I will assume this is structural family counselling a theory that places emphasis on hierarchy within the family and rules. Very effective across cultures and socioeconomic statuses, but one of the limitations is that it "may be sexist at times". I would wager current practitioners have to tiptoe around that a lot in order to get results, but I don't know enough about it to say for sure.
