Oneitis is the problem

Some truth here but this line of thinking can be very dangerous.

While its best to avoid oneitis with women at all costs and do the necessary things to keep it from setting in you(i.e. abundance mentality, options, achieve and maintain high SMV) this mindset applied to other areas of your live could very well be used to hamster up excuses.

Example:

"I don't want to lift and eat right anymore because I have oneitis for having a shredded body with a six pack, there is more than one way to have a good body and be in shape"

This line of thinking can be dangerous. I say its best to have specific short term, mid term and long term goals to want to achieve, I wouldn't necessarily say wanting to achieve those goals is having oneitis for the outcome of said goals.

You've confused outcome dependence and oneitis. They are related but different beasts. Oneitis is when you limit your options to only one woman especially when this limitation happens in your mind. The less you go out and meet new girls the worst oneitis becomes.

Even in ltrs yo make sure you have options.

Outcome dependence is when your ego gets attached to a particular set of circumstances ecause you believe reaching those milestones youve identified will validate your self worth.

It's not Oneitis when it's not Woman, in fact Oneitis is just an off branch of the "Self Limiting Belief" many people have. Oneitis is when you choose to believe that this woman is the only one hence limiting your choices.

When it comes to career and other aspects, it applies the same way. When you give up your power to walk away, you limited your options to move to somewhere new. It's all limited by yourself.

Startups come and go, business bloom and burst. Nothing is forever, even legacy can be rewritten, same for History. So why limit yourself to simply one option?

Ehh, I don't think I really agree with this. Oneitis for women yes that's very true. But I only have one career that I will do or else I will be homeless, you have to put everything all on the line in life or else you're just selling yourself short.

But after consideration I have realised you can have oneitis in every area of your life.

Do some reading on Albert Ellis and his concept of the "dysfunctional belief."
