Same here. I feel bad every day for my daughter. She deserves more of my time, but my ex cleaned me out and if I don’t work a full time and a part time job I’ll go under…. It’s a damned if I do, damned if I don’t kinda deal. You are dead on with your assessment of the selfishness. 2-3 years in and just when I think I’ve seen it all, my ex can still shock me with her levels of entitlement, self-absorption and lack of accountability.

Was in the same spot. Finally got tired of being broke. Signed up for two delivery services. Sorry I didn’t do it much sooner. It’s not going to make me wealthy anytime soon, but it’s made a huge difference in balancing out my monthly bills. It also gets me out of the house, rather than sitting around feeling bad. Might as well use my spare time to make some extra. I do recommend keeping your day job. I don’t feel it’s consistent enough to turn into a full time deal. And hey, fwiw, I got the bra…

+1 on bringing the best you to the table…. It’s a miserable business, however, it’s solid advice and works. It really does get better with time and now that my kid has gotten a little older, she sees right through it and we have a great relationship. Hang in there.

Sorry for the cliche…. But it really is about her. If you’re not the bad guy then she might have to look at her own shortcomings and take some accountability. Sorry again, that’s just not how they roll.

50/50 custody. She gets 20% of my net in alimony and child support. CS drops in 3 years. Alimony drops in 8 years which is total horseshit.

I have the same problem. Thanks for sharing your story. You're on the right path. Here's the hard part....start working on you.... gray rock it and start rebuilding yourself...

The biggest problem I have had is the Attorney part. I had to fire the first one. The second one came out of the gate awesome and has started to fade a bit even though I have given her 7k in cash. Best thoughts I can give are stay on your Attorney on any path you take. You can have the best plan on earth but if the Attorney cannot deliver it doesn't matter. I can't stress this enough... second guess your attorney on everything.... I had to meet my soon to be ex at a coffee place just last night …

Just last night I had to see my ex in person due to the need to finalize some paperwork. Truth be told it really messed me up. She did terrible things and there I was thinking it was actually kind of good to see her.... After a few minutes conversation we went our way(s).... I cannot figure out why it was good to see her. She did terrible things like moving out and notifying me by text... I have the same problem.... I can only speak for myself but the angst comes from the lack of loyalty, the lo…
