I understood your point just fine. Again, it comes down to presenting themselves better than they actually are; a pretty common human behavior at the end of the day. I agree with this, it's not what I wanted him to explain though. The 'kids have it worst in the west' part is what baffles me. I would be seriously impressed if anyone could rationally defend that position. No. Evidence is something that corroborates with a certain proposition or something that supports another piece of evidence so that the two things combined make for a better, stronger case. Proof is something that undeniably, and in itself attests to the veracity of a certain proposition. So proof is generally considered to be the ultimate 'form' of evidence.
