than worry about getting rejected is great way to fight that anxiety. Plus, if you do something interesting it's a great topic of conversation. Personally I recommend some form of martial arts. It's a great way to stay in shape, it's a huge confidence boost, and women find it attractive. Beyond that, simply numbers man. Approach one woman and get rejected -- ouch that hurts. Approach ten women…

You need to make your intentions clear. There are a multitude of threads on here that have good info on how to do that, read through them. You might also consider that she knows your intent and this is her way of politely declining. I'm not saying that's the case, but it's good to keep in mind especially if you find yourself obsessing over this one woman.

Is this the thread where we get to complain and feel superior for it? These threads do almost nothing in terms of changing a community. If you see something that upsets you call it out, if you see bad advice being posted then post your own "good" advice. Anything else is a waste of time.

In the mean time, find some solace knowing that it's totally normal and means you're headed in the right direction. Just wanted to reiterate this. Anxiety is a natural part of the process, trust that it will be fleeting and go forward with confidence.

neither replied when I texted them a few days later. Why are you waiting so long to contact them? They've just given a guy their number, they're excited about it. Talk to them while they're still excited, not days later after they've worried if you didn't like them, complained to their friends, and subsequently moved on. I feel like a failure at this point. I think this is your biggest problem. This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Have you been met with a lot of rejection? Yes Does that make you …

I don't let those thoughts enter my mind, or at the very least I don't entertain them. A confident man doesn't worry about being "cringey". That being said, I do pay attention to her reaction to the things I say. A lot of times this means subtle changes in body language and tone. Basically, if she looks bored it means I need to do something to keep her interest. Generally that means changing the topic of conversation or making her laugh.

But if she says no, then it's her saying she is okay with me being there and doesn't mind talking to me, which I think helps us both to be more comfortable That's a good point. Everyone walks their own path. You do you, fam.

Idk if I can do it again guys. You definitely can. You've done it once, that's not a fluke, it's the first step. Keep approaching, keep having conversations with strangers, it only gets better from here. As an aside: Do you want me to go? I don’t mind! I'm sure someone might disagree but I never like to offer an easy "out" like that. If they don't want to talk to you they'll make it very clear, or they'll just leave. You don't need to ask their permission to be there. Home made cooking is the be…

Would you mind going into more detail about what happened? Did you say something that just killed the conversation? Or was she disinterested from the beginning? How did you approach? How did you leave? (Please don't tell me you CK'd it. Haha.)

Use the search bar to look up "Approach Anxiety". It's normal. I used to have it really bad, then I just forced myself to approach a lot. Eventually you realize it's just an illusion, and approaching becomes a lot easier.

First off, don't be upset with yourself. You haven't failed until you've given up. Learn from your mistakes. Every time I see her she's reading a book. "Hey, what are you reading?" Converse, don't worry too much about what you say. Just go with the natural flow of the conversation. Ask questions, especially "What" questions. "What do you like about that book?" "What made you decide to go into nursing?" What questions dig deep, it makes them think, it makes the conversation more interesting, and …

Had to get up from my seat and walk around the whole auditorium. By this time the lecture had started and I just walked out of the lecture. This is okay. You should be approaching people, but not if it means interrupting someone else's lecture. Hoodie up. Music on. Grrr, annoyed at myself. This is not okay. That's not to say you should beat yourself up over it, just realize in the future there are better ways to handle yourself. Just because an approach didn't work out with one person, doesn't m…

I completed my goals for today, kind of. Didn't open on a stranger, but I opened (a warm open iirc?) on a few classmates. But they might as well have been strangers since we've never talked. Hit the gym, took a martial arts class. Had a lot of fun, I guess this is my new hobby. Aside from "pick up". A few observations: I've noticed that just by smiling more and making eye contact people are much more willing to converse with you, even if you don't initiate.
