A friend of mine was just telling me about how she got hit on while waiting at the bus stop today. The guy came up to her, and said;

"Hi. I don't normally do this but you are really pretty. Can I give you a ride somewhere?"

Never do this. It doesn't matter if your intentions are entirely noble, if you offer a complete stranger a ride you're going to set off some major red flags. It comes off as more serial rapist than knight in shining armor (a sad commentary about today's society, but I digress).

I realize that to many of you it is quite obvious that this is not the best approach (for more reasons than the one I mentioned). I only brought it up on the off chance that someone might be considering trying something like this. Just don't.
