I believe there are 2 major reasons for this. The first is that some guys meet a girl in high school or early college and end up marrying them. I’ve noticed that women’s bodies and looks in general start to deteriorate faster than men’s do. This often isn’t their fault and is just hormones doing their thing. Some of it is personal behaviour (drinking wine all the time, eating fast food, etc) I am 27, and there are multiple girls I know who were really good looking from 19-23 but aren’t as good l…

Ended up going alone and VERY happy I did. If I had of taken her, everything would have been weird. Instead everything was very chill and a great weekend. Thank you for your thoughts!

A little update: went alone, had a blast, really glad I didn't take anyone. Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

I would delete the app but not your account. Only post every once in a while, and only post about interesting life events (weddings, birthdays, trips, etc). Just download the app, post the pic, see who likes it, and then delete the app again. That way you can keep a presence on there without mindlessly scrolling through it everyday. Just my thought.

I agree but I’ve already told him that there will be a plus one (I assumed it would be the girl I was dating) but now it’s just a free seat no?

I have found that the only girls who this doesn’t work as well on is Christian girls. The ideal guy for them may have different characteristics. However - even Christian girls, no matter what their values, have biological frameworks that date back generations, and those biological tendencies have no bias toward any specific values system.

Like anything else in life, the first time you do something your body freaks out. Whether it’s driving a car, skating, or even walking. When you took your first steps you probably fell. Now you walk and it’s second nature to you. The more you approach girls the less stressful it will become. Once your brain realizes that you didn’t die because of taking this risk, it will begin to learn the new skill like any other without much anxiety behind it.

Also most of the things on that list are much milder than the things he’s said about men. And I’m not surprised many women still support him he’s doing good things for the economy. Unemployment for women is down as it is for all demographics. There are many conservative women in America that like what he’s doing. Anyways. Would rather you attempted to answer my original question instead of go into TDS mode.

I agree with taking care of yourself and dressing well, but here’s something I’ve noticed with a lot of guys— they all look the same. Every single dude at the bar seems to have the same faded haircut, the same stubble, the same shirt, and on and on. When you look the same as every other dude, you start to look “average”. There’s nothing wrong with being average, but when it comes to game and picking up girls, in my experience it is being UNIQUE that intrigues girls. Let me give you an example. I…

Say “I’m from out of town. Visiting a friend for the weekend.” Maybe make it known that you are here this weekend and this weekend only. It’s one shot or not. I feel your pain. I live outside in the burbs right now as I moved back in with rents after graduating.

Doctor may or may not help. Often times they will put you on medication right away and send you on your way. This MIGHT make things worse. However, I am not an expert and I would advise seeing someone have it be a doctor or psychologist.

Remember, many of the most successful people on earth had periods of extreme darkness. This is a very normal thing and is not unique to you. It will pass with time. Go buy "12 Rules for Life" by Jordan Peterson. Message anytime if you need.

Interesting. Good points. What percentage of the girls at a club do you think are there because they’re hoping they meet dude who will possibly take them home?

Thanks for that advice... I will see what happens. One thing about this situation is that she’s ALWAYS working out with her friend. She’s really never just there alone working out. Does this change things at all?

These types are concentrated on college campuses, and thus get a lot of attention. However, they do not represent the country at large. If you want to see the beliefs of the country at large, take a look at the electoral map Trump v Clinton in 2016. There's a lot of red in the middle. That's the pushback against all the crap you listed.

We can learn a lot from this President. What I've noticed about him from all the way back to the 80's to his Presidency is that when he speaks, he says everything with so much confidence, regardless of its validity. Thus- he is extremely persuasive. He is also plainspoken and does not attempt to speak over his audience. He mirrors his audience. If you want to learn more about Trumps use of language and persuasion look up Scott Adams of Dilbert fame. He has a blog, posts periscopes all the time, …

Hey man. I have had to deal with one of my parents for the last year or so...I know how awful it can be. Here's my advice (it is not professional advice so please take it just as my opinion) If I were you, I would first of all try and cut out the things that are NOT helping you (weed and alcohol) Someone with depression needs to be feeding their body only good things. Its hard enough dealing with these things without throwing them into the mix. I know its easier said than done, but cut down thos…

He started with 1 mill. If he put that money in an index fund, he would be as rich, BUT without the physical buildings he created, the jobs he provided, and the brand name that made him President. You overlooked these minor details.

Tell me-- did his twitter rants help or hurt him when he was able to single handedly defeat 16 well experienced political opponents and then win the Presidency when nobody said he could. Its effective. If it weren't effective, he wouldn't be where he is.

Hey man...I understand what you're going through. There is some good advice here about going to the gym, getting bigger, etc. However, the best way to handle this is to change your MINDSET. Find friends worth hanging around with (they are out there). Dedicate yourself to self improvement...yes that means lifting weights, but it also means doing as well as you can possibly do in school. Don't worry about what people think of you...if you do well in school and get stronger both mentally and physic…

You're making the mistake of thinking rich people like Trump or Musk are motivated by money alone. If you read Trumps books and listen to his interviews in the past, he talks a lot about how money doesn't matter, he likes "the game". He likes coming out on top against all odds. In Trumps case, I think he was genuinely frustrated by how he saw the USA being run. That combined with the fact that he may have been getting somewhat bored with what he was doing, so he decided, why not? If you had a bi…

None of these comments are helpful really. I have been in somewhat the same predicament. It won't last forever. I would say start small. Don't try and conquer all of these things at once. Try waking up a little earlier each day. Workout as much as you can- it will give your mind something else to occupy itself. Hang around with friends on weekends. This helps me. It gets me out of any funk that I'm in. It gets you socializing and again takes your mind off of whatever mental issues you are facing…

Trumps appeal goes much deeper than policy. When everyone is apologizing for their wealth and success, he is proud of it. When everyone is afraid of offending someone, he speaks his mind. When everyone is worried what people think about him, he doesn't care. The reason a lot of us on this sub support him is because he embodies what it means to be a confident man. Its true that his positions are popular among the electorate, but his connection with his supporters goes far beyond that. It is visce…

I don't see any beta behavior in Trump at all. What you see as overly sensitive, I see as a man punching back. Nothing beta about responding to critics. He knows that if he does not defend himself, he will get eaten. Trump looks at life like the animal kingdom...and guess who was the last Lion standing in November?

It seems you have this sense that you are behind. But really you're not. You're only in 1st year University! There is plenty of time to improve. Some of the most successful people on the planet had setbacks and never really became successful until they were 30, 40 even 50 years old. Start living in the NOW. Do what you can in the NOW to improve. Forget the Past, forget the future, just focus on what you can do now. You will make it out of this rut, you have friends here to help.

I know the feeling. Same deal here in Canada. Although I do have tons of friends who love Trump. HOWEVER, keep in mind that BREXIT PASSED IN THE UK!!! You are not the only one who wants strong borders. What I think happens is a lot of the people who like Trump, or who agree with his politics are shutting up and keeping quiet because they feel its socially unacceptable to voice that opinion. You are getting a false sampling...only the people who hate Trump are vocalizing it, while the people who …
