I also felt this same way when I was a younger girl. I wasn’t religious but wore a ring similar to a promise ring, because I made myself a promise not to have sex until I felt ready. It served me very well, I eventually came to the idea that I would wait until I was 18 and then reassess. I did wait until I was 18, I had been with my boyfriend for awhile I knew I was ready. I felt strongly that he was “the one” and I figured that even if something did happen, I was very comfortable with him, I kn…

I would also state why. If I tell my Captain that something he is doing is making my life harder he listens and stops. I would explain it like I don’t like it when you spit in the bathroom sink in the morning and then elaborate, it’s harder to clean after, etc. and see what his solution is. It lets him understand and solve the problem this way.

I grew up mostly homeless. I was living on my own by the time I was 16. My mom was also an alcoholic. I feel for you. Personally, I think the best strategy is to not necessarily bring it up but let it come up. I wouldn’t plan to have a sit down conversation about how your childhood was, but instead let it come up naturally. When he asks questions, answer honestly. That’s being vulnerable in this situation. As a whole, I think the best form of being vulnerable with a man (captain or new relations…

I actually planned part of our Valentine’s Day date! We normally don’t do much, which I didn’t mind in previous years, but this year we both were given the day off by our employer. I mentioned I wanted to do something but I wasn’t sure what. Then my boss was telling me about a super cool speakeasy that’s tucked away and you have to text a phone number to get reservations. He’s been a couple times and loves it, and I just knew my boyfriend would like it. I asked my Captain if I could surprise him…

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Set some goals, start small. You can bounce back from anything.

A green anole! A very small little guy. My partner wanted to name his Ernie originally but now is wondering if he really looks like an Ernie. I want to post pictures but I’m waiting until we have the tank all set up

Right now his name is Ernie but now he’s wondering if he looks like an Ernie. I’ll post pictures later! I had a “pet” (farm animal that my dad led me to believe was my pet) pig growing up. He was so sweet, just like a good dog. They bite sometimes though! But if we ever had big property I would get one again. We have chickens now, they’re also so sweet.

Try to do something physical outside every day, even if it’s just taking a little bitty walk Keep track of how many times I STFU or otherwise control my crazy bitch mode in stressful situations vs how often I don’t (I plan on keeping a journal specifically to track this) Calorie count every single thing I put in my mouth to keep myself from bored eating Keep the laundry and dishes 100% put away Create a swear jar Stop eating out unless my Captain is the one saying let’s eat out Several things bu…

It’s about really embracing femininity in a traditional sense. Maintaining a great relationship with your partner, taking care of traditionally feminine roles, and embracing what makes us woman. The best part about this community is we are not one size fits all, we don’t all share the same beliefs, but the drive to become a better woman, wife, mother etc leads us here. You should read our wiki and a book or two! I would definitely suggest The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
