Agree with your post but not the title. Yes, many guys on reddit need to take active steps toward getting laid. But they should still not pedestalize women, and should still realize there's more to life than women.

If this were a wedding party, birthday party, or normal house party, then I could understand bringing a plus-one without asking. But in this case it was not worth the risk. You need to give sincere in-person and written apologies to your direct supervisor and also to the HR woman you had a row with.

Agreed. With regard to whether a junior employee can or cannot plus-one at a company event, C level execs don't have a dog in that fight. They're not going to tell your spouse/girlfriend to leave because the execs don't care enough about the issue to do anything. Realistically they are all going to go along with whatever HR says, simply because HR is the only party here that actually cares about the outcome. HR is going to ask that you be reprimanded and potentially short-listed for firing, and …

Right, I agree she will be more likely to stick around if you neg later on when it is proven that she is already attracted to you. What I see in practice are guys who neg right when they approach, before they've built any rapport with the woman. You've articulated well why it doesn't work

I do agree with you on most points. Negs, shit test defense, etc. can come down to a bit of verbal gymnastics. Not a lot of guys are witty and subtle enough to hit the balance right. Whereas "showing" confidence through action is simpler. Almost any guy, with coaching, could learn to not take shit from women and to not treat women as if they are above him. The verbal back-and-forth is more of an art, and no man should be quick to label himself a pick-up artist

Before dishing out for a boot camp, try reading and applying Models. If that doesn't work, try to go out a few times with a friend who is good with girls, which will cost about 50 bucks in drinks. Only when you've exhausted going it alone and have zero guys to wing with would I consider paying for a boot camp

Why don't we call it "teasing" instead? Negging derives from "negative" so its connotations to a lot of guys will be the wrong ones

I just hope the message is helpful. Without negging overuse, not only would the guys have more success but the girls might also be more pleasant and more open to being approached. This "competition" might not even be zero sum.

Any adult who openly ridicules you for approaching them in a public bar/club is immature and should be embarrassed. Nearby men who ridicule you will be trying to prop up their own paltry self-esteem. Women who respond this way to a respectful approach are demonstrating a lack of class, tact, and decency. In both cases this is a negative reflection on them, not you, and therefore you should try to understand that your fear is not rational.

Can't agree with absolute "do not wear X" statements. Personally I don't wear baseball caps but some guys do it right. Back in his Senate days I remember spotting Obama on the beach with a White Sox cap on looking fly, apparently having missed your memo.

Don't let me discourage you from wearing a favorite scarf, especially if it was a gift. I love the feel of a scarf as much as the next guy. When it comes to seduction, though, I fear the scarf has gone the way of the fedora. It's a too-easy means of differentiation that too many inexperienced guys have used to try to look classy. In a sense the bad scarf-wearers have ruined it for the true afficionados, and so sadly "scarf guys" may ping women's creep-o-meters.

Button downs: will go out on a limb and discourage them. Too many guys have the un-tucked button down with jeans. But tucking doesn't look so great either. That's why I trend to knits like sweaters and long sleeve polos. Caveat: button downs with wool slacks, as if you just left the office, are a slam dunk. Glasses: discouraged. A barrier between you and women that makes dancing and initiating a kiss more awkward. You could also lose or break them while drinking, which would suck Facial hair: a …

For earrings and everything else I said I wouldn't wear, I concede that there are guys who pull them off well. I'll qualify that my advice is for beginners who are at risk of seeming try-hard if they accessorize.

I've found that it is best to err on the conservative side with my accessories. If you want a shortcut for standing out, I'd just try to up your game with basic clothes. Better quality tailored suits and jackets, high end jeans that fit, good quality shoes, and replacing tee shirts with long-sleeve polos or cashmere sweaters. When I'm out I may be wearing boots, jeans and a polo, much like the other guys. But English-made Crockett & Jones boots, Italian-made Kiton pullover, and Japanese raw deni…

I think the workout videos like Insanity and p90x are too extreme. Those workouts are really difficult, and if they injure you, you'll be worse off than when you started. I've never read Mark Manson, but if he suggests doing core lifts like bench press, squat, dead lifts, it's because they are the most efficient way to get bigger and look better with minimal time. For the purposes of seduction, cardiovascular fitness probably doesn't help. The at home DVDs are great for cardio because you're con…

What you're saying is of course true. The "I'm too short / ugly" brigade has always fixated on things they can't change because that removes personal responsibility from the equation.

Bars at very nice hotels are escort magnets. Don't be like the old guys buying them 20 dollar drinks. I'd try smaller and Art Deco style hotels along Collins for happy hour deals (broadly 4p to 8p). There is a bit going on in Mid-beach and North Beach. Those areas have some hidden gems. The Brickell neighborhood is fun as well, if not exactly SoBe

I always start with a little eye contact. If they return it in a friendly way, I say hello. And then I work from there. My track record in Miami is as follows: have spent 5 weekends there with friends. Slept with 1+ girl on each visit except for the first visit. 2 of the girls at hotel bars before 10pm. 2 in exercise classes (yoga and spinning). 1 along the beach just chilling - she was from Venezuela and was traveling alone. Don't underestimate what a challenging environment you are in, but don…

Ehh.. Miami Beach is a very difficult place to game. Kudos to you for even trying. The most accessible thing in Miami is day game. Chatting up girls at coffee shops, exercise classes, afternoon happy hours. Don't roll into the club at night and try to compete with the guys dropping $10 grand on bottle service. It's a fool's errand because the girls will have their guard up.

I think the fact that you balance A) work, B) school, C) 3 days at the gym and potentially D) a billiards league is very commendable. Achieving an extravagant lifestyle (backpacking Asia, extreme sports, etc.) may not be achievable yet, but you're doing the best you can with your resources.

When you meet a girl, is she really capable of inferring your total value to society? Absolutely not. At best she puts together a guess. While social value is very important, I'm not sure that you're measuring it properly. Being a loner in itself doesn't mean that you have low social value. A loner could still be charismatic when he chooses to go out into the world. Or the loner could be a great talent at something socially valuable, like composing or brain surgery or software development. I wou…

This is just an easy excuse for them to reject you. Girls, including prime 18-22 year old girls, are very willing to sleep with men your age. But if they're not attracted to you then citing the age gap is an easy way out of it. Your best shot is likely 21-23 year old girls. You get the benefit of being older but it's not too awkward of a difference.

She certainly knows much about dating men, but let's remember that writing an article is a fairly intellectual exercise. Sexual desire is the basest and least intellectual exercise I can think of. In the context of the article a "mistake" is anything that makes her life less comfortable. Men who can seduce women know that building attraction often does involve making the women feel a bit uncomfortable. A cornerstone observation of PUA is that women often mistreat men who do what they claim to wa…

How to ask girls to hook up: you don't ask this directly How to ask girls for their number: "Could you type in your number here for me? Thanks"

If he's an attractive guy that's fun to talk to, then I could see the bunny slippers potentially breaking the ice with girls. Much easier to approach when you have a built-in conversation starter. But a guy who can pick up women with bunny slippers could probably also do it with any other footwear. This would end disastrously for people who are still developing their skills (that is, myself and most others on this sub).
