This goes to show why you always have one foot out the door. Good on you for walking away.

It's totally a red flag, a huge glaring one. I wish I could agree it was only men. My mother had this attitude to pets and when my cat was with her due to COVID, she sold my baby (cat) behind my back last year and I only found out this year. I do agree its mostly men though.

I'm gonna be honest. I'm 99% sure that one of the reasons she wants to quit is this dope doesn't help out around the house. She also probably knows that he won't help out if she works again. Just going by the statistics on mental load and uneven workload. Judging by his answer being all about him. I don't think I'm too far off the mark here.

On certain things, public opinion can. On engrained, structural issues, like the monarchy simply intrinsically representing racism and classism, it can't. I think it's also unlikely public opinion could alter the racist views held by the members of the royal family: some are older, the younger ones have been marinated in it...it's just part of who they intrinsically are. If they weren't, they would have to renounce their titles, and everything that came with them. Not disagreeing here. However p…

None of us have any control over what the monarchy, who are our oppressors too, do, though. It'd take a revolution to change that. Public opinion can and does sway their actions. That aside, the UK does need to be called out for many things and I'll always appreciate when that happens regardless who it's from. Besides that, it's a bit rich from someone who voluntarily married a fancy dress Nazi. Even if he wasn't a Prince -which establishes he's a racist scumbag anyway-, there is absolutely no l…

Personally I love this. Knowing I don't do words helps. Physical touch is more cuddles than anything, I've been with plenty of cuddle-allergic dudes and ladies. Having someone that matches there isn't about sex. I find it useful honestly but I can also see how it can be used to exploit relationships. Like everything it's not going to work if anyone comes to the table with abusive and dishonest intentions.

Ever heard the phrase "the personal is the political?" I'm drawn into discussions whether I like it or not based on how I look. Being quiet in day to day life benefits white people not me. Calling them out makes them think twice about doing it to another person and more than that, it's a question of dignity. From experience, staying quiet allows them to push your boundaries and you can't block and delete people in real life. My silence benefits white people not me.

Oh I'm not Irish. I just live here. Technically am as a citizen but it's really just a piece of paper. I'm Indian. This post is ridiculously tone deaf to those of us who have suffered at the hands of the British.

Being one of those colonized POC myself, I appreciate the UK all getting a lecture. Honestly, it's not hard to see the racism in how she's being treated, but I'm not here to debate racism with white people.

Yeah... not a big fan of the Monarchy. South Asian and I live in Ireland. Maybe others feel differently but I feel this is the same thing used to silence Megan Markle. White people would really love POC not to complain or explain. It makes their life easier.

Scrote manipulation aside, I found it extremely handy in understanding why I didn't mesh with some people too well. Words are bottom for me, 3 points. I can say them so no problem making someone happy but they don't really connect. I ended up with a lot of words type people that weren't too fond of physical touch, which really bugged me. Physical touch and recieving gifts are my top two, draw equally at 7 points. I just think it's similar to how when a scrote goes to therapy they use the therapy…

I changed my name to his. My maiden name was long, unpronounceable by most and tied to my biological father I wanted nothing to do with. Because it's so distinctive and my biological father stalks me (and I have no court order) I didn't want him to know I married or to harass us. He loved his father and had a good relationship with him. His name meant more to him than mine did to me, plus I wanted a shorter last name. I also thought it was beautiful and I wanted it (but it is a French surname). …

When people ask, “When are you going to have kids?” they can’t handle your freedom. If a woman is tied down with a bunch of kids, she can’t make too much trouble. They want you to be on their level, but don’t have the courage to say it. Men admit it when they check out and leave. I wish we had an FDS hall of fame for quotes. This is so on point and so true.

You're absolutely right. I have dated a good few men that don't watch porn (including my husband) for various reasons (like finding it unethical, creepy, gross, unrealistic etc to name reasons I've been given over the years). They're out there and scrotes are trying to gaslight you into settling for less.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/21 07:47 AM

Yup! They're examples of what patterns can occur when the conflict styles are mismatched. I'll be doing a bigger post on this at some stage!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/21 07:18 AM

That's emotional abuse and not really what I'm talking about here. This refers to healthy conflict. Even if people engage in healthy conflict they can still have incompatible conflict styles and I was wondering how people vet for those, to make sure that who they're with have healthy styles.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/21 07:17 AM
4

I can understand that, especially if you have a matching attachment style. I had difficulty with all types except secure personally though I found I tended to stay with anxious types the longest (not a good thing). I find many people are validators and they object to how I argue. Suppose its worth noting conflict style influences affection. Your LVX sounds like he used unhealthy tactics like criticism, contempt, stonewalling etc. They call that the four horsemen.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/05/21 07:56 PM
1

What were your conflict styles? Out of curiousity.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/05/21 02:21 PM
3

Aye that's it alright. For example someone who is conflict avoidant in their style might consider an issue not worth arguing about, whereas a volatile style person will try to persuade their partner. Mismatched styles cause issues for both partners. You got it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/05/21 02:20 PM
2

Conflict styles refer to healthy patterns that occur in good faith. Someone that doesn't argue in good faith shouldn't be considered without question.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/05/21 02:18 PM
3

Speaking as someone with a volatile style I don't think it's a good idea. Volatile/Validating leads to Hostile/Detached. I'll do a bigger post on this later at some stage and let you know when it's up.

Never seen it. I don't recommend looking at that channel it's very upsetting (he uses a lot of technical terms and that conveys authority. Even if you know the golden ratio is bullshit it can still get to you). His whole business is on image consultancy and faces are a part of it. Terrible channel.

It is hard to find someone who takes responsibility to begin with absolutely, I've had a hard time finding that too. (Same with attachment styles)

My god, the mere idea makes me tired 😅 2 hours? Yeah it's necessary unfortunately. I have ADHD and it makes it difficult for me to masturbate too since I have to concentrate on sensations and stay focused. Even using a clitoral suction toy can take me a long time. (Often two or more). Its a quirk of mine I've accepted and learned to work with. The penetration is always meh Sounds like thats just a quirk of yours too. Attachment style is a question of paying attention to their behaviour and how it meshes with yours, but identifying your own attachment style is paramount first. As for conflict style assuming he doesn't do anything unhealthy or defensive, refer to the article above and compare yourself to it as well. Try to self examine and find out what you would personally prefer in an argument or relationship.

The article I linked in my OP refers to healthy conflict. In terms of unhealthy conflict there's DARVO (been discussed many times on this forum) and there are the four horseman like below. https://www.gottman.com/blog/the-four-horsemen-recognizing-criticism-contempt-defensiveness-and-stonewalling/ In my OP I'm not asking about abusive or gaslighting behaviour, I'm asking whether people vet for compatible conflict styles. You're absolutely right. However it'a not just Billie Eilish who feeds it. On youtube there's a popular channel called Qoves Image Consultants. He dissects and breaks faces down to explain what makes them ugly or attractive. It made me very insecure for a while. Even contouring is suspicious in my view.

But men don't pay attention to her. I suspect you may not be fully aroused because men don't pay attention to your clit or do foreplay without putting pressure on you. Also considering 75 percent of women experience pain it sounds like you've been conditioned by men to have negative experiences towards penises. For me personally, I need about two hours of oral sex (my husband enjoys it and doesn't pressure me), lots of foreplay and only then is penetration fun. If men treat you like a fleshlight…

Just a suggestion. It would be nice to have an FDS friendly stuff to discuss sex and sexual stuff. All the other sex related subs are libfem trash, and I'd feel safer discussing issues in a female only space. Being in a committed relationship won't change issues like healing from sexual assault, physical issues like endometriosis etc.. it would just be nice to have a space for this.

Oh! Thats not what conflict styles are. Everyone has a conflict style. Either Validating, Conflict Avoidant or Volatile. Healthy couples treat each other with respect and have a match in style, Volatile with Volatile, Validating with Validating etc. Unhealthy dynamics occur when two people have a mismatched conflict style. For example a Validating person with a Volatile will feel flooded and the Volatile person will feel shut down. Conflict styles also affect how much intimacy a couple shares to…

I'm sorry to hear you struggle with depression, I had it for a number of years myself, before developing what I have now. Ignoring everything isn't a symptom of ADHD. That's disrespect, usually rooted in misogyny. I have it too and trancing out doesn't work like that, it's intermittent. So you can be listening and then suddenly the person is somewhere else in the conversation. It may or may not be socially acceptable to ask them to repeat. Interruptions are genuinely difficult for us, usually because we do forget what we're about to say/what you're saying. But pointing out "random shit" isn't part of that. If we in…

Why is this normalized? Because listening to women isn't considered important. If a man doesn't read/listen to what I'm actually saying (or anyone for that matter) I'm gone quick. For women I usually find if you repeat yourself it does go in eventually, but I limit interactions with those women in the future. The only time I waive this is if the person has a learning disorder like dyslexia or ADHD.

Tbf I live in a country where circumcision is very rare and most men do in fact know how to clean their junk. Great thoughts, I really appreciate it. It also got me thinking: Adding on to this the phenomenon of white women using their tears to get woc in trouble with management is one way they've sort of learned to "hack" (partially) this phenomenon. White women are more likely to be seen by any white men (or even men of colour) as the madonna, while woc are usually seen as the troublemaking whore and scrotes use it as an opportunity to white-knight against WoC on behalf of the Madonna. There is a specific caretaker/caretakee pattern that occurs with codependence and although that pattern CAN and very often does occur in emotional fusion it's not the only outcome of emotional fusion. This isn't your fault, its his. You did the right thing by cutting him off. Now you have the rest of your life to enjoy yourself without him.

Oh he knows what he's doing. Honestly looks like he's trying to appeal to your percieved (by him) "cool girl" image and snag attention or sex from you. "These ooother women are so high maintenance and expect sooo much not like you, you're not like other girls." He probably expects you'll respond to validate him or console him and then he might have a chance to rekindle the situationship. BLOCK AND DELETE.

Yeah, I've always trained myself but the laws are iffy as hell here. You have to be very very careful not to escalate or be the aggressor in anyway or you're fucked. It keeps normal people in check and gives an edge to all the junkies unfortunately.

I wish I could grow long nails. I'm a pianist, my nail shape is hideous and no matter what I do they always break! Even if I could grow them I can't! Keep your nails fabulous for me pls!

Not looking to get into a giant debate about this since that wasn't my goal in originally posting, (Though I am aware of the research you're talking about, and I have particular issues with their methodolgy) but for the sake of other women who may read your comment I'm going to recommend a few resources. https://elemental.medium.com/what-makes-women-strong-2c927bf286ef This is a good analysis (well cited etc) of how women actually stack up compaired to men and the other factors that influence la…

I wish it was commonplace in society to tell stories of strong women overcoming abusive men. Maybe things would be different if young girls had these role models to look up to and the cautionary stories of abusive behaviour to warn them.

Absolutely. It also isn't likely to succeed either if you think about all the bad influences they'll be exposed to as a teen, like peer pressure, friends, media, even pick-mes. Its a bit fatalist but to some extent you're fighting a losing battle on that front.

Truly one of the most fascinating and chilling things I have ever read. Extremely thought provoking. It made me realize something as well. PsyOPs have changed in the social media era to some extent. Consider that extremist groups like Neo Nazis and ISIS use social media to rally and to recruit those who are young. A parallel can be drawn with men who seek who out minors or groom children into fighting for the enemy so to speak. (Using social media as a way to brainwash and groom.) Gamergate too …

You're absolutely right about that. A VPN doesn't hurt either or a secure email if you link the account to email for recovery! It can be tricky to scrub the metadata from a file sometimes so always remember to check the metadata with another device!

Dating to be "happy" allows a LVM to string you along as a forever girlfriend with no expectations. Happy is such a nebulous word that a sufficiently nasty scrote can gaslight you into being his bangmaid for a decade and still retain the ability to play the market. Dating to marry allows you to develop a game plan for the future. What you will and won't put up with in a husband. How long you plan to see him in the trial period before calling it quits. There's nothing wrong with visualizing a fut…

Eh. I don't know about that. A HVM that's invested in you and commited to you beats out a dozen LVM/NVM scrotes any day. EDIT: Just to add to that. Most men are misogynistic LVM at best. They don't and never will "admire" you for the simple fact they don't see women as human beings, they see them as objects. Forever girlfriends and bangmaids at best. This isn't the best article on it, but many of the men who responded either didn't have female heroes or named their wife or daughter. There were s…

Expressing quiet (but obvious) displeasure around men is one thing that I've found fun and freeing. I can't change them and I don't have time for a tirade of mansplaining. I express obvious signs of boredom like looking away and replying with solely "uhuh" in a monotone voice. They pick up on it after a few minutes and leave. Not a yes or anything affirmative I must stress, otherwise it can come off as listening to them.
