I don't know what kind of weird strain of feminism that is. Its a mainstream one.

Generally the only chicks that fall for these stunts are young chicks (check that out, shocker!) and abused chicks. I see this claim a lot and I don't know how you can rule out selection bias. You're missing data. You know how many guys you've caught using pickup tactics, but you don't have the number of guys you didn't catch.

How exactly do you think women live single? Eating a lot of pastries and frozen dinners and that is from personal observation. Not that there aren't women who can cook, though it seems like most girls who "can cook" mostly just know how to make desserts. I've never met a girl under 40 who can make a solid healthy and tasty dinner from scratch.

Even if you go clubbing, most of the guys flock the attractive ones The confident ones go for the hottest girls. The guys down to meet average girls also have average confidence ie they aren't "flocking" to anybody.

Women's "normal" is quite a ways right on the bell curve of men. Just like how some men's "normal" woman isn't fat, which is also on the right side of the bell curve of women.

Being told to depend on a man to take care of you is the opposite of feminism. Its not "Being told to depend on a man to take care of you". Its being told that if somebody places expectations on you (especially if that person is a man), they are being sexist and/or oppressive.

What excess men? In the US and most Western nations there isnt a huge difference in the male and female populations. On what evidence are people basing the theory that a significant number of these men and women will be spending their lives single?

I think you might be the exception, not the rule. And when I hear stuff like this I just assume some failings on the mans part. This subreddit has taught me that a lot of guys are apparently really, really bad at pleasuring women.

We can watch Netflix and play video games with our cats, instead of facing the anxiety, danger, and even sheer terror going out on a date with a stranger brings. Girls and guys are different in many, many ways, but they both start to feel lonely after doing this for long enough.

haha is that some sort of ultimate goal, not to be single? Well I tried for the longest time to believe I was perfectly fine being single after the last breakup, and while its not terrible, I like having a girl in my life. Its not my sole goal in life though. Its one of several. Don't beg and plead for things that others get for free. I agree, don't beg or plead. Is it wrong? Yes. And its completely unhelpful. Its anti-helpful. I want all of these men to list out their worst fears and then face them one by one, in their own way. See how long they stay single. That fight will make them feel alive, I promise. I'm fighting it in my own way right now and every little victory feels amazing. Sorry to say but if you can only attract fat women, that's your league and exactly what you deserve You wont even tell them "then improve yourself"? Pretty negative attitude. I'm glad you aren't their "friend".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 11:47 PM

I agree with a lot of the general theory about the nature of relationships, though I think the whole cock carousel needs to be replaced with more realistic concepts of serial monogamy. In general TRP is good at describing the traits you need to be more sexually attractive. I've gone back and forth on the relationship thing but I think they do demonize relationships and marriage a bit too much, even if I agree that marriage is often a bad idea.

Yeah anybody who works to develop a social circle (and is already fit, good hygene, etc) will find somebody (by "find" I mean have an opportunity to ask a single girl out, but you still have to initiate because you're the man). I think the hard part is finding groups within your own age range, depending on your location. Some groups are mostly married older people.

I think most of us just don't think it's the PRIMARY female sexual strategy or the one most women end up needing to engage in. I sincerely hope you are right
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 11:35 PM

You can simplify that down even more simply: the problem is fear, and the inability to face it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 11:30 PM

The issue is that anything less than casual sex on demand with lots of smoking hot women is considered unfair and not good enough This seems like a strawman to me. A lot of the complainers are complaining about not getting not-fat women.

For women, the percentage more than doubled, increasing from 3.6 percent to 8.7 percent; for men, it nearly doubled, going from 4.5 percent to 8.2 percent. “The increase … appeared consistently across all age groups to those in their 50s and inconsistently for those in their 60s, 70s, …

I'm not denying that people cannot be conditioned, obviously they can, I'm arguing that the things you are talking about are not the result of that. Just because you can condition physical responses in dogs does not in any way provide evidence for the claim that the reason people love to eat cake and donuts is because cake and donut manufacturers somehow managed to condition them to that level. Its such an absurd claim.

I disagree, at least when it comes to how The Rational Male described this and my own experiences. What it means is that they don't want it so based on their own accomplishments, strength, confidence, etc. and more based on being good to their partner. Its the whole beta dream. It is not unconditional. Its only that male conditions and female conditions are different.

this is hardly controversial. Our love of sugar being driven more by ads than by our bodies desire for calories is what I would call highly controversial. its even more looks based then tinder I don't know if you have, but I have experience with this. You are very wrong. It is looks based (men do care about looks a lot), but it is very different. On Tinder, average girls are flooded with messages, average guys struggle to get responses. On gay dating apps, you can be a totally average guy and set up a threesome with virtually no effort. And just like with straight guys, men are more diverse in tastes, so if you're a big hairy dude there are tons o…

When feminists talk about the societal influence of patriarchal attitudes and prejudices What they call patriarchal attitudes are just different attitudes about the sexes, and I'd argue that is mostly biological, some of the best evidence being just how universal it is across cultures (with cultural influences selecting the degree, but not the existence of these attitudes) Nobody can escape it, not the MRA's and not the feminists.

She moved on quicker that means that all women move on quicker which means that women were evolutionary bred to move on quick due to having been war brides for thousands of years. We learn to associate sugary food with treats when we're kids and all the marketing that happens for chocolate and sweets 100% effects our perception of them Most adults associate sweets with gaining weight, but they eat them anyway because they taste really fucking good. I don't disagree at all that women sometimes get reduced (or no) sentences just for being female. Its just not a comparable phenomenon. So what happens when we take the great into automation we humans no longer have the option to create value to somebody else? You're coming up with a very generalized scenario that doesn't really fit well with reality and asking me to disprove it. That is not what automation does. I saw this video by Boston Dynamics the other week, and realized hard manual labor won't be a thing in highly developed countries decades from now There are a lot of assumptions there, such as the ability for machines such as those to be low-maintenance and low-power consumption, while also being capable of a wide variety of tasks for extended periods. The labor required to diagnose and fix problems with something like that is probably a good 20-50 times the cost of the manual labor itself. How …

Everything we do in life is towards maximizing reproductive success Your biological utility and your purpose are two completely different things. You have not filled the logical gap between "we are biologically driven to spread our genes" and "spreading our genes is our purpose" This is fact, rejecting this means rejecting modern science. No. Science tells us nothing about what a person's purpose should be. It tells us why we have our drives for food, for sex, for companionship, etc. It does not…

This is part of the reason why I really enjoy having seperate bedrooms when cohabitating. My last, and longest LTR was like that. She was bothered by the idea at first but quickly came to appreciate it. Just having that option to have your own space is really pleasant for both people. Thats kind of the mini-version of "distance".

Those of us that do something that we're passionate about or genuinely enjoy are fortunate. Most people do not. This is far from unnatural. People have always had to work. Working full time in a "boring office job" is much, much better than how most humans lived for most of history. Yet I still don't believe you actually do this. What we're talking about here are very male-heavy circles. Anythings possible though. And on the other point about RP, these kinds of guys are not who girls want to bang, regardless. So even if some hot girls like to talk to them, it would be what other people call "friendzoning". RP is for guys who no longer want to be that guy.

Its a bunch of general rules. RP is much more defined. You can technically call any set of ideas an ideology, but BP isn't an organized one. Even the term itself was created by TRPers as a catch-all term for people lacking RP ideas.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 03:02 PM

Lol, frankly I don't believe you. At the very least you're using the girl definition of "shy guy".

Very true. And libertarians are disproportionately more on the spectrum than many other beliefs, which is in and of itself more associated with men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:46 PM

In this tiny little sphere of the internet, you will see that. Thats it. In no way is it a popular opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:44 PM

I think it's more to do with dominion. Having dominion over the girl. Power and control. Yes as I discussed elsewhere that kind of psychology is something girls love. But I wasn't really talking about why people like or dislike anal, but why people here like talking about it so much. Fortunately my bf doesn't seem overly interested in discussing things. He's more action oriented And yet most girls say they want guys more open... ha!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:43 PM
2

Yeah but thats another point isn't it. Getting noticed means a likely chance of getting shit on. Hence why RP is so obsessed with talking about risk taking. Guys who want to sleep with hot girls must learn to get used to the bitchiness. Its a perfect example of how a shit test isn't necessarily conscious on the girl's part. Whether you're trying to or not, you're filtering out the shy from the brave.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:38 PM
2

Well, guys who are shy and never say anything sometimes get bitched at, but usually they are just ignored entirely. I'm not sure if that is an improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:28 PM
1

Thats bull. Anal is one act that people on here love to obsess over (just as much as a lot of TRPers). There are tons of other things people might be interested in. Anal is just what bloops like to choose because it makes the guy seem like the "bad guy".
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/17 02:26 PM

BP isn't a single philosophy, its the default beliefs held by most people in the West. Its just a lack of RP. Thats what this whole debate is, whether or not RP is valid, justified, etc.

Biology agrees with him. When shit goes down, men are expected to get hurt and die first. Always. Men dying is less sad than women dying. Making fun of men based on their sex is fine, doing the same for women is horrible. This is just how we are as a species. We have our roles.

Once Marxism is in place and disputes keep coming up and collectives cannot be bothered to gather in order to vote on resolutions for every single one, eventually some guy (probably somebody well-liked) will be seen as the de-facto dispute resolver. After a few years he will handle the punishments as well. And a few years after that he will start digging graves, and minorities will be the first up against the wall. Gay people, trans people, they'll be the first to go.

like the man is literally so far in the upper percentile of human attractiveness that he does it for a living Hes got a nice face, but the shirt will just never look bad on a muscled body like that. The muscles are a choice that most people can make. that guys face does more for women than his arms do That is true in general, but fashion doesn't change your face either. A nice body will make you more attractive, it will make your face seem less bad. So will fashion. Beats gym beast in a T-shirt …

They don't respond to his message That is your opinion, that is not my observation. When he started the whole "clean your room" thing, people actually started doing that. When he said that before you try to fix the world, try fixing yourself, his viewers overwhelmingly supported that message and many are taking that quite seriously. Problem is, they also hate each other almost as much I haven't seen it. I think the "hardcore traditionalists" don't even exist (perhaps in extremely small numbers),…

should stop going on about how men and women are utterly different creatures What you've done is taken a hyperbolic statement and presented it as representative of one major side. there are differences but they are both cosmetic and trivial compared to what we have in common The differences are not that insignificant. Those differences have significant effects on the world. People die quite regularly as a result of the differences between men and women.

The 6 pack in cargo shorts n crocks wont get nothing stood next to the man with the ironed shirt, pants and shoes that look more expensive than your fist car. I think that depends on how the second guy's body looks. If you've got a fantastic body I don't think crocks are going to turn women off. And obviously wearing the worst clothes possible isn't a good idea either. the easiest way to get hotter is to get clothes that fit right and don't look horrible. In my opinion, if you look good naked, you'll look good in anything (as long as it isn't loose). A guy with a nice body will do great in a t-shirt and jeans.

Women's attraction is weaker and less stable than men's Its not necessarily weaker, it is just tied to different variables and men understandably really have trouble coming to terms with this. I have trouble coming to terms with this. But if you hit those variables, a woman can get absolutely glued to you. I've experienced it, it definitely feels good. And I think a woman can feel sexual desire more powerful than a mans, it just exists specifically for her man and over a shorter period of time.

Because women typically like manliness, especially in the bedroom. Hence they have fantasies of a strong, beautiful man aggressively and passionately taking them, owning them in the moment, feeling his power and dominance, etc. If there is one thing I never believed until I lost my virginity, is how much of a woman's arousal revolves around strength and power. Yes. You are again dodging my question. You haven't addressed it once, you're just shifting the discussion around to avoid it. Why start a discussion if you don't actually care about things that might change your view? You are giving her a ton of benefit here in terms of sarcasm, because you are already on her side.

So if you read that article except it wasn't about men but about Jews, you would say "oh they are just being sarcastic, no issue here"? Do you think that is how mostly people would interpret it? The whole article is written in such a way to display a clear distaste for men. Viewing them as powerful, and women as victims. If that article was written about other groups of people I'd bet good money you would not be giving them the same benefit of the doubt.

They should go track down the feminists who are saying those statements and argue with them. The last thing those feminists want is a debate. They're kind of obsessed with preventing them. I don't think Hollywood started having more bodybuilder types because of an increase in the popularity of the sport, but because it looks good, it really stands out. Long hair is neither here nor there Maybe A big ass is neither here nor there either. Gigantic? No. But I would be very, very surprised if there wasn't a very deep biological component for the love of a round, firm ass that sticks out a bit as opposed to a pancake ass. I don't know anybody who prefers the latter. Same …

Its not like a man will stay with a woman no matter what, even in the most extreme circumstances. But I disagree that men and women are equally transactional. I don't think even you believe that completely, because men and women typically have several very different dealbreakers. Also, you're missing another point about love and attraction. The woman not wanting kids isn't making her unattractive, just practically not the best choice for the man who wants kids. There are fewer ways for a woman t…

Women won't need you financially and they won't be desperate to have kids before they hit 35. Women will also look younger than any decade that's gone before as they age, due to cosmetic advances, staying out of the sun and the continuation of ovarian function. This doesn't seem like a problem that is restricted to 35-40 year old men. This implies that trying to look for an LTR at any age is going to get worse. Which I kind of agree with. We are going in the direction of Japan. For me, its not e…

Where do you get that from? Simple. They have more options. Their attraction is less dependent on just your basic personality and looks and includes more of your financial future, how others see you, how entertaining you are, how much of a leader you are, etc. So there are just a lot more ways to turn a woman's love off. The higher SMV the woman, the more you have to always be moving, always be awesome, or the love will die. None of this is implying that men are perfect. There are just fewer pos…

And all of these things will be even better if the means of production belong to everyone. You will not get to that point without a free market, because nobody is going to do the work or take the risks if they can live comfortably off the communal pile. And I'm sure businesses will run really well when every single decision has to be made by unanimous vote. I'm really looking forward to that. The takeaway here, is that fundamentally, what most animals are seeking out sexually is not some "ideal" set of genes. But rather, a set of genes that is extremely different from their own I don't see how that argument follows. Natural selection, including the evolution of the brain, passes on whatever works, not what works best. It could be that just having two separate sexes was enough of a defense to pass on our genes, and our biological sexual desires are truly only concerned with passing on…

But somehow most TRPers were part of the bottom 10% that never knew those things The fitness aspect was not the thing TRPers were confused about and you know it. No, its not really the value I got from TRP. None of the stuff I got out of TRP was the self-improvement aspect. I was lifting for years before I ever heard of TRP. Perhaps you're thinking of introverts (I hate that concept). Shyness is social anxiety, it is fundamentally a fear of being judged by others. When you have it for long enough you develop very deep negative physical responses to social interaction. When I was at my worst I would rapidly begin to panic when I walked into a crowded room. since you do have women friends it would be easier for you to find love. Thats not how it works. Women who enjoy friendship with you think of you as completely harmless. I know this from experience. In high school I would sleep over in girls bedrooms, just me and a bunch of girls, and nobody batted an eye because I might as well have been gay. When you are seen as a possible romantic option, there is more "distance".
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 07:48 AM

Making friends isn't that difficult. Its mostly about being in the same place at the same time with the same group of people. Hence why everybody finds making friends in school so easy. With girls its even better because they don't have a very high barrier to entry for friendship.

Exactly. As long as it doesn't appear to be for the sake of attracting women. When girls see a guy online consciously working to make himself more appealing to women, they feel repulsed. Women are disgusted because of a very deep fear of being "fooled" into getting with a guy who didn't come out of the womb with a six pack and charisma. Even when girls consciously understand that charisma and fitness and professional success are things that grow and develop over a man's life, they still see it a…

It sounds like there's an issue with the manosphere then, not the internals of self-improvement. If women don't approve, it must be wrong. This is why the manosphere exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 02:53 AM

men tend to blame women and take their frustrations out on women more often than women take their frustrations out on men. Most girls and guys after a breakup say "she was crazy" and "he was a douchebag" after the fact. I'm not sure how gendered that is. Girls typically have a much better support structure, full of people who will also say "he was a douchebag".

For men, anything can set it off, and it never, ever shuts down. Men who say they aren't "obsessed" are correct, it has nothing to do with being obsessed. We all tune it out but its always there. And the accused is still viewed as guilty seeing as the school permitted the victim to continuously defame him, and the media helped fuel it for a long time as well. Oh and Nungesser's lawsuit against the school has been dismissed multiple times now. They don't have as many "peak attractive" people because they are all moving towards the mean. I don't think you can set an age of consent without it being arbitrary, because there is no perfect time where each person is "mature" enough. But I don't think a teacher having sex with a 15 year old is rape by default, its only rape if the student didn't consent (i.e. it would have also been rape if they were 18). Recipe for being boring and basic af. I don't get how. If you're attractive to a lot of people it means that you have more access to high value people than somebody who is only attractive to a small group of people. The "one" who really loves you for who "you" are is not going to be very high value. For example, most girls have quite a few men in their lives who would love them "for who they are". But those men are lame betas.

its very usual for people to be in a relationship and neither of them need or want control Its not about need or want. Think about the extreme example: if theres a girl who is absolutely addicted to you, who you believe would actually kill herself if you broke up with her, you probably don't want that kind of control, but you still have that power nonetheless. Lol I'm fine, I have been dealing with it my whole life and right now is not as horrible as it was a few years ago, but it is still pretty bad. being that man and faking being that man are very obvious to a lot of women Yes. I'll ask you a basic question. Do you think somebody with personality A who wants personality B, could read about the characteristics of personality B, and practice personality B on people until it became his "natural self"? Because if you observe a man who doesn't really "get it" yet and really is putting on an act, obviously its going to be blatant and unattractive. Its like they say, you're only doing it right wh…

I think this is an actual AWALT thing. The nature of the "entertainment" might be different, but girls just don't want a "boring" guy. If you relax and just kind of enjoy yourself and don't make plans to go out and do things, even very introverted girls will start to get bored of you. That wont always mean leaving, sometimes it will just mean reduced sexual attraction, more irritability, etc.

Depends on what you mean. You realize using skin care products preventatively when you are young is actually a bad idea? The key to long lasting skin is to stay out of the sun, especially before you are 18, and to wear strong sunscreen when you do go outside. Anything that claims to make you look younger or reverse aging is a lie. In fact, creams and serums that claim to smooth wrinkles can actually make things worse. Your skin has a finite amount of elasticity, if you're putting things on which…

If you cannot fucking figure out "enthusiastic consent" without a hand holding guide you are officially too dumb to fuck and need to remove yourself from the gene pool. We weren't the people who started pushing enthusiastic ongoing consent as the standard. Most people don't find it all that difficult to not rape. Body language isn't hard to read. Most men hit the wall between 35 and 40 Most people hit the wall before that Many people hit the wall when they were 12. People who are fat and ugly and never change will always be past "the wall". But if you define the wall by what people are capable of instead of what most people are, then men hit the wall a bit further along than 40.

The expectation is on men to guide the conversation, to "be interesting". Hence the discrepancy in the number of successful male and female comedians.

RP peddles the illusion that men "age like wine" while all around us we see that's not the case Men and women who don't exercise almost always age badly. Men in their late 40's who were quite fit starting in their 20's continue to look great, in general. Most people don't take care of themselves, so yeah of course what most of us see is people getting uglier rather quickly. A lot of them are married at that point and just kind of gave up on health and fitness. Also, most men should be getting on…
