In my country people always split the check. But does it even matter. Drinks in a cheap cozy bar for a first date with a stranger. Then how many dates do most ppl even go on. The important part is how expenses are divided in everyday life.

You come across that bc you run into women who are red flags. Normal women split rent and expenses. Then some split the check and others don’t. But this is more about traditional vs progressive.

Thank you for making my day better. And your marriage sounds lovely. And yes, this is exactly it.

But most men who have experienced a long term relationship? Will also see it this way. Maybe their first girlfriend was just for sex. But then they got bored and claustrophobic. Realized it wasn’t enough.

It’s not the reality of normal people. Firstly: sex isn’t good enough to justify marriage. You aren’t gonna sacrifice your whole life for 5 minutes twice a week. Then in a serious relationship? Most of the time there isn’t a sexual or romantic subtext. 99% of the time youre not having sex. 5-6 days per week there will be no sex. Then many men can get laid if they really want to without getting into a relationship. With the prettiest girl? No. But you’ll find someone if that’s important to you. S…

That’s just not true. Most men do not marry a woman to get laid. Most men also do not dislike women as people. Talk to some couples. Talk to more men in real life. Notice how a lot of men actually like spending time just hanging out with their wife. If you don’t like the personality of women? That’s fair enough, but you’ll hate having a girlfriend. Skip a step, invest in a high quality fleshlight. And then instead focus on friendships with other men.

Firstly there’s assortative mating. Meaning people date similar people. Educated people tend to date each other. Same with people from different social classes. And when it comes to looks and social status. The typical couple has matching looks and matching social status. Do you have autism? Bc ofc divorce isn’t about facial attractiveness. Once two people are attracted enough to each other that they’ll date? What happens after is mostly due to: 1)The social skills and emotional intelligence of …

Most educated middleclass couples do not get divorced. Most women date within their own social class. Why would women date, marry and fuck a man they do not like if they can sustain themselves?

But most women are not in marriages where the man is flying them around and pampering them. Typical 2025 married couple? Both work full time just to pay the bills. What someone brings to the table is their personality. That’s why two people decide to marry. They like each other as people. Is this new to you? What do you expect her to offer while you both work?
/r/BlackPillScience17/09/25 08:52 PM

But someone who’s got low social skill and no social life isn’t the best partner in 2025. Edit: today women have jobs and incomes. What most want from their partner is social and emotional things. Men who can’t deliver on that get left behind.
/r/BlackPillScience17/09/25 06:00 PM

That’s not really it. Do you think most women today need a man to pay their bills? If you’re not getting your looksmatch? You either lack an active social life or social skills.

Well, trust me when I say that women who have rape fantasies? Zero interest in being raped. It’s more a fantasy of rough sex with a guy they have a sexual relationship with already.
/r/BlackPillScience10/05/25 02:25 PM

You do understand they don’t actually want to be raped? It’s a sexual fantasy. Same as guys watch a lot of things in porn they wouldn’t want to do in real life.

There’s no sides. Just different ppl with different opinions. I think it’s obvious nonverbal consent is a thing. The law in most places agrees with me. Given the average social skills of young ppl in 2025 tho? It’s not a dumb idea to outright ask as well. The issue is more that it’s not a magic wand. Someone can say “yeah” and they still do not actually want sex. So then we are back at having to read vibes and body language, and being able to identify enthusiastic consent. Which doesn’t even hav…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/01/25 12:03 PM

Also, consent can be verbal or nonverbal. I’m not sure they accounted for that. Which is going to mess up the stats. “Did you ask for consent?” implies using words. You do not always have to. Same as someone consenting doesn’t always mean they really want to have sex or you should proceed.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/01/25 11:31 AM

The thing is that if the guy initates sex? Asking him for consent seems a bit of a moot point. If he didn’t want sex he wouldn’t be trying to get you to have sex with him.

Well, it’s online dating. What do you expect? It’s mostly picture based. But most people meet in social settings irl and then a lot of more things factor in. Like how you connect with someone.

Do you think 200 likes or 8 likes on a YT comment is many likes? For comparison: the OP video got 4.4K likes. Do you think that was all men? Sane women don’t ramble around in the YT comment sections.

A big issue is that LGBTQ couples have just been studied less. So we have less data. Like the data linked her from Australia? Within the relationship, but counted psychological abuse together with physical abuse. Other studies have asked about abuse within a lifetime. A lot of women who are lesbians have previously been in relationships with men, before they came out. So then we can’t really know if they experienced violence from men or women. It might be women, it might be men, but we don’t kno…

Do we really? Like, there are incels. That’s not great. But it’s not going to take over completely bc men who have normal social lives don’t think like that. These women here? Similar. Socially isolated, mentally unstable people. Who cares?

But is that hypergamy or just the wage gap? What used to be normal here? She got her bachelor in nursing, he got his bachelor in engineering. Or she was a skilled nursing home aide, he was a mechanic. Or she was a hairdresser, he was a construction worker. Or she was a psychologist, he was a project manager. Most of the jobs men chose? We don’t really have data to prove this. We have data that shows more docile and obedient students (often girls) get shown a slight favoritism. What’s more likely? Students have 5 options after high school: 1) College. 2) Nonskilled job (ex: Walmart). 3) Trades. 4) Military. 5) Stay at home parent. Less girls will get married and have babies right out of high school. Nonskilled jobs will not be appealing to most bc low minimum wage. But given the cost of going to college? A lot of boys from poor…

No. I’m asking if the men who fall behind are more a victim of socioeconomic factors and lack of financial privilege than gender. If your dad has gone to a good college and has a career job? It’ll be way easier for you to do the same. That’s socioeconomic privilege.
/r/MensRights02/01/25 09:08 PM

Or they just need workers rights that align with pregnancy and breastfeeding. My country has those rights and then women don’t drop out of the work force. They stay for their whole career. And bc they know they can stay for their whole career? They don’t care if their husbands make way less.

But do you see they are a different kind of fairytale? It’s women are the evil witches. Men are the innocent hero you cheer for. If a relationship doesn’t work out? It’s all her. And it’s so black and white. Don’t you see? In reality men and women are humans. There are selfish humans, mean humans, manipulative humans, kind humans, selfless humans and kind humans. And even then people often have a mix of good and bad traits too. Don’t you see? This isn’t black and white, but it’s real.

On YT you often find people telling adults fairytales for money. It’s one way to get rich. Tell people things that give them someone to blame and a way to feel good about themselves. You fall in love again by cutting the toxic social media content.
/r/MensRights28/12/24 01:00 PM

Well. Social media is different. Why? Influencers are just trying to make money. That means they are happy to sell a story that people wanna hear. That’s why you’ve got “it’s all feminisms fault you are single” and “you deserve a model millionaire”. It’s not how people interact in real life. It doesn’t tell you about how female friends are with each other either, bc a female friend isn’t a grifter looking for a quick payout.
/r/MensRights27/12/24 09:11 AM

Women having kids in their thirties? Barely any health complications. Why? Well it increases the chance of very rare diseases slightly. It doesn’t matter. Most women are happier working. 75% end up getting married. I think that’s pretty good. The goal can’t be 100% bc not everyone is suited for marriage.
/r/MensRights26/12/24 08:18 PM

This is a misread of women’s social dynamics. Do you think the ugly friend or the hot friend has the most social power in that friendship? The hot friend wouldn’t accept the ugly friend scaring off guys she’s into. She does however want a body guard.

But only 10% of divorce ends with alimony. She can’t refuse to work. When women are stay at home mothers? It’s something a couple agrees on together. It’s a perk for him too, he gets way less cooking, cleaning and childcare duties. Instead he comes home to dinner done. And they don’t have to pay for daycare which is very expensive. Most women aren’t stay at home mothers. A lot of women don’t want to be. You date people who want a similar life to you.
/r/MensRights26/12/24 03:21 PM

Not really. Men who lose out big in family court? She was a stay at home wife. Or she makes significantly less and did significantly more of the childcare when they were married.
/r/MensRights26/12/24 02:26 PM

The legal system is genderless though. If I marry a man who makes less than me, it’s me who’s taking the financial risk. If my husband is a stay at home dad? I’m the one who might end up paying him alimony.

Still, very few women are uninterested in dating. Most want a relationship even if they have jobs and incomes, and even if they are feminist. What do you think they are looking for?

Again: why haven’t y’all send an inquiry and asked about business casual shorts? And idk. It’s mostly just different. In many ways the clothes women wear are just less comfortable. Is it privilege? I don’t think so. How much would your life even change if you were allowed to wear skirts at all?
/r/MensRights25/12/24 08:56 PM

A lot of people want to claim victim status. That’s the new 2024 trend. It’s dumb bc it’s really just losing power, making yourself more depressed and not winning anything. If women actually crossdress? As in present masculine with a chest binder, male coded clothing etc? That’ll get the same reactions as a man crossdressing. It’s 2024 though. In many settings you can just say you are trans or non-binary, and you’ll be completely fine. Even as a man. In more conservative business environments? T…

Every company is different. But if this bothers you so much, why don’t you just get your male coworkers to sign an email to HR asking for business casual shorts to be allowed? Here’s the thing: I don’t think it’s about the shorts. Is it? I think it’s one of three: 1) You want to feel discriminated against. 2) You want to cross dress. 3) You are envious of the sexual desire women’s bodies are met with.
/r/MensRights25/12/24 08:12 PM
-1

Huh? I find it’s often the opposite. Bc men’s legs and men’s bodies in general are perceived as less sexual and thus more appropriate. Most business settings women can’t wear shorts either. Or bare legs, they’ll have to wear stockings.
/r/MensRights25/12/24 07:59 PM

It’s shifting. I was Christmas shopping in jewelry stores, half the store is now jewelry for men. Pink and pastel colors, fluffy sweaters, short shorts, a lot of clothes that have been women only are now also fine for men to wear. Men wear eye makeup on special occasions, no worries. If you wanna wear skirts and dresses? That’s still going to be seen as cross dressing. But there are also a lot of social codes for how women can dress. Go out without shaving your legs or get a masculine haircut? Y…

Huh? Wut? Rich wife? Good. Her money is yours. Attractive wife? You own her pussy now. And if you’re clever maybe even her eyes too. Skilled wife? Free labor. On divorce, her own trade skills can be leveraged against her. Poor wife? Good, it will be cheap to overpower her. Ugly wife? She’ll never question a thing as long as he gets exactly 1 sexual encounter every 2 years or so. Smart wife? No such thing. Except a lot of smart, emotionally healthy people do get married.
/r/MensRights24/12/24 12:02 AM

If you didn’t have sex to make the kid? Yeah, you can be.
/r/MensRights23/12/24 08:40 PM

If you can prove you have been an equal primary caregiver all along? You have a strong position. If you mainly left raising the kids to her, less so. A lot of women getting a divorce, who have ex husbands who are good with the children, will want 50/50 custody. More time off, more time to date and have fun.
/r/MensRights23/12/24 02:28 PM
-19

This depends entirely on: 1) What’s your income compared to hers? 2) Do you have kids? A) Does she keep her job or do y’all decide that she should be a tradwife? B) Do you share childcare 50/50? It’s also about numbers. Marry someone who makes about the same as you, share childcare 50/50 and divorce isn’t likely to cost you anything. Had I married any of the guys I’ve dated? I wouldn’t have walked away a cent richer. I don’t want kids and they’ve all made about the same as me. We’d have just spl…

Most women still get married tho. They just try to avoid marrying a predator. Same applies to men. They should learn how to avoid abusive relationships and what to look for in a partner. Then wanting to be single is completely fair too.

But where does this happen?
/r/MensRights23/12/24 01:48 PM
-3

But do we need civilization to go on? Why? And does it matter if there are fewer people around? Then there are many things you can do to encourage the birth rate. Offer people payment for pregnancy and for raising babies. Encourage platonic friends to have babies together.
/r/MensRights23/12/24 12:36 PM
-17

But in reality the difference is much lower than that. So it usually works out. Then people want people they are similar to. That’s not necessarily about college education. A nurse and a plumber might have a lot in common. But a plumber and a woman with a PhD? She’ll bore him, he won’t get her. Often, not always.
/r/MensRights23/12/24 11:27 AM

And shouldn’t they be? A healthy marriage or relationship takes a lot of social skill. Raising children well is complicated. It’s not a good idea that everyone gets these things. Is it?
/r/MensRights23/12/24 11:25 AM
-7

Most people finance their education primarily through: 1) Tuition discounts from the institution (if they come from a less well off family). 2) Non gendered scholarships. 3) Part time jobs. Acceptance criteria isn’t lower for women. Stop coping.
/r/MensRights23/12/24 11:19 AM

But the majority is still getting married. Should everyone get married? No. That’s idiocracy. Not everyone wants marriage. And not everyone is marriageable. Divorce risk goes down when you marry later, so that’s actually smart.

But it’s still rare in school for girls to physically attack boys. Some girls fight other girls. Most don’t. Most boys are not struggling in school right now because they are being physically attacked by girls. Wasn’t your complaint that modern school doesn’t allow physical violence? Because yes, this is true. It doesn’t. Let’s get back to the manipulated man. When we skip ahead from “it’s all the mothers fault” and “it’s all the teacher’s fault” and get to the grownups. Boys defend themselves against girls? Are the girls physically attacking the boys? More boys than girls have ADHD. This is biological. Getting treatment for ADHD is a good thing. Kids with ADHD do better in school and in life with treatment. Boys are doing worse than girls in school right now. But many boys still do well. Then there’s questions of what we can do to help more boys perform better. But boys doing worse doesn’t mean they are discriminated against.

It’s not really a narrative. I tried watching porn. Was surprised at how violent a lot of mainstream porn is and how bad the sex looks. Wasn’t impressed. Then I was also concerned about the ethics of it. I don’t want to accidentally watch an Eastern European teenager getting raped, and I just felt worried at how young some of the girls looked. And how do you even know how it was produced? If you pay for porn you could probably source more ethical porn though. But I just gave up on the whole thin…

Which narrative? This is an issue with younger people. They’ve only seen porn, lack sex education and try to recreate porn when having sex. Which then doesn’t work great and often make the girls unhappy. And I have actually had a guy over to fix my washing machine. Surprisingly expensive, but that’s about it to report. Didn’t feel inclined to have sex with him, but did want clean laundry. Life is a bit more dull than the movies.

Normal sex? Firstly it’s a lot about consent. This is lost in porn. But if you choke a girl without asking in real life? She’ll be scared unless she knows you very well. Then a lot of sex acts are more everyday in porn, but not done by the majority of people. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong to do them. Only that you can’t expect every girl to be on board with it. Most girls don’t do anal for example. Or deep throat. Or have threesomes, or sex with the guy who comes by to fix her washing machine. Th…

Dude. What? Women don’t find pictures of vaginas especially offensive. It’s a body part, that’s all. The concern with porn is that the sex in porn isn’t necessarily ethically produced. Meaning you aren’t sure if there’s enthusiastic consent or just some drugged out teenager from poverty. The other concern with porn is that it’s affecting the sexual scripts of normal people. That when people have watched too much porn they might not realize how normal sex works. Edit: if it wasn’t for children an…

/r/MensRights21/12/24 06:23 PM
-16

Because most men are killed by other men. That’s not seen as gender related violence. When women are killed by men that’s seen as related to gender. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Well. Where you drafted and deployed? Or did you choose to join the military? How about your uncle? There hasn’t been a draft in 70-80 years. If men want to join the military they don’t get a free wife. A lot of women are in the military these days.

But do you think teachers raise children? That’s not the teachers jobs. That’s the parents.
/r/MensRights20/12/24 11:40 AM
-5

Well. Society is just about making it function overall. Not so much about individuals. Like how opening up after Covid was the right decision for the majority. But we knew it would kill some people too. If you want to not be disposable? You need to form connections with other people. Because to them you won’t be disposable. Finding good male friends, volunteering in your community, bonding with other people.
/r/MensRights20/12/24 10:23 AM

Two decades ago? Yeah. A lot of things has happened in the last decades. Marital rape used to be legal too. But that is still horrible and I don’t understand why the laws were that backwards. And this study was more recent than that and just asked about different types of sexual assault. By both men and women towards children.
/r/MensRights20/12/24 10:21 AM
-7

But everyone is disposable in society. Men and women. Is this shocking news?
/r/MensRights20/12/24 09:57 AM
-7

But so many men admitted to being victims in this anonymous survey. They had just been victims of men, which carries an even bigger stigma. When men and women on average act so differently sexually and have such different sexual opportunities, why do you expect them to match each other perfectly in rates of sexual assault?

This is just a claim from one researcher without good evidence. Then number of reported crimes for women have increased, but the article doesn’t compare it to the number of reported crimes for men. And then there are just random case stories. The Australian study? Huge. They asked lots of men and women anonymously if they had been sexually abused as children. Many people, both men and women, said yes. But mostly by men. A psychopath isn’t the same as a pedophile. And female psychopaths are still…

I’m sorry about that. I don’t think you’ll find that has ever been legal. This wasn’t about reported crimes, but an anonymous survey on childhood sexual abuse.

/r/MensRights20/12/24 08:52 AM

This woman is disgusting and vile. But the reason it’s such a big news story? The perpetrators of sexual assault on minors are usually men. When it’s a woman it’s seen as more interesting news. There was a big Australian study that looked at people’s experiences with sexual abuse in their childhoods. Findings: 1) A much higher percentage of the population had experienced this than we’d expect. 2) It affects many boys, not just girls. 3) But the perpetrator is usually a man. Rarely a woman.

Wut? My buddy you are never free to cheat. If I think my husband sucks in bed? I can’t just start banging my personal trainer. I need to either get a divorce or accept a sexless life. You shouldn’t stay in a bad marriage. And…how did you get there? My point is the exact opposite. That sex should be a fun mutual activity, not something you just expect to “get” as a service.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 02:38 PM
-1

Did it hurt? And you need better sexual boundaries. It’s ok to say no to sex when you are not in the mood for sex. That’s the whole point here. Then I don’t mean to offend you, but this isn’t a common issue for men. I’m wondering if you had some kind of sexual problem, if you weren’t attracted to her or if you had death grip/porn issues. Or if you were on antidepressants. But it could be the same thing as I’m talking about here for women. That emotional problems in the relationship and unwanted …
/r/MensRights19/12/24 02:34 PM
0

Huh? Modern marriage: 1) Both people work full time. 2) Both people share chores (cooking, cleaning, childcare) 50/50. 3) You fuck when both people want to. If you have a healthy relationship, good social skills and a wife with a normal sex drive? She’ll want to have sex bc that’s also fun for her. What is one sided here?
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:51 PM
-2

Well. They should get divorced if their husband is like that. And ofc they shouldn’t fuck him if they stay together for the kids or whatever. Buy a sex toy, get separate bed rooms.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:45 PM
-2

Let’s cut to the chase. You were not in the mood. So it was uncomfortable/painful for you, you never got turned on and then ofc you didn’t orgasm. RIGHT? I mean, you were wincing a little and counting the minutes till it was over? Or we are talking two extremely different things here. You don’t get sex in return for chores. It’s called pulling your weight. Or doing your half. If you don’t however? Your wife might feel she’s in a relationship with a baby and that might turn her off.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:40 PM
-5

But sex isn’t owed. Do you get that? It’s meant to be about mutual desire. Then people should have a lower threshold to break up. That’s true for both genders. If your boyfriend can’t be bothered to try to make sex good for you? Eh, just dump him.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:23 PM
-4

You can just get divorced if you’re not happy with your sex life. You can’t cheat though. Or expect your wife to let you fuck her when she’s not turned on. Why does any of these seem even remotely reasonable to you? Do you think unwanted sex is even sexy? Wouldn’t you feel a bit like you were raping her? Is that even love?
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:21 PM
-3

But…do you?
/r/MensRights19/12/24 12:20 PM
-17

Well, it’s true. If you just look for a bangmaid and think your wife should work harder than you and then let you stick it in whenever? Please don’t get married. It’ll always end in a bitter divorce.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:38 AM
-5

You didn’t understand that point. Sex isn’t meant to be something women hate (but give anyways) and that men get (without it being good for her). It’s meant to be a mutually fun thing a couple does together when they are both in the mood. Do you understand the difference?
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:37 AM
-5

But having an open and mature conversation? Not nagging. Nagging is if he keeps groping her or repeatedly asking for sex when clearly she’s not feeling it. Then you need to have an adult conversation instead. Then it’s not “women control sex”. Some women are in dead bedrooms too. It’s that sex is two for yes, one for no. You need both people to be horny and want sex with each other. A lot of men mistakenly think a good wife should let him fuck her even when she’s not turned on. And that’s just… …
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:35 AM
-1

Well. If that’s the case: wtf is he doing? You get a divorce then. Or if it’s just about not bothering to please her in bed? Jerk off and live as roommates if you can’t be bothered to get a divorce either.
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:30 AM
-20

It’s so relevant. These are the main reasons people end up in dead bedrooms. I know a lot about sex and I like men. It’s a good idea to listen. I think people just get upset bc they want sex to be something women give in exchange for marriage. Desire doesn’t work that way and being an adult is just a bit more complicated than that. What can you do?
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:11 AM
-24

I’ve been in long relationships. The sex has stayed good bc the relationship was good. I’ve also read a lot of dead bedroom posts. It’s usually one of the following: 1) He sucks at flirting and in bed. Brief kissing, grabs her tit, maybe awkwardly fumbles a bit between her legs. 5 minutes in total of “foreplay” that doesn’t do it for her. Then sticks it in, thrusts a bit and goes to sleep. Doesn’t understand that sex is meant to be good for her too. Thinks a wife is just something you cum in lik…
/r/MensRights19/12/24 11:03 AM

So… this will just depend on who you marry. And your skills at flirting, sex and emotional intelligence in general. You should look for a partner who’s got a similar sex drive as you outside of the honeymoon phase. If you marry someone with a much lower sex drive than you? You won’t have a lot of sex. Then begging and nagging for sex turns women hard off. The “hat in hand” is an Ick. Instead you should respect your wife’s boundaries. Maintain a relationship where you two are emotionally close. U…

I didn’t read it well enough. But if he wants to be useful: why not volunteer somewhere? Men who mansplain are not in fact useful, that’s the point. They explain things to women that women already know. Yes, you have to check to see what the new hire knows. But you don’t retrain them from the ground up if that’s not necessary.
/r/MensRights18/12/24 09:21 PM
2

Any new hire should obviously not be trained as they know nothing. That’s inefficient. You assess what they know. Then you train to fill in the gaps if there are gaps. Isn’t OPs post thinking mansplaining means men who express something negative?
/r/MensRights18/12/24 08:53 PM

I don’t like to give out so much personal information on Reddit. But it’s very specialized. And they come to get help with “highly specialized thing”. And then they try to explain to me how to do “highly specialized thing”. It’s a mix tho. Sometimes it’s benign. Just trying to impress me, which is socially clumsy but not sexist. Sometimes they just assume they are smarter than me and get my job better than I do. They don’t.

A lot of my male clients try to explain my job to me. Even if they are doing something for the first time that I do professionally. And even if they’ve booked an appointment to get help from me. However, it’s not always malicious. They are just trying to seem smart and impress me. But sometimes it’s just thinking they are smarter. It’s a bit exhausting tho.

But why do you expect a 1:1 relationship in rates? That’s not true for other crimes. And then it’s also not true for men’s and women’s sexual behavior and inclinations overall.
/r/MensRights18/12/24 03:09 PM
-5

Good idea. Btw mansplaining means explaining something bc you think women are dumb. Like your company hires a new computer engineer. She’s a woman. Bob from accounting tries to explain computers to her. Men are also allowed to have mental health issues. You just misunderstood the word.

/r/MensRights17/12/24 07:34 PM

Fair enough, we need a lot of these jobs. Just like we need nurses, teachers, cleaners and grocery store workers. But what appreciation do you want exactly? Better working conditions and higher pay? That’s what unions are for. Better appreciation by the public? Do you find when working as a plumber or an electrician that the clients aren’t nice or grateful? I’d imagine most people are grateful and polite. Then some aren’t, bc some people suck.
/r/MensRights17/12/24 07:19 PM

But you do understand that the payment for a job is money and not a wife, right? You can quit an infrastructure job if you like. A lot of them are going to be automatized or outsourced anyways. If all men do that? There will be some chaos and scramble till we’ve trained women to take those jobs. But that’s all. Women aren’t going to fuck guys to get them back into infrastructure jobs. Do you think they will? Edit: everyone is useful in society. And we should appreciate everyone for the job they …

I’m wondering here: why do you expect the rates to be equal? If we think of motive: Overall men and women’s sexual behavior is different on average. Why do you expect it to line up perfectly in this case? Then if we think of opportunity? If I violate a man’s consent? It’s easy for him to just lift me off him and walk out. Flip the script and I can’t do that. When you are so drunk that you can’t defend yourself any longer? Well, many men can’t get an erection either. So motives are different, opp…

Back in the day? MeToo was a FaceBook hashtag. It wasn’t about accusing anyone. Women just posted “me too” on their social media if they had experienced sexual harassment. And as an awareness campaign? It was really powerful bc you could suddenly see how many women around you had been affected by sexual harassment. Google child sexual abuse. It’s mostly men. Then my take? A lot of people misunderstood the question. This is why: 1) 1 in 4 women report being raped. The number seems too high for me, but it would make sense if people counted “drunk sex”. 2) The numbers for 12 months vs lifetime are so unbalanced for men. You’ll remember a drunk hookup three months ago, you won’t necessarily think about it years later. To me it makes sense that the study is overestimating sexual assault. Which it has also been …

Well, the studies from NISVS 2010-12 that I quoted showed the statistic as 1 in 5 but the study you quoted is from NISVS 2016/17. Regardless since there are no reliable lifetime stats for men, so there is no point in comparing them to women’s lifetime stats. Hysterical women? Here’s some logic for you: adjust your expectations and you might feel less angry. 1) Not every date will end with sex. Most dates from dating apps? No spark. Hence why it might be better to meet women socially in real life. But no matter what? Not every date will end in sex. 2) Two people have sex when they both feel horny and are mutually attracted to each other. 3) This is also true for relationships. Good for you, I guess. But most progressive women refuse to date conservative men. And it usually works out fine. Why? Well, being progressive is pretty normal among educated, attractive men in 2024. A lot of the men women find attractive are also feminists. It’s not a truth if it’s just true for some men. Or, it’s true for them. But not for everyone. You missed my point about sex entirely. Probably. But intelligent people have information literacy. You can want sex. If nobody else wants sex with you? You won’t get sex. You can feel whatever you want. But it’s not logical to be angry, bc you weren’t owed sex to begin with. It’s not unfair you don’t get sex, if nobody wants to sleep with you. This is just how sex works.

Do you live in a little village? I mean since a woman who’s had casual sex will have had sex with your family? In big cities people who’ve had hookups have not had hookups with anyone you know. When you do not ask, nobody is lying either. Then if you are socially intelligent, you can hide things if you want. But if you are an open person, you can tell men you’ve had hookups if you want. It’s not normal for women to only be interested in a man’s money. Are you guys ever social in the real world? Then everyone should learn to be classy about sex and dating. Have your preferences and keep them to yourself. Date the people you like and reject the people you aren’t into. Done. People who feel the need to loudly voice their preferences? For both genders that’s usually people who are not doing well in dating.
/r/MensRights15/12/24 03:08 PM

Huh? But I just don’t get this whole thing where people are angry about this meme. 1) It’s a joke. 2) Even if you are too socially oblivious to understand it’s a joke: can you be angry if some girl only wants to date hot, successful men? That’s her choice. It would only be logical to be angry about it if you feel women owe you sex.
/r/MensRights15/12/24 03:06 PM

But do you notice how you only see this on dating apps and social media? Most classy women are not voicing their dating preferences on social media. I think…. overall people need to stop voicing their dating preferences. It’s not classy or necessary. Reject the people you aren’t into. Date or sleep with the people you are into. The end. And this is also what most normal people in real life do. The internet gives people a distorted view of reality. Unattractive women will usually struggle in dating. Unless they are willing to date equally unattractive men. Which is what they usually do. Most couples match in looks. Body count? Eh. That one is…

But isn’t there a lot of truth to it still? Everyone is insecure. It’s not a big deal. Insecurity can however block you from making social connections. If it makes you too awkward, self absorbed or quiet in social settings. Then that’s something you might need to work on.

Suicide rates are higher in men. This is true. However 80% of men definitely do not die by suicide. What you are describing about feeling disposable sounds like feeling lonely and lacking a social network. That’s hard, but it’s also fixable. Start doing activities where you can find friends. At first just look for male friends. Then expand. Go to therapy too.
/r/MensRights12/12/24 07:44 AM

Were you ever in a relationship with her? Did she sleep with you? If you are just friends with a girl, that’s platonic.
/r/MensRights12/12/24 07:41 AM

But society doesn’t think all men are evil and will rape you either? Women are just careful around men they don’t know bc a rapist won’t wear a t-shirt saying “Hi, I’m Bob the rapist”. That doesn’t mean most women don’t trust and love many men.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 06:10 PM

Think about it logically: most men do not care. They prefer to have some pretty girls in yoga pants around when they work out. A lot of girls also do not care. Some girls care bc they’ve been hit on too much at the gym or they feel uncomfortable when they notice men noticing their ass. For evidence: more women’s only gyms have been successful. That’s actually pretty solid evidence. Do you want recommendations for where you can hang out with only men? Bc I’ve got lots.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 06:01 PM

Yeah. Fair enough. There’s a bigger marked for women’s only gyms. Doesn’t mean it’s big enough. Most people dgaf.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 03:33 PM

But you know it was the Boy Scouts who choose to open to girls. Why? Money. Going bankrupt settling sexual abuse allegations. What did the Girl Scouts do? Sue for trademark violation. I could name 10 hobbies off the top of my head where you could go guaranteed to only meet other men.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 03:32 PM
-8

Well, they opened men’s only gyms and this is what happened them too. Maybe a lot of people dgaf?
/r/MensRights11/12/24 03:09 PM
-23

But men’s only gyms have been opened. There just isn’t the same marked for it. Maybe there would be if you relaunched it in 2024? But women go to women’s only gyms to avoid men looking at them in a sexual way. Men don’t have the same issue working out and many men like to see pretty girls in yoga pants.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 03:09 PM
15

That can vary. Different women have different sex drives. Then it’ll depend on how good your relationship is and how good the sex is if she wants to have sex with you. But yeah. Don’t get married for sex. Get married if you want to spend your life with a woman.
/r/MensRights11/12/24 03:05 PM
1

But are they? My experience is that many men are less willing to be vulnerable with other men than they are to be willing to be vulnerable with women. Maybe that’s exceptions? But idk. It seems a pretty common sentiment and why single men feel so lonely. Then vulnerability is called being vulnerable. Bc it’s a risk for anyone, anytime.
/r/MensRights10/12/24 08:12 PM

But is the solution then for men to get more involved here?
/r/MensRights10/12/24 02:51 PM

Girl friend isn’t a lesbian. It’s a platonic friend. Then who cares if they want to date women and those relationships are more toxic? Men are still safe from these women. Women who hate men do not have sex with men. And in 2024? They likely won’t have kids either. Level up? I haven’t heard that one. But I assume it means that person feels there are a lot of men, but not a lot of high quality guys. Not a huge treat to men either, she’ll just reject them.

Depends if she’s there or not. And if the father is actually taking care of his own child or not. You know most fathers today do a lot of childcare for children 0-3, right? This is a good thing.

Wouldn’t that depend entirely on which relationship you have with your parents? If your father was your main caregiver, that would be the main attachment. But I wasn’t really talking about attachment issue. More that girls who are sexually abused by their fathers can grow up with an antipathy towards men.

From a peak cynical perspective? There are women who hate men and men who hate women. Both are usually caused by abusive parents of the opposite gender. And then either no dating success or abusive relationships. Upsides with the women who hate men? Smaller than men, so less of a physical threat. And they just swear off men. They go “I never want to have sex with or date a man again”. And then they get cats and girlfriends and live sort of a parallel life. People often feel more troubled with th…

But answer my question: how many percent of men do you think feel they can cry and be fully open about fears, insecurities and sadness with their male friends? Bc my take? Men are very focused on this bc a lot of them see women as the only possible emotional outlet. Hence why also they struggle more with being single than women. They want to be vulnerable with women and not men. And this is a part of the issue in many different ways.

I agree it’s a bit presumptuous. But it’s not just my lived experience. It’s how many mature healthy relationships are. Look at r/AskMen when this question comes up. A lot of men will mention how they have an emotionally vulnerable relationship with their wife. I think it’s more a mix of other things. 1) A lot of men and women are selfish and unempathetic. Date someone like this and they won’t be safe to be vulnerable with. They either will respond negatively bc they dislike having to put in eff…

Women feel empathic and often sexually attracted to men when they show vulnerability. But this has some prerequisites: 1) Being in a close friendship or romantic relationship with that person. A lot of men expect empathy from strangers. 2) Sharing in the right way. A lot of men are not used to emotional vulnerability. When they share? It’s often in big, uncontrolled explosions without having built a mutual sharing relationship over time. 3) Being vulnerable is always a risk. That’s why you start…

But… Isn’t the societal issue described here…mostly how men treat men? In most families the mother is comforting. The father is the one who pushes for the boy to “toughen up”. And then men could have emotionally vulnerable friendships with each other if they wanted to. Male culture is what prevents this, though many men have broken free of this and have found new and modern friendships. Then most young men are single these days, so clearly their social issues isn’t that tied to women. And health…

These people you need to break up with. A clumsy partner? Will say the wrong thing. 2) If you open up about untreated mental health issues (see another comment in this thread, https://www.reddit.c…

Well, idk. Most men I’ve dated or have been close friends with? They’ve been vulnerable with me. It’s not a rare thing at all in adult relationships. Then sharing vulnerability is also how people bond and fall deeply in love. You can’t love someone hiding behind a mask or an emotionless rock. They’ll seem dull to you and you don’t really know them.
/r/MensRights09/12/24 10:53 AM

But the question is: who’s ready for this? Most adult men would also be alarmed if their girlfriend acted this way. I’ve never been in a relationship where a guy would be fine with me acting like this. “Incoherent anger at everything and anything”? That’s for example not something most women or men will accept in a relationship. The whole thing is a description of someone with mental health issues they need to get treated.

Mostly, you vastly underestimate how limited the supply is in this world. Really want to get knocked up? You can find a man on Tinder who’ll have unprotected sex. Takes less than ten minutes. Nobody forgets actual abuse. Why? It’s traumatic and memorable. The idea of “repressed memories” has been proven false. What is forgettable? Drunken hookup. What is illegal: having sex with someone too drunk to consent. What is not illegal? Two people drinking at a party and then having sex. If they were both still capable of consenting. For most men? But the cry porn on social media? It’s made to market. Some men love to watch this for sexual/revenge reasons. Some women get this and make cry porn. It’s a genre. Single women are just as happy or happier than married women according to science. It’s the single men who struggle.

Well, single women are loving their careers. And most women? Not single, they end up married with children. Most men too. But most men rarely get into fights as adults? And women basically never fight each other. Then most relationships? Also include no fights. Physical violence has no place in a relationship, if the person being violent is male or female. It’s abusive. But both doesn’t make sense? 1) I think men and women aren’t that far apart in a fight. Who know who’ll win? It can be used for emotional manipulation, sure. But it can also be used to be kind to others, to be a good partner and to be good in bed. Many men are also emotionally intelligent. Thinking that not being able to understand other people is a win is a weird take.

Yes. And if you have a medical incontinence issue, your therapist will understand. You shouldn’t have to pay or need to offer to pay. At least as long as you are taking the same precautions as people with periods: wearing diapers. If you have IBS with uncontrollable diarrhea and you go out in public not wearing diapers? People will have an issue with that.
/r/MensRights23/11/24 09:41 AM
2

Have you ever been to therapy? Because it’s often very emotionally intense and you won’t be paying so much attention to anything else. And good for your wife. But all it takes her is a gush of blood not caught by the pad/tampon as she was getting up. Given that you have a wife: do you at least realize it’s different from peeing?
/r/MensRights23/11/24 07:47 AM

Not really, because it’s not that common. It can happen, it won’t happen often enough that you’ll need plastic couch covers.
/r/MensRights23/11/24 07:40 AM
3

Make you in tune with the universe? What kind of woo woowoo bs is that? Accidents happens for two reasons: 1) Most commonly you suddenly bleed intensely much and you’ll bleed through your pad/tampon. 2) Sometimes you’ll start your period entirely unexpected.
/r/MensRights23/11/24 07:37 AM
-8

Ofc it’s not the same logic. Unless the person is incontinent and has to wear diapers bc pee is just leaking out? Do you think the client wasn’t wearing a pad or a tampon? Of course they were. But sometimes women will bleed through their pad/tampons anyways. It’s not a perfect solution. Do you sometimes accidentally pee on furniture? Because otherwise you can’t really compare. You can’t hold in a period the way you hold in pee. Did you not know?
/r/MensRights22/11/24 11:17 PM
-13

But you do understand that it’s not the same as peeing? Right?? Or are you incontinent? Do you sometimes sit on the couch, get up and realize “oh no, I peed myself again”? You can’t hold in a period. You can get one unexpectedly. You can bleed through tampons/pads unexpectedly. It’s not like she whipped out her dick and pissed on the couch on purpose.

Approach women in social settings. In general approaching women outside of a social setting (street, subway, gym, store) will not go too well. If you want to date a girl? You can have a casual talking stage, but then ask her out. Don’t turn it into a full on friendship. She might not be into you at all, you’ll waste your time and get hurt. And then you are invited to social stuff where there is women. If there are hardly any people your age where you live? Consider moving.

But is anyone justifying police brutality against men? Police shootings towards men? Inflating police budgets? Increased police presence in areas with many men? No? They are just saying they’d rather be in the woods where there was a bear over a man. Usually because they have never been harmed by bears, but they’ve been harmed by men. So it’ll be easier to sleep knowing the bear is out there. That’s a feeling people are allowed to have. Edit: a better example is “who would you share a bed with?”…

Humans aren’t a bear’s natural prey. The bear just want to be left alone. People live in woods were there are bears all their life and they are still fine. But this isn’t a logic puzzle. It’s really about how women are so scared of strange men that they’ll feel better knowing a bear is out there than a man. And that’s a societal problem. Caused by the frequency of sexual harassment and assault. When women answer this question, they remember times men have scared or hurt them. That’s what it’s ab…

It’s subjective in the way where it relies on sexual chemistry between two people. Someone can be attractive without you feeling any sort of sexual chemistry. Or they can be ordinary looking, yet your desire for them is fire. Then just look at couples on the street. Most of them are two sorta unattractive people in love to put it bluntly.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2767066 HIV also transmits in other ways than sex. Gonorhea is a niche STD. Look at how few catch it compared to the others. Different STDs transmit differently. No, women aged 18-24. 20% didn’t have sex last year, 60% only had sex with one guy. 80% in sum either had sex with one guy (most cases will that be boyfriend) or no one. HIV is obviously higher in males because gay sex is a much bigger risk factor than straight sex. Higher risk of transmission. Then gonorreah isn’t more common in women than men because women sleep around more. It’s just that women get it more easily. In fact studies on male vs female sex partners over a year? Little variation. There are a bit more men not having sex at all. But not a huge difference. Then most women are either having sex with their boyfriend or not at all.

A gonorrhea infection is caused by Neisseria gonorrhea bacteria. It can be sexually transmitted by vaginal, oral, or anal means. After just one episode of sex with an infected partner, a female has a 60% to 90% chance of being infected by a male, while a male’s risk of being infected by a female is only 20%. https://stdcenterny.com/articles/std-risk-with-one-time-heterosexual-encounter.html That’ll explain it.

Overall women more easily catch STDs than men. Meaning is she’s got an STD he’s less likely to catch it than if he’s got an STD. Then women are also more likely to see an OBGYN regularly where they’ll get STD testing as a part of the checkup. Also: female sex workers will be at high risk for catching STDs.

That’s not how that works. Most women aren’t having hookups. They either just never or they try it a few times, realize it’s bad sex for women and kinda boring, and nope out. Some women are having lots of hookups. But they are a small minority all the guys compete for. Hence only a small minority of guys get a lot of hookups. 80% of girls aged 18-24 had sex with either 0 or 1 guy last year. Most of them were just sleeping with their boyfriend.

But my first point is really: the pool doesn’t shrink at 30. If you are a pretty girl at 25, you’ll still be beautiful at 30. People get older, but it happens later. The second is how it’s genderless. The third is that a smaller dating pool doesn’t mean you won’t get a great partner. People get into relationships not based on an Excel spreadsheet, but based on who they click with and have sexual chemistry with. Two things can be true at once. 1) Both men and women get older. When you get older you’ll look a bit older. And also most people date people their own age. As you get older, fewer of the people your age will be single. These things can make dating harder both for men and women in their forties and fifties. There are just less single people to choose from and you also just have to get onboard with the fact that your options have aged physically. Still people can fall in love at any age. 2) The i…

Dude. What? Getting old is a privilege. Sex isn’t everything there is to life. Why not enjoy life when you have it? And people can find love at any age. I didn’t mean to imply they can’t. Edit: not everyone is off the marked at 35. It’s constantly changing. Some women haven’t met the right guy yet or they’ve been too busy with career or family. The reality is that men and women both gradually get older. It’s just not instant and it’s not at 30 on the dot. It’s more as you push 40. Hyposexual represents a huge challenge in finding a long term compatible partner. At least for women. Why? Because most men will want a relationship with a healthy, frequent sex life. If you look at the studies done on couples, the average couple struggles with his libido being higher than hers. And you can’t have sex unless you desire it. You just feel closer to them emotionally, which leads to feeling more in love, which leads to wanting sex. Also, you’ll want to comfort them. People are different though, but I’m pretty basic and this is a pretty straightforward chain of events. Emotional intimacy leads to a deeper connection and stronger romantic attachment.

I think you just lost your friends because you expected to get sex in return for friendship and in reality you get friendship in return for friendship. Then you can’t get mad that they don’t want to continue the friendship now. And apology is to own up to a mistake and take responsibility. Hopefully it can help the person you hurt. An apology doesn’t mean you’ll get the relationship back. Often you don’t.

From Wikipedia about MRA: Many scholars describe the movement or parts of it as a backlash against feminism.[2] As part of the manosphere, the movement, and sectors of the movement, have been described by scholars and commentators as misogynistic,[3][4][5] hateful,[6][5][7] and, in some cases, as advocating violence against women.[5][8][9] In 2018, the Southern Poverty Law Center categorized some men's rights groups as being part of a hate ideology under the umbrella of male supremacy while stat…

Because MRA is a lot about being against women’s rights, not just being for men’s rights. A lot of the content is pretty misogynistic. They talk about the homeless men etc, but that’s just an issue they push in front of their real agenda. They haven’t got much interest in opening homeless shelters. Most of them just want to yell at women or have a reason to see themselves as victims. If you create a men’s rights association that’s actively working on actual men’s issues, nobody will have an issu…

Dude, why do you expect feminists to do something about the draft? In a foreign country they don’t live in even? It’s like if I work in an organization that’s focused on old people’s rights. Then if you have an issue with some children’s rights issue, that’s not going to be something my organization is working on. The feminist movement is focused on women’s issues. If you want something done for men’s issues, go to an organization that works on men’s issues. Or start one. And mainstream feminism…

«Women and children first» isn’t a real thing. When it was, it was just about logistics. The smaller women would be trampled by the bigger men in event of panic and then their bodies would clog the escape routes. So if you get the women off first, there’s less clogging and everyone has a better chance at getting out alive. But it’s not a thing anymore. Most feminists are either against the draft or want a gender neutral one. Most Western countries haven’t been to war in 80 years though, so much …

But it doesn’t matter if you are gay or not. When you sell sex, what you are selling is sex without being attracted to the other person. That’s why it costs money. Otherwise it would be free. Try Tinder as a man and a woman, or go to any party. Women have sexual desire. And people are different, so some women will be into hookups. However what we do know from science? Women on average have a lot lower desire for sex with strangers than men do. You can have a sex drive without having any interest in sex with a stranger. No. Like the other poster sorta said, people confuse sex with not being lonely. People need people. So if you don't have friends or do much social stuff in your everyday life, you'll feel depressed. That's a big reason many of the sexless men feel awful. They don't have sex, but they are also very lonely in general and that's their big issue. Then having a good relationship can be good for your self-esteem and make you feel loved and supported. But that's not about sex either. Sex just by itself…

Instead of being jealous, why don't you ask her for some dating tips? And then also just remember "comparison is the thief of joy". It's an old saying, but it never stops being true. Edit: I'm not queer, but I'd also consider that LGBTQ dating might be different from straight dating. That is something you could talk to your friend about. I've read that 39% study. They asked people "where did you meet your latest romantic interest?". That can just be a girl you texted and hoped to go on a date with, who ghosted you. When the PEW report on online dating in 2023 ask couples "where did you meet your partner?" only 9% said dating apps. I think a simple solution for this is to just buy some condoms and practice using them. The hard part of sex is making women orgasm. You usually don't do that by the actual sex anyways, it's more like what you've already done. So I wouldn't worry too much. If it makes you feel better, just buy a sex toy and you can practice.

What I think: To be fair to you, people are allowed to not date anyone for any reason. That includes partner count. It's just weird to have casual sex, but judge the people who also have casual sex. Well, bc that's my secret plan ofc /s I just think it's insanity. Like putting a tracker on your boyfriend's phone. You either trust your partner or you should break up instead. If you think they'd actually do this. You realize people who cheat use birth control, right?
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 05:43 PM
1

In my view you aren't rational, bc you don't understand the way relationships work. Did you get that it's way, way lower than 1% for adults in healthy marriages? Do you understand this doesn't happen randomly? I could pick that one couple out of a hundred. You could too.
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 05:42 PM
1

But that's when you have one baby and the hospital misplaces that baby. 15-20% of men cheat. Doesn't stop me from wanting a boyfriend, bc I trust my judgement to be able to pick one who won't. Same thing. I won't put a tracker on his phone, I'll find one worth trusting.
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 05:40 PM
1

3% or 1% doesn't matter. You can divide that number by a large number for adults in healthy relationships. Most of those children are the children of teenagers having hookups and not in committed relationships. And if that's the situation, you should get a test. And you know when your partner doesn't trust you. And then you'll leave, bc it doesn't work.
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 05:38 PM
1

1% of all babies, way lower for married couples is very rare. And it could determine your life either way. Push your wife to get a test, baby is yours, she leaves you.
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 05:31 PM
1

Option to have a stay at home wife who loves you? Sure. But it's very rare to find someone both traditional enough to want to be a stay at home wife and unconventional enough to accept you sleeping with other people, while loving you. And in general it's just rare to find someone accepting of a one-sided open relationship that does love you. Completely open relationship is easier, bc you can get that with two poly people..
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 03:55 PM
1

Do you have an open relationship just for him?
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 02:17 PM

That's logical. The only reason you might need a test is if you're unsure if they might have cheated or not.
/r/ExRedPill07/03/23 02:15 PM
1

Have you ever been in a long term relationship? You don't make your partner constantly show proof they aren't cheating, you don't police them. You just either trust them or you end it.

Oh no, I hate that vibe. That's what I meant with why it's a good question. If people answer like this, I know they aren't for me. If it's all about money/status/superficial stuff. I'm kinda old, but I went to a school like this once too and I know what it's like. But some of them are just very young and don't get relationships yet. I don't interview people to be my husband, I'm not on the hunt for one. I like to ask people this in general, both men and women because I find love fascinating. Not primarily as a date question, more as a "people in general" question. It can teach you something about what people look for and what's important to them. I've asked people I've dated this though, bc when they describe you then you know they like you a bit. And if that's not you at all, you might not be very compatible. Idk, overall …

When it comes to asking for what someones ideal partner is, its just pointless. It usually tells me a lot. I'd say someone kind that I had sexual chemistry with. Who I clicked with (on my wavelength intellectually and emotionally). And who was compatible with me in everyday life. Exactly. I see it the same way. If I get a nude picture from someone I have a crush on, I'll like it. If I got the same picture before I knew him? I'd feel nothing. And most men aren't like that. Yes. But I think for many women it's about meeting someone you click with. Where there's a romantic spark, chemistry, a vibe between you. It's hard to explain, but you know how some people you have fun talking to for ages and some people conversation feels like pulling teeth? It's about meeting someone who's similar enough to you, on your wavelength. Most men need these things to fall in love too. But they don't need to have a romantic spark with someone to want sex. Honestly? Biology. Evolution made men (I'm being jokey here) slutty. If a guy sleeps with a 200 women in a year, he could get 200 kids. If a girl does the same, she'll only get pregnant once. And if she gets pregnant, the chance of her and the baby surviving in the wild goes way up if that guy sticks around.

It's easier for women to find sex, bc most women are way more meh about having sex with a stranger than men. Hence low supply, high demand.

I disagree that everybody settles. A lot of people just fall in love. A person doesn't have to be perfect for you to fall in love with them, but falling in love makes you feel they are perfect. And you only want That Person. We can see by the numbers of single women in their 30s and 40s that most women don't settle. And with women having careers and incomes now, there's way less reason for them to settle.
/r/ExRedPill04/03/23 07:57 AM

I disagree, because it tells you something. It tells you about them as a person and their values, but also about what they find sexy. If a lot of people find the same thing sexy, that's sort of useful information. Like how many women swoon when guys are good with children and animals. It's partly "he'd make a good dad", but it's partly just sexy because you see "this person could be good at taking care of me. He's affectionate and empathetic."

This can even be an "unfair" arrangement where he sleeps around and she stays at home, if thats what he wants he must compensate her in some way or be equal. This is why I think a lot of the advice in this sub about emotional connection yadda yadda, doesn’t work for men. It’s a terrible bargaining position to offer women something they have an abundance of already i.e. emotional connection. Because an emotional connection is partly why you fall in love. Two things: 1)Men are expected to initiate more, so men will tell women they are into them. Women might just be waiting for the guy to make a move and won't be so explicit about thinking a guy is cute. 2) Casual sex. Scientifically one of the few gender differences we can actually show is that men are way more into sex with strangers than women. So women will get a lot of offers of casual sex, men won't. Basically, people should have more of an open mind about this and not be so quick to become defensive or suspicious of someones motives. The best thing a couple could do is to have an open dialogue around their emotions, and leave enough space open for vulnerability. I agree with all of that. I’d argue that being defensive is a sign of insecurity too It's not being defensive to say "you either trust my word or this can't work". It's true. And it's also not being defensive to not accept controling behavior. Actions don't mean someone checking your phone. It's just not cheating and staying loyal over time.
/r/ExRedPill26/02/23 02:19 PM

Bouts of insecurity or just need reaffirmation. But you can do this through just conversation and emotional reassurance. Which is normal. Everyone gets jealous sometimes, then you talk about it and reaffirm why you chose them and why they don't need to be jealous. Needing to check your phone is controling. Bc it implies not trusting your word. I agree it's less of a problem if it happens rarely, but I just wouldn't. Either they trust my word or we give up.

The way I handle it, is like if I tell my partner I’m driving, I would give her a text when I arrive at my destination, so that she can feel comfortable knowing that I made it safely. It’s not a control thing, just a reaffirmation and comfort thing. But it is a control thing if they are checking your texts to see you aren't cheating. No. Because all of them are "I can't trust your word". I'm not having a baby with a guy who feels that way. Having a baby with someone as a woman is putting a lot of trust in that guy. It doesn't make sense to trust someone who doesn't trust you back. It's also a bit of a dumb move, bc if you read the scientific studies on this, it's not actually a common problem. I don't want to date a guy who bases his life choices on TikToks.

My quote was a quote from the article you linked. Where are you going with this? What are you trying to show? If you wanted to say grown men should be allowed to date teenagers, then the study you linked said that it was better for ASD if they had their children with teenage boys. Good that you aren't rude or manipulative. so I released them from my roster to go out and try to find something serious because I don’t have sex with women who have sex with multiple men I'm very confused. If you are looking for sex and sleeping with multiple women at the same time, wouldn't it make sense to sleep with women who are on the same page as you? As in they genuinely don't want anything serious, they aren't looking for anything monogamous, they are just having sex with multiple peopl…

Well, a more interesting fact is that if you are college educated and get married for the first time after 25, you have a 70% shot of being married forever. That's surprisingly good. It's important to be open about your own feelings, needs, boundaries and dealbreakers. If you felt you couldn't do that before, I understand that felt stifling to you. But that's not a specific RedPill thing. Common sense dating advice is to communicate your needs and look for a compatible partner. And end it if you…

I had lot of social exposure as a teenager, I was still hopelessly awkward. You have to work on it conscientiously. Like the points I've listed. Read about social norms, read about non-verbal communication. Watch dumb reality tv and note how people act around other people. See their confessions later, where they explained how they felt at the time. Read Reddit posts where normal people talk about their problems with friends/dating/relationships. "How to win friends and influence people" have got…

Why shouldn't they? It's like any other skill, you have to work on it. I was a terribly awkward teenager, I'm quite smooth now, bc I'm old and I worked on it. Learning social skills is: *Get familiar with social norms. There are many unwritten social rules, but once you know them, you do know them. *Learning to read other people and their vibes. What do they do when they feel sad, angry, uncomfortable, happy, flirty? For some people it's easier to intuitively pick up on other people's feelings. …

Why was she uncomfortable? That sounds like either you wanted to communicate your interest in her, but went about it in slightly the wrong way or she's not the nicest friend. The safest thing to do when you are interested in a friend? Just ask them out on a date once. Be chill about it, say it's ok if they just want to be friends instead. And then if they say no or just give you some non-answer ("I'm very busy right now"), then you just close the case and pretend it never happened. Treat them as…

Oh, I've talked to a lot of guys about this in real life. But if you go back to my post, I'm not saying dating is easy for everyone or that "just do this and you'll get a girlfriend". I'm just explaining why I think the RedPill's dating advice is flawed and won't work. I'm not saying that dating is easy.

Far worse? For some, not others. A lot of normal guys who do have active social lives end up meeting women they click with. Even if they are very average looking. I do agree to not pin your success on getting laid or finding a relationship though. It's too random.

But if you want sex, you want to seduce women, right? And then you might want to know what women find hot or not. Even with a completely cynical perspective here, it would make sense to get some advice from women. To accomplish the goal.

I don't think a guy usually gets a lot of dates. You dont have to meet someone through a date though. You can meet them organically, at dinner with friends and friends of friends, at a party, at an activity. The risk is getting your heart broken. It mends again though. People get heartbroken and recover. But I see the RedPill as part insecurity and part wanting to eliminate that risk. Which you can't, except by not dating.

This is all true. On the other hand I'd say that most people don't click with most people, and that it's sort of rare for anyone to meet someone they really click with. So that it can take a long time, without there being anything wrong with you. A lot of people I know spent their entire twenties searching for someone they clicked with and only ran into the right person after a decade. It's not an everyday thing. But my point is that women also have a lot of experience with what other women find hot, seductive or unsexy. What turns them off and on. Women talk to each other. After a date, my friends will call me and say "he did X and that was so sexy. But then he said Y, and it turned me off". This is my point. Vs a lot of the people on the RP don't really have that much experience with women and their sexuality.

You are just young. You think you understand and then you don't. That's ok. Of course women can love men genuinely. Look at all the Reddit posts that are "my boyfriend is depressed, how can I best support him?". Relationships are a bit more conditional than parenthood though. But that's the same for men and women. If you love someone and they treat you badly, you sometimes have to leave even if you love them. Like if I loved my husband, but he kept cheating on me, it would tear me apart to stay.…

So for now this is fine. But what about for life? Most people get hurt and heartbroken in relationships sometimes. It's part of dating. And that's why having a real relationship is a risk. People still continue having real relationships because when you meet someone good you can have a healthy relationship with, it's worth it. You have a partner for life. Depends on who you ask. Ask a sensible woman with good social skills and she won't only think about herself. She'll think about all the women she's known and talked to. And generalize from that. Cheating is a gender neutral concern. In fact more men than women cheat. And as for children, studies show that 99% of them have the right father listed. You listed a retracted table. Usually if something is removed from a scientific publication it means that it was inaccurate. Why don't you believe it adequately compares? And you could really list anything looks related here. Should women who are average looking expect their husbands to cheat on them and be constantly jealous? Why or why not?

Don't you have any concept of nuance? It's not black and white. Of course you can work on social skills and looks. I just mean that everyone isn't born with the exact same looks or social intelligence. I don't want an intensely goal driven guy, who's emotionally closed off and type A. I want someone who can be vulnerable, who is a bit laidback, who's not intensely focused on career or money. And I couldn't care less if he's got a six-pack. That's not the same as that I want to date an obese man.

The problem with your theory is that: 1) There is a certain kind of genetic determinism in dating. But the thing is: why? Bc only 10% of the women are looking for a hookup and almost 100% of the guys. So the women who want casual sex get their pick of the litter. Unless they are unattractive, then the attractive guys will skip them. The situation isn't: all the women are running around having wild sex every night with a new, very attractive stranger. It's most of the women are either sleeping with their husbands or going to bed alone. They know they can have sex with strangers, they just don'…

It's not casual sex the way most people think of casual sex if two people are falling in love and end up in bed together. If I slept with my husband before we made it official, do you think that counts as a hookup? Of course that's flawed. Someone you went on a date with once =\= a relationship. How can that be unclear? https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2020/08/20/a-profile-of-single-americans/

The last study was flawed. They asked "where did you meet your last romantic interest?" That can just be: where did you meet the last guy you went on a date with. The PEW research report asked people who were in couples in 2020 how they met. The couples aged 20-29 mostly met offline. 75% (friends + school+ work+ family+ bars), of them 31% through friends. Only 21 % of the couples met online. I read the study. Only 60% of students said they'd ever had a hookup. They didn't differentiate between w…

If follows quite logically that since many women are in relationships and most women have 1 sexual partner or less, they are having sex with their boyfriend. They aren't having casual sex at all. Couples have been studied and normally people end up with a partner on a similar attractiveness level as themselves. The average looking girl isn't dating a male model, she's dating an average looking guy. Why wound the male model date her, when he can have a girlfriend that's a female model? However, 7…

The last thing is BS. And if you look at studies of women's sexual behavior, most women just don't have that many sex partners. Women aren't into casual sex the way men are. Tinder isn't Grindr. That's your answer.

Edit: to put this into perspective. Imagine you have 10 female friends. 5 of them are in relationships and are having sex with their boyfriend/husband only. If they are normal women, they are dating normal men on their own attractiveness level. 2 of them aren't having sex at all and haven't had sex for at least a year. Probably longer. 1 of them only had sex with one guy the entire last year, the other girl had sex with two. Probably guys they dated, which didn't end up work out. Last girl? She'…

Science tells us that women overall aren't that into casual sex and don't have a lot of sexual partners. JAMA article 2020. Women aged 18-44: 86.2% had 1 or 0 sexual partners last year. 93 % had 2, 1 or 0 sexual partners. Women aged 18-24: a surprising 19 % didn't have sex at all last year. 87.5 % had 2 sexual partners or less. 79.8% had 1 or 0 sexual partners last year. This tells you women aren't that into casual sex with random strangers. That's not news. It's just evolution making men bigger sluts than women (I'm saying this jokingly, but you get my point). Women often don't want casual sex, they just want romantic relationships. That's not unfair or an insult. It's just an average gender difference. Also the study doesn't tell you how the dates would end. Women who do want hookups, want establish trust before going home with a stranger. It's a security risk…

But ofc old people aren't having a lot of sex. It's not that fun when you're waiting for your hip replacement. What did you think when you read it? Bc I think the most interesting things were actually that among young people, men and women where similarly sexually inexperienced and sexually active. Edit: Single women over 70 weren't having a lot of sex. Does that shock you?

But this is just what the actual study says. If you want to ignore the study, that's fine. But it says: between 16-44 10% of men and 14 % of women are sexually inactive. That's just facts. And then it goes on to show a table that says the % of virgins are the basically the same for men and women in all age groups. I'm just stating facts. Fine if you want to ignore them.

I'm just quoting the actual study, which says it's as common for women as men to be sexually inexperienced. And more women than men are sexually inactive among younger people (16-44). If you want to use science, you have to read the study and figure out what it says.

If you look at younger people in general though: *16-19: More women than men are sexually inexperienced. *20-24: Basically equal numbers *25-29: here the data is less certain, bc fewer people in the group. Overall a bit more men are sexually inexperienced, but do you find 5.6 vs 3.0 a striking difference? *30-34. Again, less certain data. But here the differences have evened out again. Men: 0.7, women: 1.0. Overall sexual inexperience is pretty evenly distributed between the genders. Older peopl…

4.2% vs 3.6% means around 4% of men and women have had 0 sexual partners. That's not a striking difference. Do you think it is? In the 16-19 age group, more women than men were sexually inexperienced. In the 20-24 age group it was 9.6 vs 9.3. Which is same same. More women than men were sexually inactive in all age groups. Since similar numbers of men and women were sexually inexperienced, it then follows that a smaller portion of the sexually inactive women were sexually inexperienced. Bc sexua…

People don't lie to uphold their image when answering anonymous surveys in front of a computer alone. What would be the point of that? And think about it practically. Let's do the math. Say 5% of men are having all the casual sex. That 20 women: 1 guy, if all the women are having lots of casual sex as well. It's impossible for 1 guy to satisfy 20 women in a week. Women have greater sexual stamina than men. And women expect to be seduced even for hookups. That's a lot of texting, wining and dinin…

The average woman isn't going home with a new handsome stranger every night. This is what people miss. How many sex partners do you think women have through their life? Not really surprising. Overall few men have regular casual sex, unless they are gay. Women just aren't that big on sex with strangers. Japan is known for a big focus on career and academics, which can lead to a kind of arrested development. Teens and young adults don't get the time they need to grow social/dating/relationship skills. Without these skills it's hard to have healthy relationships, with healthy sex lives.

The test would be if the subculture or the involuntary celibacy was the cause of these issues. If it was involuntary celibacy you'd see equal rates of depression, social isolation, victimhood in these two groups. If the subculture was the cause, you'd see higher rates in the men belonging to the subculture. You could run another experiment comparing men who weren't involuntary celibate to these two other groups. However then you run into a huge issue of confounders. Are men who are sexless more …

Car insurance rates is a good point. It could also be driving skills though, they will also increase with age. However, you could study unmarried couples. Younger women are more at risk for nonfatal ipv, but women between 35-49 are the group most often killed by their partner. If this was solvable just by banning young men from dating, that wouldn't be the case. Testosterone in itself isn't the best explaination. It only decreases by 1% per year, after 30. It's not a robust question at all. There is an entire incel subculture, with shared beliefs about how the world works and a shared community. You can agree with these beliefs or disagree, but you can't deny the existence of a subculture. Men who belong to this subculture and men who don't but just aren't having sex and would like to, might score differently. A culture where women get married at 18 and which we know little about? Do you know if marriages are arranged or not? If women have their own income? If domestic abuse is more or less common? Arranged marriages will for example be different from chosen marriages.

And men who said no on all of these would might as a group be different than men who said yes to C. That's my point. It's not necessarily the lack of sex for example that leads to increased victimhood. No, you can't dodge it were I live either. That's against the law. But it's no problem in everyday life bc people know that if they turn up for the initial interview and say they aren't motivated for conscription, they are just formally dismissed. And sounds reasonable. I'd consider looking into therapy to fix the other life factors and maybe anxiety though.

How is conscription practiced in your country? I'm from a country where there in theory is conscription for men. In reality it's extremely easy to get out of, they only accept guys who really want to join the military. If you say you're not motivated, you'd be dropped. Everyone knows this. And there lots of couples where the guy is way less conventionally attractive than the girl. You know how pregnant women see pregnant women everywhere and feel everyone is pregnant? Pets will love you unconditionally. Friends can too, but you need to put in an effort to find good friends. Beauty standards for women aren't any simpler than beauty standards for men. If you are a man or a woman, you don't need to be a model to be loved though. Look at couples on the street. Most of them are just two ordinary looking people. Dating apps give men the wrong impression, bc dating apps are almost all male. 70-80 % of users are men, it's just not a good way to meet girls.

I'm not sure this is true. Beautiful women are used to sell things to both men and women bc women want to be beautiful and men want beautiful women.
