You'll drive yourself crazy if you worry about what's being said about you. Knowing who YOU are is all that counts. Plenty smearing of names goes on after divorce. Don't allow that shit head space!

I love the way you mention the peace you felt by staying calm. Great comment.

The feelings of jealousy are very common in a new relationship after divorce. You've already lost one partner in your divorce and it's common to feel insecure, not wanting to lose a second love. It's easier to project than reflect. I had many relationships after my divorce and always worried about my partners previous relationships, or even possibly ongoing ones while I was with them. Perhaps my insecurity stemmed from the fact that my ex had an affair that ended our marriage. That did lead me t…

That is actually what I am doing, choosing to be around people who love me and living the best life I can. I hate family gatherings due to the fact that they have their offspring and grandchildren with them and I feel empty. So I choose not to attend family get togethers and rather stick with a few close friends.

They all moved, last I heard. I have no idea where they live. My youngest daughter is a School teacher and the oldest is a nursing Sister on Cruise ships. A few years back, I went to the school to drop off a gift at reception for my youngest's birthday, respecting that she didn't want to see me. I never heard anything.

There is definitely something else going on. I have shared all that I am aware of. My ex's boyfriend is very wealthy. She had an affair behind his back which I found out about from a lady friend of mine. That happened to be around 10 years back. I suspect that maybe she is going all out to stop them seeing me in case I reveal knowing about her affair. I would never do that, as it is none of my business, but SHE doesn't know that. She has a very powerful influence over them even at 32 and 29.

The sad thing is that true or false, nobody has been willing to give me time to talk or express myself

I have shared all I know but since my "friend" sent his message everything changed.

I lent a "friend" of mine a second bike I had. At the same time this transpired, he sent me a message saying : "I hope your girls never talk to you again and why don't you just commit suicide so that the world can be a better place without you?" That's when things changed in relationship. After sending his final message to me, he blocked me and disappeared with my bike. I learned later on that he had tried a move on my late wife before we married

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
