Men often will say that they steer clear from divorced women. They write plays, movies and tv shows centering around how problematic they are to push the narrative that there is something wrong with them and they are to be avoided. But do you want to know the truth? The truth is that a woman divorced sends out a signal.

A signal that they have boundaries.

A signal that they know their worth and will not lower it for "the sake of marriage"

A signal that they know what they will and will not tolerate-- and when faced with a less than ideal situation will choose themselves.

A signal that they most likely have seen all the games, abuse and dark side of men, and now know better (hence they are harder to manipulate).

A signal that they have recognized their brilliance.

A signal that they are no longer afraid of their power and know without uncertainty that they can not only survive, but also thrive. They trust themselves.

Divorce is a strong signal to men of an empowered and amazing woman...and for LVM and NVM men that is the worst thing in the world. LVM and NVM men thrive off of weakness and insecurity. They thrive off women who will sacrifice themselves for "the sanctity of marriage". This is why when they rarely do go for divorced women, they often do it when they are at their weakest (ex: right before the divorce is finalized or RIGHT after the divorce).

I say all this to say, ladies, if you are divorced 1) Take your time to heal. Truly. Once you do you will be a force to be reckoned with. 2) if you are divorced and healed-- know that you are better, stronger, wiser and a LVM/NVM's worst nightmare. Congratulations, you are living the dream. ❤️
