So I have this really stupid concept of treating women like fellow human beings. I don't know where I went wrong.

Honestly, I agree with you. I don't think you throw out the code of honor amongst thieves just to chase pussy, especially with your friends. I saw a lot of that shit in one of the chapters at my fraternity. These guys were so busy cock-blocking and throwing each other under the bus and climbing over the corpse just to get a whiff of pussy, the thirst was palpable. Nobody wins in that scenario. There's a way to go about it where everybody who wants to wins, I've seen and experienced it and it's a…

You can be a good friend and still game chicks. The two aren't mutually exclusive. For a primer on this, I suggest the Beige Phillip show. There's a reason Dante doesn't bang the chicks his friends are trying to hook up with.

In the abstract, I get your point. She's not off-limits and is free to be 'empowered' by as many dicks as she wants. But my personal code doesn't allow for this kind of behaviour towards my friends, and because I have to act with integrity, I don't do it to them. I'll do my best to talk him up and get her interested but if she starts going for me, I put a stop to it - or just fuck her later when he's otherwise occupied - but I'll never rub his face in it. I respect my friends too much to pull it…

This isn't about working out or digesting the sidebar. There's been other women in this time, so it ain't one-itis, just a stupid 'everybody gets got' lesson I fucked up. It happens to everybody and I'm a little pissed, but this stuff happens. It's already motivated me to set up 2 dates and get one number today. But a friend who does that isn't a friend, I don't care how dark triad you are.

Dude. She's 18 and since you've been married and are successful, that puts you somewhere ~30 or higher. What did you think she was doing? A virile 18 year old shows interest in you and you think it must be your 'tight game'? Next time use some forethought.

Doesn't work that way. In every species on earth it's the male that has to do the the pea-cocking approach and the work. In essence, he has to prove his worth to the female because they are the ones who do the choosing. While you're standing off in the corner acting all aloof and mysterious, she's going home with the guy who approached and proved his worth. Are you sure you've read the sidebar? This means that at a bar or social situation, I have to prove myself better than every other guy who h…

Pro-tip: I find brown leather shoes go better with jeans (and a brown belt). As long as it's not the same shade as the sportcoat, you should be able to do it.

Like most philosophies, there are good things to pull out of the PUA stuff and good things to learn about the 'game' method. But they're both useful. For example, the first recommendation of everything even remotely pua I've read is, 'approach and talk to women.' Which is basically the golden ticket. The more women you talk to, the more practice you get and the higher your odds when screening for receptiveness. The idea with the mystery method is it's basically a step-by-step method for, let's f…

So what's the play here then? Understanding that women crave attention, if you give them none, they'll find somebody who will. If you give them some without - I assume - anything substantial to back it up, you'll become a beta orbiter or just be wasting your time.

It's 'grad school.' Two words. You'd think with your lofty education, you'd have been able to figure that bit out. And don't even get me started on the grammar. What are the entrance requirements for post-grad at your college, the ability to fog a mirror?

Isn't there a whole section in "No More Mr. Nice Guy" where he writes about the "As soon as..." phenomenon, and how it's self-defeating? I'll date as soon as I lose x pounds, or get x job, or get x thing straightened out. That list of 10 things reads basically like the opposite of that. The author's got nice enough tits though, but looks to be about 40. I wouldn't be surprised if she's early-to-mid 30s, but she looks like a piece of shoe leather!

Well, you could try logic. For the same reason all those cocks she rode in her 20s 'meant nothing to her because she CHOSE you after all' you can say that strange pussy meant nothing to you. After all, you chose her. Or you can pre-emptively break up with her because while she may be one in a million, she's also one of a million.

How do I get him to understand that his value as a man is more than his ability to get laid? Apparently around these parts, your value as a man is only in your ability to get laid. Everything else is secondary. Everything we do: work on yourself, dress better, lift weights, make money, increase smv has the end goal of 'fucking bitches.'

Here's the thing about the gym: guys who look like they're on the gear, probably are. And creatine is $20 a tub, so everybody is using it because it swells your muscles. Your genetics may allow you to put on strength but your muscles are lean so you don't get the size. Personally, I'd rather be strong and lean than bulky and buff because if you have size and muscle and you stop working out, it turns to shit. Skinny guys just have it fall off.
/r/TheRedPill04/04/14 03:17 PM
2

I'm not going to go so far as to call bullshit, but I hit the gym 3 times a week at peak time, and I think I can count on 2 hands the number of guys I've seen squatting 3+ plates with hips going below parallel or deadlifting 4+ without lifting straps and using proper form or benching 3+ plates with the bar to the chest. And to give some perspective, the elite bench for a 200-pounder is 360. That's the bar, and 3 45lb plates plus 1 25lb plate per side. I think I know 2 guys who can do that. Even …

And your point? My whole point is it doesn't matter, and the amount of vitriol and bitterness here (on the macro level, not necessarily from you) is a waste of mental energy. It's toxic and taxing and just leads to more bitterness and less success.
/r/TheRedPill02/04/14 04:05 PM
3

It's misplaced bitterness and trying too hard. We've all been in the situation where we're like "Damn, i really want to fuck that girl over there, but she doesn't want to screw me. Must be her." And it's pointless. Don't get mad at a woman for not wanting to fuck you. Go find one that DOES want to bang you, and you've fought half the battle.
/r/TheRedPill02/04/14 04:02 PM
2

Whether or not your statement is accurate, I don't see the point of stressing over it. That was my whole point: why should I care whether or not a stranger lives with regret? The only lesson I have to learn here is how to spot one and how to avoid getting trapped. Anything else is live and let live. Let some other idiot deal with it.

For what it's worth, when I was young I was told (by my mother no less) that a woman who sleeps around doesn't like or respect herself much. And tbh nothing I've seen has changed my mind about that. But for every shoe there is a foot, and I've known a bunch of reformed carousel-riders who now have a hubby and a little brood of their own. They've basically suffered no consequences for getting 3 dicks a night for 10 years. I wouldn't trade places with her husband, but I am a bit bitter that I wasn…

So? How does it enrich you knowing that? Does it make you happy or satisfied knowing that they fail step 2? Or is it bitterness that they're not doing step 2 with you? Seriously bud, It.Does.Not.Matter. We are free to make our own decisions, and if a woman wants to do that, that's her choice regardless of how you feel about it.

My kindness is the most cruel thing I can do to you, because without challenge you become a mediocre man. Interesting line. Makes you wonder whether the men who have looked at women, the games they play and the shit they do, gone fuck this noise, I'm out, and gone their own way are missing something. Maybe the sole purpose of women on the planet is to test us to make us prove ourselves worthy.

What Pook is trying to say (but never quite gets around to saying it) is that sometimes 'good enough' is good enough. You don't need one more rep, you don't need 6-pack abs to go out and enjoy yourself and meet women. One of the traps we fall into is the 'if I were/as soon as...' trap, and it's self-limiting. You take something in your life you have control over: your weight, your non-genetic looks, your clothes etc. Then you say, "Well, I'll date as soon as I hit x goal." Or "When I get x net w…

The big 6 - bench, squat, deadlift, standing military press, rows, and pullups. Do those and you will get strong. You have to do it for you because it's not a miracle cure-all. Getting into shape won't magically make women start hitting on you, or even notice you. Case in point: I dropped 25 lbs, have 12% body fat, have a visible 4-pack now, can DL 360lbs.... do women check me out more? Nope. Do they approach me more? Nope. Do they even notice me more? Only in that there's a big scary-looking gu…

Easy. Avoid them. The supplement industry is a non-regulated industry. Which means they can make wahtever claims they want. Your protein powder? How do you know each scoop contains waht's on the label? Your pills? How do you know the dosage in each capsule? It's a multi-billion-dollar snake-oil scam. There are really only 3 'supplements' you might want: Cod liver oil (vitamin a, d and omega 3... your fish oil NEEDS all three of these in order for correct synthesis) Vitamin D if you live in a nor…

sin of echo chamber and groupthink. Use your brain. What has better results, acting like you're playing from a script (if I do a, and she does b, then I'll do c, but if she does d then do f), or talking, being natural, taking the wins and losses and developing a technique that works for you?
/r/TheRedPill28/03/14 02:36 PM

Right. And that's why my reasoning works perfectly: you forgot something crucially important about LMR. Is pushing through LMR really worth the possibility of misinterpreting the signs? What if instead of a test it's actually her saying no? Always be selfish and thinking of your best interests. Are you really willing to risk a rape accusation to get your dick wet? If so, you're dumber than a second coat of paint. No broad is worth that, no matter what. As a policy, 'no means no' is a pretty good…
/r/TheRedPill28/03/14 02:11 PM

Completely agree with this actually. Do you want to know the single most important 'game hack' you can do, and why all PUA methods work? The first lesson is always, 'go talk to women.' That's it. That's all you need. No tricks, no lines, no pissy attitudes. Just say hi. Some will be interested, some won't. Beige Philip: the best game is no game.
/r/TheRedPill28/03/14 02:05 PM

Seriously, you should give up after the first 'no.' It tells you she's either a) not really interested or b) a grade-a game-player. Why beat your head against a wall? Do you really have the time or the patience to deal with that? I'd rather just go to the next woman. Odds are she might want to engage more with me, and finding a woman who's actually open to talking to you is way more than half the battle. You already have her interest.

The book No More Mr. Nice Guy has some good advice about how to communicate this stuff in a way that doesn't sound whiny or bitchy but in a method that conveys: this is how i'm feeling, I don't like it.

Swing and a miss. The author completely misses the point of RP. He's still trying to modify his behavior to attract a woman. Backwards. The goal is not improve yourself to bag more women. The goal is improve yourself, because. Full stop. Everything, everything EVERYTHING follows from there.

Not any of the ones I know currently, no. They're either coworkers or neighbors and are are off-limits, full stop. I don't like women having that kind of access to me.

But that would be like... being the other fwb right? Or she's tired of the original fwb and is looking to trade up? I understand where you're going with this, but I also just felt my nuts shrivel a bit at the thought of being yet another notch for a chick. I'm absolutely better than that.
/r/TheRedPill19/03/14 05:41 PM

Not trying to be a hater, it's I just don't really understand the mentality of a FWB arrangement, nor why somebody would want a relationship analogue without an actual relationship attached. Either be single and learn to be okay with it (it's not as difficult as it seems) or find somebody you're compatible with. It seems to me that sex without attachment is more or less masturbation (with more effort). And you just KNOW somebody is going to catch feelings as a result, because it's how we're wire…

I'll repost a similar response I made above: My next question, I suppose, is what's the appeal of fuck buddies vs. an actual relationship? Given what I understand of fwb arrangements, why wouldn't you want to have sex within the context of either a ONS or a real relationship? It seems like the sexual version of adult adolescence. I've met 3 in the last 2 months alone. None are plates, just women I interact with. One was all, 'dating is too much work' so she found a fuck buddy (has since I think gotten a bf), the second has a fwb but is hoping he catches feelings. She knows it's not going to happen but doesn't have the courage to cut the string. The second got dumped from a ltr and within a month had a fuck-buddy.
/r/TheRedPill19/03/14 12:34 PM

Has the opposite effect on me. I think to myself, "Either you're fucking till someone else better comes along, because why not, or you're hoping he catches feelings and you start dating." But that could be me projecting.
/r/TheRedPill19/03/14 11:56 AM

Thanks for that, but I'm not sleeping with any of them. They're either coworkers or neighbors, both of which I consider off-limits for my sanity and focus. I have communicated this to them. Ego shielding do you think?
/r/TheRedPill19/03/14 11:52 AM

So what's the problem here... the 8 things this guy talks about actually do seem to make sense. Some of his other stuff, while not being PUA-ey (the 'checklist' method that the PUAs use) seems to be pretty good coaching as well. Is it because you find out that he's not the PUA you thought he was, or do you just not buy into the advice he's giving?

Good goals. A word of caution about supplements: the 'supplement' industry is unregulated to my knowledge. Which means they could be selling you a tub of garbage and you wouldn't know. Tread carefully. Outside of vitamin D and Cod Liver Oil (and imo it must be cod liver oil rather than generic 'fish oil' or other type of fish), I've never noticed other supplements do anything.

Thanks, and that's good advice. Patrice was coming at it with too much anger and rage in my opinion. Not that he wasn't correct, but his 'righteous anger' doesn't really mesh with my way of looking at the world. I'm already working my way through the Beige Phillip podcasts, and a lot of what they say makes sense. At this point all it takes is practice and melding the knowledge to my personality (rather than changing my personality to the knowledge).

Well this is sort of the 'next thing' for me. I did judo for 4 years when I was younger, then wrestled for 3 years in jr high school, hockey for like 8, football (handegg) for 4, karate for 1 (didn't care for it). I sort of like to do something for 3-5 years, put it aside then do something else. Sailing and bjj are mutually exclusive time- and cost-wise this season, so I'll have to pick one or the other. One of the greatest lessons you can learn as a man is how to get your woman off. If you can give her consistent orgasms, your relationship and life improves by orders of magnitude. Sex no longer becomes something she has to endure, and she actually wants it more because you've 'found her combination.' I don't know about many of you guys, but I only get one 'oh' then I have to wait a bit. For those playing the home game, that's called the refractory period. Now, your average woman can have 2, or …

I think the video misrepresents the problem, to be honest. A lot of the way we socialize boys is wrong. They neither have a stable masculine presence nor a good role model to look up to (read: idolizing NBA players, rappers, etc etc - the wrong type of men). There's nothing wrong with teaching little boys to control their emotions. There's nothing wrong with teaching them to channel their aggression into sports. There's nothing wrong with teaching them that their aggression is a natural part of …

As far as paying for the date goes... I'm of two minds on the practice. On the one hand, if the bill comes and she makes no effort to even reach for the wallet or offer, I'm sort of stuck, but she won't get a second date. If on the other hand she reaches for the wallet and offers to pay - and the date is not looking like it's getting to a second date anyhow - I'll usually let her pay her half and consider myself lucky I didn't double-down. Little bit ;-) It reminded me of a conversation I was having with a date last night. She is a regular rock climber and was telling me how disappointed she was when, after her male climbing buddy asked her out and she said no, he didn't want to climb with her again. I only spent about a minute trying to explain to her that "A man is only talking with you because he finds you attractive." 3 guesses as to how well that went....

My take away is that she is putting brunt of the consequences of the interaction solely on you and how you handle it. Which is solipsism at its best. That's not solipsism, that's just the way it is. We are the men, we are the ones that have to approach, we are the ones that have to put our ego on the line from approach, to getting the number, to first date, to sex. Everything. And at any point during the interaction, she can change her mind. That is a woman's prerogative sadly.

It's situational. When you see a pretty woman in your day-to-day life, why wouldn't you say hi? But if you're at a bar, and you've just seen 6 guys hit on a chick, do you really want to be the 7th? There are ways to approach this too. Be patient, show mastery. Make eye contact, maybe give her a small applause when she dismisses a guy... stuff like that. By not doing what everybody else is (showing patience) you set yourself apart.

Actually, I found this to be a pretty good resource. Nothing groundbreaking, true, but it's always nice to have a reminder. Great post, OP. And something I've been struggling to articulate lately. I feel like - literally - there is nothing missing in my life that a woman can provide except sex. Need companionship? Get a dog. Want friendship? I have friends. Cooking/cleaning/laundry? I can do all that myself. Do you ever get that? Best question I've found on recent dates: "What can you do to enhance my life besides be a hole to fill, and take my time and money?"

Anybody have stats on how long sperm can live outside your body/hers? I'm a bit skeptical about the 'used condom spermjacking' talk. According to the Mayo clinic and a quick Google search, it's a couple of hours if left in semen (I assume inside the condom). Longer if frozen. It seems like a low-probability chance of success if you go that way. That's why there are so many of them - they're delicate.

My theory is it's either to build themselves up and create jealousy in you (look at how much attention from men I'm getting! Generally, the most useful advice most people can get in that forum is "Break up with him/her already, fix yourself by whatever means necessary, then find somebody better." I only agree with that statement on the surface level. By all means, don't disqualify yourself. But you need to be able to say no to. If it's a co-worker, or she's red-flag crazy, or you're getting a bad vibe, it's best to look elsewhere.

It does come back, but knowing what you know now, it's fewer and farther between. For me, it happens when I see a truly stunning woman and gives me a swift reminder to approach or I might miss it. My goal is to never let that feeling completely fade. It reminds you of why you're out trying to meet women, and lets you feel alive and excited about a new experience. Once that feeling is gone forever, dating and meeting women becomes a painful chore and drudgery.
