Great post. Sounds really easy when you summarize it like that, but it takes practice guys!

IF you decide you want to pay as a gentleman, make sure it is clear that it shouldn't be expected all the time. Something like, "will you let me treat you JUST THIS ONCE and pay?"

TL;DW Forget everything you know or thought you knew about dating. It is wrong and you need to come into pick-up with an open mind. Grand romantic gestures don't work when trying to pick-up girls initially. They might help re-enforce a girl's attraction to you once you're already a thing, but not before that. Attraction is an emotional response, not a logical response. You cannot qualify yourself to a girl and persuade her that you are logically right for her. She is either emotionally attracted…

This should be in /r/askseddit You get her number almost immediately without any real connection. Not a great sign to start. Then you really botch the chance when she says, "you are so funny" you could have said, "i'm even funnier in person". Be direct, propose a time/place and ask her out.

Maybe just wear them when it is sunny out? You're over thinking it dude. Personally, I think it is mostly fine but I would tend to remove them so I can make direct eye contact with the girl when we are vibing. Put them back on before you have to leave.

Reading all these success stories has probably skewed reality for you a bit. Go out one night, not to hit on girls but to observe other guys. Notice how many of them are AFC's and not approaching and not picking up women. Most dudes aren't getting laid regularly and a lot probably have longer dry spells than you. Seriously, get over your situation. You aren't unique. There is not such thing as "bad luck".

Self-reflection is always good. Don't be discouraged because of your age. It is never too late to work on self improvement.

I'll address the question as it relates to hand placement. Just keep in mind that making out is foreplay to sex, and as with any sex partner, some guys will like certain things more than others. So, for example, I love it when a girl puts her hand(s) on the back of my neck and caresses my ears. I also enjoy it when they put their hands on my chest. If you're standing up while making out, the waist or ass is another place you can put your hands. Best advice I can give: keep practicing.

Thanks James very insightful as always. Love your style. You are extremely articulate about your words, even while explaining to your viewers.

Happy for your success and enlightenment. Just understand that life doesn't have an on/off switch. You must keep working if you want to maintain. Don't think you've been laid once now you're good for a long time. Keep working to always be a better you tomorrow than you were the day before.

Even in my junior and senior years I always had at least one general course with a large enough lecture where I could talk to a new girl every week. Psychology, economics, etc. You are using your major as an excuse man. There are literally women everywhere on a college campus unless you are going to some super small private engineering school.

Make a good first impression. Wear some decent clothes and use all of your manners. Don't swear or tell any vulgar jokes. Tell them what you're doing with your life and your goals for the future. If she takes you to their house for dinner, bring a small gift like a bottle of wine or flowers. Otherwise you can always offer to take them out to dinner (depending on how serious you are about this girl).

Things can go from good to bad very quickly just like they can go from bad to good very quickly. Two sides to every coin man. Keep your head up. Keep improving your self and be patient. It is all a matter of perspective. Be grateful that you have these things to worry about and be depressed about. Some people will never get the chance to experience true love in their entire life.

Focus on the future. We all stumble and have set backs, and always will. It's how you overcome those obstacles and move forward that shows your strength. You learned more about yourself and your body and have nothing to be ashamed of. People have all kinds of weird and embarrassing medical issues that you would never guess from looking at them. The human body is a fragile vessel. There's no reason it needs to come up unless you're with a girl who sees the scar. By then, who cares, you're probabl…

Just a follow up. When you were doing approaches at the college campus, were you a student there? From your story it sounds like you were out of school and in the workforce. How did the girls respond to that? Were you worried at all about getting a girlfriend who would be graduating and moving away in 1-3 years? I'm living in a college town now but I'm 26 and work full time and I struggle with the idea of approaching 21-22 year old girls.

Most of the time I sit there and look around at all the souls, wonder who they are, what their story is. sonder.

I agree with this. I am an engineering major but when the topic comes up I usually say my second passion is psychology (I really am interested in it and take classes on it) and most people can relate. The human brain is fascinating and the way we perceive the world is a topic almost anyone can get excited about.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
