Holy fuck, it's working... "Hi girly" "Hello" "What're you looking for" "Looking for new friends and you?" "Same" "So how long have you been here on dating site?" This chick's pics are way hotter than the usual ones that message back. I'll probably fuck it up at some point, but hey - one step at a time. Thanks for the guide, bro.

More like fourth date. Stood up once and 3 other dates. 2 of them with the chick in this FR. Thanks for the encouragement though - gonna keep at it!

Thank you, I almost did contact her this morning. Gonna focus on tonight's date instead.

We had joked a couple times about me being busy (it had been a week since the first date). She also made a comment asking about one of my coworkers. I had the phone on silent but it did vibrate a couple times and it was my wife. She may have seen that call coming in. I think her handing me the phone was more related to the jokes from earlier in the night and may have been more of a move to try and prove that she didn't care what I did - trying to be the one less invested. I think I hold all the …

I do feel like I suck at this. I kept having to remind myself yesterday that SHE contacted ME, not the other way around. I'm the motherfucking prize, not her. I don't think there were any obvious clues I was lacking confidence, but she very well may have picked up on some small thing I was doing subconsciously. Thanks for the tip on silence - that seems useful.

Hmmm...I think you might be right. I will work on building sexual tension. I have a feeling I'm gonna get another chance with this chick. I'm not gonna chase her though. I'll let her pursue me if she wants anything.

Don't really have the words to help except to say I can empathize with a lot of what you're saying. A lot of it resonates with me. Just want you to know you're going to make it. I think what others have said about going and doing the things YOU want to do is key. You'll find real friends that way and then the women will come.

Interesting perspective. In my case, I've already knocked out one of the things on my list.

For me it's been mostly about awareness. As I'm walking in the hall, how am I walking. When I'm sitting in a chair what do other people see? Right now I have to think about it a LOT but I'm more and more confident that the longer I do it the less I'll have to think about it. I guess my biggest trick is mental - it's kind of a thought process that says, "Damn it, standing up straight should be the easiest thing of all to do - I WILL do it."

Good read for me today - thanks OP. I read a little bit of sex god yesterday and, of course, it has a lot to say about dominance. I think what I like the best about the concept of dominance vs confidence is dominance seems a lot more actionable. In any situation I know what I need to do to take control. It's a lot less clear how I could simply be "confident" in any given situation. I actually tried out some of the dominance stuff this morning with my wife and it worked like a charm. Gonna apply …

I spent more than I wanted to on contacts. It was $540ish for a year's supply of dailies. I got a $70 rebate. I have astigmatism in both eyes so I have to get the toric lenses. Plus I'm not good about remembering to do things (like cleaning lenses daily) so the disposable lenses seemed like a better choice for me. If you get the 30-day lenses and don't need torics then I think you'll be looking at less money.

It's amazing, really, what a difference the small habits make. Amen to this! And it's not just the one small thing that changes - your mental attitude and health improves with each small change and the difference that makes is incalculable.

If I could offer some unsolicited advice - just start. It doesn't matter what you change, just pick one small thing and change it. Waiting doesn't help anything. All waiting does is get you 13 years into a miserable marriage hoping things will change.

For me, the chance of having sex with my wife was like the chance of being struck by lightning...twice. Porn and masturbation played a big role in that. When I was ready I went to porn and masturbation instead of to her. When she was ready my first thought was often, "Oh crap, I just masturbated earlier - hope I can have an orgasm." Then the mental thing would get the best of me and it would become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It was an unhealthy cycle that literally kept me away from sex for the…

Gratz, bro - love the changes! Count me in on the no more white-knighting train. It's interesting to me that your relationship with your father is changing.

This is incredibly inspiring to myself and others. Wow, bro. I have to say that is very humbling. Today when I went to the gym I have to admit I was practically terrified. The Stronglifts 5x5 starts you out lifting the empty bar and somehow that was making me extremely self-conscious. When I got up there someone was in the only power rack and I bailed, went out to the car, and had to work myself up to going back in again. But then, once I was in there and started I just kept telling myself "This…

I looked at marriedmansexlife.com and somehow a lot of what was posted there didn't seem to be right for me. I've found this subreddit to be more helpful. I'll check out theredpillroom.com - thanks for the links :)

Soooo...divorce is not a real option for me for religious reasons and also because of my kids. Good news is I don't think we're headed in that direction anyway (although there have been plenty of dark times in the past). I know you're right that the one who cares the least has the most power. So what does that mean for me? Can I have outcome independence when she knows I won't leave her? I think so, but I believe for me that entails her knowing that I won't spend the time with her that she wants…

Haha - thx man! Quite honestly I feel indebted to TRP. Can't believe the change I'm seeing in such a short amount of time. I realize now that I was literally afraid to speak my own mind. Now that I am taking the lead on everything I can tell that we BOTH feel happier.

I like the amuse mastery. I've tried it a bit with enough indicators of success that I think it will work well once I get better at it. I'm still struggling to suppress my blue-pill habits.

This is an area where I could use more guidance. I like to hear "I love you" and be touched, kissed or hugged. This does not seem to be something my wife cares about as much. When it comes to rewarding her my default methods of reward are the types of things I would like to receive. It's hard for me to know what is going to come off as a reward for her. I think it's things like taking care of some project around the house or listening to her talk, but I'm reluctant to engage in the "honey-do lis…

I like the advice to make her want me bad, but I don't feel like leaving RP books around would work. I feel like she would react by saying, "so that's what's been going on" and then would start trying to gain control again. Any other ideas?

I've seen "frame" mentioned a bunch and from context I gather it means the air or persona of "manliness" or bored disinterest you give off. I haven't been able to find any concrete reading material that really explains it. If you can point me in the right direction that would be helpful.

We have two kids, boy (11) and girl (7). I can already sense a difference in how I am relating to them. I'm excited to see my son getting more confident. I'm hoping my daughter will start to see positive changes in my wife. As for doing something nice, my wife can't wear her wedding ring anymore (it won't fit on her finger anymore bc of weight gain). Plus the ring was her mothers and her mom is a shrew.. I bought a new wedding ring for my wife today. Our anniversary is in two weeks. Not sure if …
