OMG I HATED that song. I thought it was absolutely terrible. Peak scrote.

Girls Like You by Maroon 5. The whole song is about a toxic relationship and the scrote needing a girl them to keep them alive. Lyrics for reference: "Maybe it's 6:45 Maybe I'm barely alive Maybe you've taken my shit for the last time, yeah" The depravity.

Ugh. I firmly believe that this song was a true turning point for male depravity. I mean, they were bad before, but from that moment on with the release of the song they then made it COOL to be a complete asshole. And liar. Even with all the proof laid out. Just...ugh.

I would agree. I think it is a great vetting tool-- but I would wait a while.

I love this. I would suggest getting to the root of your issues (they often are from childhood). Those will show you how the pains and traumas of childhood are now manifesting in your interactions today. I would also strongly suggest getting a therapist for this year as it would really benefit you as you go through this journey- and make sure it's the RIGHT therapist for you. Lastly, get some really good books. One i would suggest would be "Whole Again" by Jason Mackenzie

Thank you. Sometimes it is hard-- and embarrassing to see just how damaged you were. BUt I do have to remind myself, that was me THEN, and not now. Keep it all in perspective and forgive myself.

You are so right, opening up is the only way to begin healing. I hope you get a chance to relieve yourself of the shame as well. We both have done the best we can in any and all situations.

Thank you so so much. I definitely will be working on celebrating myself now. I have made it through so much and am so much better today than I was yesterday- that deserves to be celebrated. And I am so so glad to know you as a survivor. Keep thriving. <3

Thank you so much. I am saving your comment and will be working on this this year. You are right, it is the same blade and honestly I am tired of allowing myself to be cut up. It is time for acceptance and to stand in truth and free of shame.

I completely agree with you. And I am so glad that your church supported you! So many churches do not and then women are stuck in the exact same situation that you described. This sentence: People cannot transfer their goodness to another person, nor their loyalty, love, effort, faithfulness, or compassion. It should be broadcast far and wide in the church. It would help so many people.

I would agree, which is the saddest part. I dont know her well enough to reach out to her, but I wish that I could shake her and tell her she deserves SO much better. The religious aspect of it coupled with the burden of being a mother of 3 kids under 4 I fear is a huge contribution to her blinders and willingness to stay with this man.

I think she was scared bc she put "so much time" into the relationship and at the time she was 29 which meant she would have to "start all over". Basically your typical BS of an extreme pickmiesha. So instead of looking at the dumpster fire of a man she was with she focused blame on the "spiteful woman who was just trying to ruin his life with HIS baby" ....just trash all around

Oh yeah. He definitely started dating my friend while he knew the other girl was pregnant and then he just failed to tell her anything until the courts came knocking. Even then, he dodged taking a paternity test for THREE MONTHS until they were going to garnish his wages and then he relented. He said that he didnt want anything to do with the baby if it was his, BUT he changed his tune when he saw how much he would have to pay in child support, so now he splits custody bc he is that much of an a…

My ex-best friend had this happen to her. She was dating a man for two years. Living with him and then out he had a 1.5 year old child when he was slapped with a paternity suite threatening to garnish his wages if he didnt submit to a DNA test. Instead of being disgusted by his lying trash a** she blamed the woman, stuck by him and from what I just saw married him. Yes, she resides in the pickmiesha hall of fame.

He would only eat from certain forks. When we moved in together we blended silverware + got some random silverware from our parents. Everything was silver, but he would ONLY eat from certain forks. If all those forks were dirty (there were like 4 of them) and I gave him one of the "others" he would shake his head and say "Come on, you know I don't like this fork" and literally go and WASH the dirty fork so he could use it. It was the most bizarre thing ever. Shocker that he ended up being a comp…

OMG....my ex husband did this. I think I just NOW realized this is a sign of ED. WTF. Edit: My mind is seriously blown ya'll.....like....WTF!?!?!?

To me your internal reflects in your external. I too used to be very messy. It took me entering and exiting an abusive relationship with a LVM for me to realize that I actually was depressed and anxiety ridden through my childhood due to my narc father & grandmother. Now that I have done the self work, I am much more organized and clean. In fact, most times my place is spotless. And when it isnt and things get cluttered and messy (which does happen honestly about once a month) I have to sit …

I am so proud of you. So immensely proud. If you need any help with your resume-- especially regarding those gaps, please DM me. I write resumes and I would love to help another sister get into the life she DESERVES. And don't worry-- I would do it completely pro-bono. For me it's just satisfying to help another sister level up.

OKay, so I don't want to be a debbie downer, but my ex did this, and he was horrible. He was a wonderful man in terms of doing things for me. Always had surprises. Always planned cute dates. Made cute breakfasts. Planned surprise parties for me. Always did cute shit. But he could never keep a job and would verbally and emotionally abuse me. Every time he was threatened by anything (real or perceived-aka a threat to his ego) he would turn on me like a wolf on a sheep. It was this constant "ho…

That's why I personally have a rule that if I am going to procreate- if I spend 10 months growing the baby, and then had the trauma of birth,- the first year of the baby's life is handled by the father. I rest for that year since he rested in the 10 months I was growing the baby (+2 months for birth pain).

Exactly. My ex didn't cheat on me (I dont think) but he didnt treat me at all the way I deserved to be treated. I was the primary breadwinner, I cooked, cleaned, did damn near everything and it STIll wasnt enough. Why? Because HE was a trash man, that's why.
