Fuck. I am feeling the full wrath of this. WFH doesn't make it easier. I am planning on making social interactions a priority from tomorrow onwards so that I won't feel freaked out when someone random chats me up for more than 5 minutes about useless topics. It's been a stifling experience, and I am gonna get rid of it at once.

Today I felt like dying and I looked up to the sky and just said, "God, please". Nothing else. I've been through a lot of tough times and situations and I know that things could be way worse than they're now, and that's been my only beacon of hope to live another day. I did realize one thing though. Nobody wants to kill themselves, they just want to be find one damn reason to smile and be grateful.

It's hubris that you believe that the science we have discovered so far settles the debate. As far as we know, the world doesn't operate under Aristotelian logic of true/false, but also includes the concept of undecidability. The most precise scientific theory, of quantum mechanics actually demonstrates this third logical possibility in the real world. It's far from settling the debate but nonetheless, an interesting hole to exploit. You can argue that you didn't choose to be born into the circu…

For new lifters reading this: Don't be naive and lift heavy the first day of your gym. Build up slowly with stabilization exercises and discover what muscles you have first before attempting any exercise if you wanna stay injury free.

Stoicism offers a practical approach. You must understand that there are infinitely more forces that are not under your control and will impact you in someway. Yet you possess the ability to gap your emotions. You can meditate and turn off your suffering at any time you wish. But hardly are we ever so patient. Uncertainty and shit happens, regret is for pussies. To be a man, you must first conquer yourself before you conquer anything else.

This is the general idea I get from someone I endear, and his name is Osho. I was hearing one of his talks yesterday where he mentions how we as humans are never satisfied with anything. We are always chasing a goal and postponing our happiness till we reach that goal, whether it be a job/house/woman etc. This is lack mentality. You are basically robbing yourself of this moment in anticipation for a better future and that's no less of a crime than it is to cause another being suffering. No good …

That is where I agree with you. Being on nofap for a month taught me how insanely difficult it is to go against my biological programming. But give us a few more hundred years and I bet you earth will only be home to robots ;)

There might be some error on your analysis though I don't completely disqualify what you've stated. Women, if they have evolved with times and a portion of them have surely did, realize that they can support themselves in the modern world. They can overcome their baser instincts that courts the attention of a man and such women are increasingly found in western societies and the eastern societies/developing nations are catching up. Men too, have realized that women are available everywhere and t…

Become hyper aware of your thoughts and eliminate all the self sabotaging ones. I know what depression does to you and its not pretty. I've been stuck at home for the past year and I'm studying hard and as much as I can before I overcome my imposter syndrome and start applying for real jobs. It takes inner strength above everything.

Unsubstantiated claim my arse. Consciousness has no evolutionary advantage you say? Stop vaccinating your kids then and watch them die because that's what consciousness gave us, cognitive skills to understand more complex problems than identifying the color of fruit on the opposite tree. Consciousness is a direct consequence of evolution. Evolutionary biologists give a very convincing theory about consciousness and you might be interested in knowing than humans were abolished from treetops by st…

Reality doesn't exist to make you personally happy. Get over it. Use your consciousness to acknowledge that life plays out however it should and there's nothing you can predict so basically it's all just a game. A game that's meant to be played. Consider chess. Surely it's computable but no sensible computer would ever be able to compute all of its different variations. This makes the game worthy of playing. You can always expect a different result. Same with life, the rules are predetermined bu…

In physics there are already interactions known which are not 100% predictable which leave room for sth like consciousness and free will. Free will? No. Free will as you and I experience are the perceptions formed by a very small and modern part of the human brain. Every action you do has been predetermined and preprocessed by the laws of physics and your subconscious brain which has way more processing power than your cognitive parts. Quantum states are unpredictable but their evolution is comp…

Consciousness only comes along for the ride, what you do has already been processed by your subconscious brain before your neo cortex can form a perception of it.

While the double slit problem seems to point at unpredictability, you can never completely free an experiment from environmental disturbances and that places a practical limit on our know-ability of fundamental truths. At the same time, it is this very feature of quantum physics that created the first fluctuations in matter density just after the big bang that gave rise to structures like galaxies and the everything within them. These microscopic fluctuations set the foundations on which every e…

These women are honestly expressing their femininity which was always to depend on men for survival. I don't get why "men" on TRP would be hating on this, Bunch of wankers.

People live their lives mostly in a hypnotized state . What you point out, most men and me too, have felt that after a while of being a loser, you just find hot women hot and don't translate that desire into your body language. This disharmony between what your body feels and mind thinks can easily be picked up on by women as they are very sensitive creatures.

Look, I couldn't read the whole thing but coming from a science background and researching more about myself has led me to believe that subconscious reprogramming is a real thing w/ real consequences on one's outcome of life. One of the hardest things I've found is to maintain a positive outlook in challenging situations. Surely I have gotten better but the subconscious feelings of inferiority, doubt and anxiety still linger. I don't think one could do away with those except he starts hypnotizin…

I'll tell you my story that goes a bit similar. In my quest to become a stronger version of myself, I too realised that I had to cut off myself from mindlessy gaming hours at a stretch and so I stopped. Right now the only thing you should do and this is what I'm doing too is focusing on how to maximize your income. The cancers happen with the strains of hpv that don't cause warts, are extremely rare, and need the host to be immunosuppressed. With a good immune system it's rare to get that

I think most TRP'ers have realised the existence of the male hamster as something that stops them from keeping the improvement machine running. I have had bouts of anxiety where I was completely paralysed by my own mind so much that I'd stop going out/working out etc. The key to overcome this is first acknowledge the existence of the hamster. If you don't you're only lying to yourself and prolonging your misery. The second step is to become mindful of the hamster when it throws negative attitude…

Also epigenetics are gene controls that have real demonstrable gene expression changing ability in response to change. The human body is very adaptable. It iis the mind that breaks first before the body.

Developing mental strength is often neglected in pursuit of physical and financial prowess. This is why meditation is necessary and should be part of a day to day lifestyle of an awakened man. Shit tests can come from anywhere, your woman or the world. He must see them for what they are and then act righteously as allowed by his highest capacity.

I understand. But it's not voodoo magic. In fact all hypnosis is self hypnosis as said by hypnotherapists themselves. It has a real measurable response on the immune system and nervous system. Read research papers in psychoneuroimmunology to convince the skeptic in you.

Hypnosis is an effective way to deal with chronic pain. Please read up some genuine material and try youtube for self hypnosis. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I've personally benefited from hypnosis for my chronic neck pain.

This could be a trp post in itself. You've nailed all the points correctly and part of every rp'd indian knows that the vast literature on here talks exclusively for free minded societies aka west. And tinder here is as good as toilet paper: Indians don't use it.

Indian women prefer foreigners because they smell/see hypergamy. You'll stand out in the crowd and have a beginning advantage. I don't see many downsides besides they're not usually very open and that the general public is basically a giant cockblocking feminist.

When west developed science it was enforced through education. We forgot to do the second part correctly here regarding ancient knowledge. The whole point of yoga was to awaken kundalini aka sexual energy.

It's a risk like I mentioned. So you have to be careful in choosing and study your target before going for the approach. If she has high social value, she can and will use it as leverage and you're left at her mercy. Total devastation unless you're already a pro gamer.

I've had the EXACT thing happen to me in the past. Except that we weren't married or with kids. She was self diagnosed BPD with social anxiety and she'd pick up fights with me for things I said 8 months ago. Nevertheless the relationship died and I'm a bit happy it did.

I was reading David Deida's Way of the Superior Man and in it he doesn't exactly reference shit tests but here's what he basically said about when women throw tantrums or get in a bad mood which I think is okay to say that it's comparable to a shit test. Anyway he asks the men to not analyse the situation but take charge of it. To sweep her off her feet and love her by physically pressing her against the wall. After she's softened up, can you safely do the "logical man talk" and come to a sensib…

If I approach someone who is with her friends and they(friends) start acting rude when I get the girl I'm talking to become interested, what do I do? Let's assume the friends are fat/ugly and are just jealous of the fact that their hot friend is getting all the attention and want to come up with excuses like "girls only" or pull her away from me while we're talking. What's the best strategy here?

Something I did today was meditating about worst case scenarios. Some people like to call it a pre-mortem. Basically yu sit and think about your worst case outcome in a relaxed/meditative state so that you don't freak out and put yourself on overdrive. Doing this will allow you to run a mental simulation before facing the real thing.

Reading this I'm reminded of my LDR ex girlfriend who played a similar trick on me and I acted in the wrong way and ended up losing her. Here's what happened: She would complain out of the blue how her social anxiety was unbearable and her friends had a groupchat without her and I thought she was genuinely distressed about it. We'd been for a year and I trusted her enough to believe that this was a problem not a tactic. So I ended up explaining to her how anxiety happens and how you can treat it…
