I've two theories on why you may have this issue. Women don't quite understand what looks like flirting to men. When they have a boyfriend they feel validated and a lot more confident about themselves, and just act more outgoing to everyone they meet- it's the same as how, when you have a girlfriend, you get a lot more smiles and things from girls as they walk past. I forgot 2.
