Then I can say for sure that I wouldn't. I don't see the benefit. Edit: rather I don't see it as a necessary or important so I wouldn't bother.

Well, the father of said hypothetical son would have influence on this decision. The "likely" is accounting for that variable.

Because we can have a hard enough time getting off without the mutilation! I kid, I kid. Honnestly it is hard to understand because it is an accepted social norm, and people are quick to assume that, because it's normal it must be okay. Also, not having a penis, I find it difficult to fully understand most things directly related to penis function. That being said, I likely won't have any sons of mine circumcised.

The same reasons men are violent, most likely.

Look, all I was trying to say is that the comic strip itself is not devoid of logic. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean the other side is being completely illogical. The cartoonist says it's unfair to blame the pay gap strictly on procreation. Not that women should be paid more for less (which they shouldn't). As per your options: I know I could not be a stay-at-home mom. It is not in my nature. I would love a man willing to at least go dutch on the whole child-rearing thing. If he reall…

But the cartoonist is simply stating that "women leave for kids" is to him, not a valid argument for explaining the pay gap, because it assumed that women, and only women do the child rearing, which is not always the case nor the only option.

Kilts are indeed awesome. I (a straight woman) find them very attractive on men. It saddens me that they aren't more popular on this side of the pond :(

After reading the article I looked up the video and... Dear lord these guys just don't get it at all. Like apologizing for shit you didn't even do is actually going to fix anything ಠ_ಠ

That's nice and all, but I don't see it as an oppression/sexism issue. War veterans should receive assistance in returning to a normal job and life. So yes I can see why your grandmother didn't mind that she got looked over for that pharmacy job. If you think about it, this situation is not really sexist (or about gender at all), just incidentally so because at the time women were not by and large allowed in the army.

It's cool. Clearly it was just a matter of misinterpretation on my part. It happens, when all you have to go on is text.

I found your original comment to be patronizing, and it irked me quite a bit. the re-wording of it comes off much better. More "let's be reasonable and constructive" as opposed to "don't say something stupid".

The only way to become more confident in social situations is to throw yourself into them (sucks but true). The more you talk to people the more you realize it isn't all that hard, and you stop fearing them so much. Inner confidence is all about knowing that you are awesome, and not caring if anyone else happens to realize that. If they don't, it's them who lose, not you. So it's always a good thing to remind yourself of all your awesome manly qualities and to hell with the flaws. Sure you have …

It's important to just take what's out there with a grain of salt. There is a fair amount of bullshit being thrown around, but that can be said about any type of self-help theory. Take what you want, what works for you; and to hell with the rest of it.

That makes sense, I'm just trying to point out that kino is not exactly the trump card some of you guys seem to think it is. It's not a bad thing. Hell, even I use Kino when I flirt. I'm just trying to say that less is more, generally speaking.

Just to give another girl's perspective, kino that is more intimate than just a high-five or a pat on the shoulder is...well it makes some of us uncomforable (I say some because there is no way I could possibly speak for the whole gender). I have never appreciated a guy I just met touching the small of my back (for example), not even if I actually found him attractive. It puts me on edge, because I'm not used to people invading my personal space like that; especially people I don't know well. On…

Great icebreaker I'm sure. Not universal though. Lots of women don't go all googley-eyed over dogs. Like me, for example.

Well for starters you probably should have stopped calling her Princess. Clearly it made her uncomfortable. Why? I have no idea. There's a million possible reasons. I don't know what you should do next really, I am no expert on this subject (still learning the God damn acronyms) but I can tell you that whatever you do, don't call her a princess ever again. It doesn't matter what you meant by it, she doesn't find it flattering.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
