I mean I still don't think you deserved to be downvoted. You weren't rude or aggressive, you didn't say 'Oh well she was probably out of your league, betabux' or anything like that, you simply asked the question, which was perfectly reasonable. In fact I'm glad you asked. In this situation though im not sure it was a beta/alpha thing, it just seems like she lost interest and I'm not quite sure why.

This is a good point - there's always more shit you can talk about. I could have shifted the conversation on to books or whatever. I think I just need to sort of mentally prepare more topics so that I am better equipped to keep a conversation going in these situations.

I am not sure why you were downvoted - I upvoted you. It's a reasonable question. IMHO she was well within my league. Judging by her body language and the way we were communicating we genuinely connected, and she found me attractive enough at least to initiate a conversation (by asking for a pen when she already had one). So either I lost because she already had a boyfriend and felt that it would be inappropriate/there was no need to ask for my details, or because I tailed off in terms of the co…

I don't know if you're supporting AA or not, but its the worst thing to happen to colleges. Especially for Native Americans (because it leaves them out entirely) and for Asians (because it leaves them out and keeps their university numbers lower).
