Unpopular opinion: most vegans aren't in ii bc of their love of animals. My one friend who is militantly vegan basically flinched anytime she's around a housepet-including my cat! Vegans I'd just a polite window dressing for serious eating disorders. There's a lot of negativity shown towards vegans here, but if you replace vegans with feminists and animals with women, you'll see similarities. E.g. many men say that feminists don't really care about equality but are just man-hating women, that th…

These documentaries about men treating women badly can be seen as entertainment but it also functions as a warning for women, so that is good. It teaches women to be on their guard and be careful.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 08:44 AM

I think if a man (or even a woman) is not spending money in their kids, that money will just go elsewhere. For example, if you don't have a kid, that $400k you would have spent on the kid may go towards e.g. travelling. So the economy is the same. In terms of parents being more likely to make society "as best as it can be" I find that hard to believe. Many people with kids for example do not care about the environment.

"modern" lifestyle of shitty degrees, shitty jobs, lots of leisure, very long education that doesn't pay off in the job market, awful mental health (which most "modern" people have) That's a unusual definition of "modern." The way I am defining traditional vs modern is that in a traditional family, they have kids, the woman stays at home, and a bigger house is needed because kids need more space. All these three things hurt your finances. If you have kids, you need to pay more. If the woman does…

Feminism did put the females into the workforce and therefore (supply and demand pricing) the value of labor had to fall. So the women did build their own chains. Overall wages may have fallen but women's wages rose. They went from earning nothing to earning a wage, so how are they suddenly chained? It seems they are better off.

most women admit that careers and work is overrated and too stressful, they would rather stay home and have babies...thats the ones that were lucky enough to have a family in time, others were lonely cat ladies... go figure It's easy for a woman stop working and stay at home and look after her family. It's not easy the other way around i.e. for a woman to go back into work after staying at home for so long.

Perhaps that's the answer. Traditionalism is inefficient because children are wasteful.

I had to literally laugh when this guy started talking about the ""traditional"" lifestyle of living in the suburbs, something that didn't become common at all until the mid 20th century. If we want to talk about typical American traditional family living, we need to envision some prairie woman living in a one room log cabin and churning butter all day while her husband and 2 sons (the 2 out of 6 children that didnt die of whooping cough) are plowing the fields. You make a good point, but when y…

No they were told that being financially dependent on a man is dangerous. Which is true It is extremely dangerous. Look at what happened to the woman below. The reason why money was printed is to prop up the property and stock markets because many people rely on these assets for retirement. Many families rely on these assets for retirement because the cost of a traditional lifestyle is expensive.

Not all women. Although I don't want to be with any man, there are many women who want to be with a man who accepts that she keeps her job or a man who helps with the housework. There are also many women who seek out men who don't want children.

Traditionalism has couples working as part of a team where men and women do tasks that they are better suited for or that would be a better use of their time. Men did the manual labor and heavy lifting and women did the cooking, cleaning and childcare. Is this really efficient for the woman though? If a woman is staying at home and making no money and relying on the man, what if he loses his job or becomes abusive? Look at this example of a woman who had five kids with a man and stayed at home a…

Furthermore it's far, far easier for a man making 200k to find a suitable partner making 0k, than it is for a man making 100k to find a suitable partner also making 100k. Keep in mind that in the US the median income is US$31k per year, so if we're expecting men to be earning $200k (or even just $100k) to live a traditional life, many people will not. But there are advantages. Two people making 100k provides some redundancy in case one person gets taken out. It's also the less risky route -- tra…

Alas, we need less people to do the work, which could possibly become a huge societal problem as more and more people become virtually unemployable. Indeed, this was a potential problem highlighted in the book "Four Futures." One of the scenarios is high tech and automation leads to huge joblessness, and in the same way that the rise of the automobile resulted in the death of millions of horses because they were no longer needed for transportation, so too robotics and automation could lead to th…

No but if there are fewer humans, would they necessarily consume more? E.g. if a pandemic were to kill 4 billion people and thereby halve the world population, would everyone's electricity use double?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 12:28 PM
11

No because capitalism needs more people to consume and produce. A lack of that can cause huge problems. It's why Japan and other countries with such issues get "desperate" trying to fix it. So basically have kids so they can serve business? It doesn't sound right to just procreate to supply more slaves. Also what problems are there in Japan? Why does capitalism need more and more consumption and production? Why not just let everything slow down?

Dolan, a professor of behavioural science at the London School of Economics, said that the latest evidence showed that our traditional measures of success, such as getting married and having babies, no longer correlate with our modern notions around happiness. As for men? It was quite the opposite. "Married people are happier than other population subgroups, but only when their spouse is in the room when they're asked how happy they are. When the spouse is not present: fucking miserable," he sai…

/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/21 08:39 AM

Before any man can distance himself from society, he needs to work so that he can save up enough to be able to retire, so while he is working, he is contributing to the economy. When he retires, he is also contributing to the economy by consuming. Marriage does nothing for the economy. It is working, investing, consuming etc that helps the economy.

It's the other way around. How does a woman benefit from a relationship with a man? I don't see any benefit at all. For example, it's hard for a woman to know if a man will become aggressive and rape her. Many men still put in a lot of effort to try to date and marry women. It would be good if they stopped.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 06:48 AM

I don't think this is too bad. Socialising takes up a lot of time, and I think many people are starting to realise the benefits of solitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 06:39 AM
13

Being single is not that bad. There are moments of loneliness, but many introverts like that, and they can always be with friends. As for poverty, a woman not focusing on a man can save a lot of money e.g. not needing to buy make-up and clothes to impress men.

It's easy to sell "more jobs!" it's hard to sell "more money given to families so a parent can stay home!". If government gives more money to parents, then where does this money come from? One way is to get women to work more so there is more tax revenue.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 06:27 AM
5

Feminism is about giving more options to women, so what is wrong with giving women the option to work? Many women want to work and don't want to be stay-at-home mothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 06:26 AM
2

I am not a homemaker nor do I aspire to be a homemaker at all, but I think the main danger is that the homemaker or stay-at-home wife has no job and is financially dependent on the man. This means that if he becomes violent and e.g. rapes her then she may have no choice but to stay with him if she is financially dependent on him, especially if she has a baby. This can be fixed by legalising what many man call "divorce rape" i.e. allowing the SAHM to take half or all of the man's assets and futur…

But if sex dolls are widely adopted in the west men will retain(or maybe even grow) thier value and instead they will value women less. So im more hopefull that women will adapt to us like we did to them, since women will still want men just as much in the future as they do now. Or perhaps women may just not bother with men? I think there is little that women get from men to want to be with them. This is quite well articulated in the post below. https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments…

So a guy who wants kids today should:.. Knock up some girl Pay your child support See your kid He has more choice, freedom and autonomy. Well arguably if this guy is paying child support, does he have more choice, freedom and autonomy? Let's say the child support payments mean he is living paycheck to paycheck and he cannot save. Yes definitely I enjoy living by myself and independently, so I would describe myself as WGTOW. I like to go around and spread the message about how great it is to live independently. I think many women wish they had heard about all the different options they have rather than conform to social norms, so I like to help make women aware of those options. I don't think it's true that men are logical and women are all about feelings. Look at the declining fertility rate. Having a baby is entirely a decision based on feelings or emotions, but the number of babies born is trending down. This means women are deciding to have fewer babies, so they are less beholden to maternal emotions nowadays and thinking more about eg the probability of divorce, career, investing, creating more options for themselves etc. Many men want to have kids so they are high…

The problem is that intimate relationships are not reliable, as the OP states. Divorce rates are high at about 40% whereas if you get a job, the money is reliable. We live in a capitalist world so money is important.

Sure there are women who want to marry rich men but there are many women who don't care. I personally don't care because I will not be having any kids. I am r/childfree. I think those who want kids value money a lot because kids are expensive. But many women and even many men want to be childfree, so there is little need to earn much of you are childfree because you can live a luxurious lifestyle off average salaries if you are a DINK or SINK.

I certainly don't complain about what men want. That's what is so great about being single. This is why I recommend women focus on their careers instead of marriage and kids.

I am fairly certain many women choose to be single because their partner is too dominant. This can lead to eg abuse. This is why I prefer to be single and childfree. If you are single then you have full control.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/21 10:37 AM

I say this to women all the time ie they should never get married and never have kids. Nothing harms women more than motherhood. It is better for a woman to focus on her career rather than marriage and kids. She has more choice, freedom and autonomy.

The works the other way around as well. Those not promiscuous look down on those who are. Just do what you want and forget about others. I disagree that promiscuity is necessarily harmful. Eg sex workers may be able to make a considerable amount of money from it.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 09:52 AM

Incels tend to lean right because incels want women to be traditional ie sex slaves for men. Nowadays feminism has given women more freedom and education and independence. Incels want a return to the traditional days when women didn't have as much freedom, education or independence, which means they stay at home and serve the man by satiating his sexual urges, doing all the cleaning, cooking etc. Basically a slave.

This is the thing with men. If you have lots of sex, they'll blame you for that. If you don't have any sex at all because you chose not to be associated with men, they'll try to shame you for not having had any sex. You can't win so it's best not to play. Hopefully more women will realise this.

I think it's important to look at the person on the other side, the woman being trafficked against her own will in order to get that porn made. In my opinion, it is like the argument vegans make which is that someone may get satisfaction from eating meat but there are a lot of livestock animals being ruthlessly slaughtered in abbatoirs and CAFOs with slaughterhouse workers taking their anger out on these animals because they can. If women want a certain type of relationship that bad they can either lower there standards to men in their relationship range or make themselves relationship quality and fix the reason the man dumped them. Their complaints are unjustified. Another viable option for the woman is to just not bother with men and be single for life.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 11:27 PM

Another explanation is that sex work actually gives you money but marrying a rich man doesn't guarantee you will get any money. He may keep it to himself. Even if you divorce, you don't know how successful you will be in family court.

Yes but when the woman is on maternity leave she is getting less pay and also being deprived of work experience and building skills. Surely that would affect her career trajectory not to mention lost earnings due to earning less. Then after the baby is born, someone needs to look after it. If the mother stays at work and manages to get the man to look after the baby, that would be fine, but typically that doesn't happen due to sexism.

Some women will admit to wanting resources from men and others won't. In my opinion, if a woman does not want children, she will not care about money as much. There are many r/childfree women who want to be with men and who are married but don't want children and if they don't want children, they free up time for themselves to work. Plus if they are childfree, they don't need as much money. Plus many women do have good careers and earn a lot and so they won't need money from men. So it all depen…

I don't think it's possible to really know whether someone is going to abuse you by living with them even for a long time. When you are dating and even living together as equals, you may have a job as well as so there is equal power. But once a woman has a child, she is on the back foot. She has less money and less power. Power has a tendency to corrupt people slowly. Once someone realises they have power over another then they take advantage of that. Look at the two million German women raped b…

Because the man as breadwinner and provider is commiting to paying. Children are expensive. If a woman has a child and raises the child, she will need money to raise the child. This may not be the case if a woman has a lot of money while she is of childbearing age but regardless it is likely she will lose a lot of money by raising children because she will sacrifice her career.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/20 09:07 AM

The two are related because if you have a child then if you are the one who stays home and looks after it, you need commitment from the other to provide while you look after the child. A child is very expensive. Therefore you need a commitment of funds. It seems to me the two are highly related. This is why I think it is best if women are sterilised. Women should get a tubal ligation and never have children. A childfree life is best for a woman.

I will add that there is nothing wrong with suppressing instinct. Suppression of instinct is a marker of success. A natural instinct in humans is binge eating. We evolved to binge eat because it increased the probability of survival, but today indulging in that instinct will increase risk of obesity and stroke. Similarly, maternal instinct is natural but in today's modern world, maternal instinct, if acted upon, makes you poorer and have less power, which makes you more vulnerable to rape and ab…

I think many women fear being open and honest about wanting resources from men, but the way I see it, there is nothing wrong with this. When we want higher salary from our jobs, it is not something that is looked down upon. When men are gold diggers at work, it is not looked down on. But my recommendation to fellow women is that relying on a man for money is lot worth it because that makes you financially dependent, which makes you open to abuse. It destroys your freedom.

I'm talking myself when I say I won't have children. Regarding other women, they may want to marry and have children, but if they look after the baby then this reduces their financial resources and power which makes them vulnerable to abuse, and divorce can help with that. That's what I'm saying.

Daycare wound help, in my opinion because the woman can work and earn her own money. This gives her more power. However daycare can be quite expensive so not everyone can afford it. It may be cheaper for a couple to have someone stay at home to look after the baby. You seem to believe that men are all inherently physically and sexually abusive unless we have some external consequence to restrain us. That's complete bunk. The statistics do show that there is a considerable amount of domestic violence against women. All crime require three things: means, motive and opportunity. Commitment definitely holds men back. A man should never monogamously commit in modern times. Can you explain why this is the case? Is it purely because of modern divorce laws? Assuming we don't have modern divorce laws, my argument for why women are disadvantaged through commitment is that she becomes dependent on the man for fianncial resources, which means there is a power difference. She has little power (because she doesn't work and make money) whereas the man has more power. A power differ…

What do you mean by "you need power to be a leader"? Do you mean men in relationships often don't have the power eg because of the threat of divorce?

I agree. I think r/wgtow works well for me and I agree relationships are a waste of time.

The way I see it, it is best to think of the legal concept of damages. When women go into a marriage there is an agreement whether written or unwritten and part of this agreement is that the man does not physically and sexually abuse her. For many women, this trust is violated and so the woman needs to terminate the contract ie with a divorce, and the division of assets are the damages paid out. Especially is the woman is a stay at home mother with a child, that women could have been earning mon…

What do you mean by "state violence"? The state is just enforcing a law. If the family court determines that a certain portion of the man's assets be given to the woman then it is just like any other enforcement of law eg a tax. Yes women don't need to get married. In fact, that is something I strongly recommend to women, that they don't get married and get tubal ligations to ensure they never have children. However, it is analogous to regulations that require people to wear a helmet while ridin…

Manosphereans blaming women for sleeping around is silly. Terpers sleep with multiple women, so to blame women is hypocritical. Terpers are pretty much all wrong. There is nothing in what they say that is logical in any way.

Newsflash, you don't need to be a billionaire, nor a multiple-hundred-millionaire to live. That's what makes your example so incredibly worthless, It's not about living. It is about evening the power imbalance. If you have a traditional relationship where the woman earns nothing but is a stay at home mother and looks after the baby vs a billionaire husband provider, then there is a power imblance. The problem with this power imbalance, as I've explained, is that there means the woman is vulnerab…

If a poor woman marries a billionaire and they have a baby and the woman looks after the baby, then this woman is in a very vulnerable position because she is financially dependent on the man. If the man decides to sexually and physically abuse the woman eg marital rape, then the woman is likely to tolerate being raped because of the child. If the woman resists the rape then there will be a divorce and she and the child gets nothing and is on the streets. But let's say she is entitled to half hi…

Courts often have discretion to throw prenups out, which is a good thing because there are times when someone agrees to them without legal advice. There are also times when prenup are oppressive eg if a man is a billionaire and the prenup would leave the woman with nothing and she is on the streets and a single mother if she divorced. If such prenups worked then this would allow many men to effectively rape women. A billionaire could marry a very poor woman who is desperate and needs money to ea…

Environmental damage hurts many but typically it is caused by the rich and affects the poor the most. Regardless, if both do not procreate, then this reduces the problem. If the poor do not procreate, they don't suffer as much. If the rich don't procreate, they don't pollute as much. The wealthy cause much more pollution than the poor. You mean per person? Sure I could see that. In total? Absolutely no way. I am not suggesting the poor should have children and the rich should not. The line betwe…

Population growth in Chad, Uganda, DR Congo, Pakistan is unsustainable. Population decline in South Korea, Spain, Italy, Japan, Canada, Norway, United States, China, Russia, Brazil is unsustainable. Yes indeed many countries have seen their fertility rate decline which is a good outcome! The problem is the decline is not happening fast enough. There are many who believe that at our current rate we will not be able to avoid catastrophic climate change, which will cause immense suffering on animals and humans in the future. https://www.reddit.com/r/environment/comments/ir62cc/joe_biden_announces_a_huge_renewable_plan_to/ There are too many people on this earth. As I commented elsewhere, countries don't exist. They are just invisible lines drawn on a map. We can find differences in fertility rates in different countries, states, cities and suburbs, but at the end of the day it is the overall figure of 7.8 billion people that matters. I think looking at wealth is more important because richer people tend to pollute even more than the poor, and richer people also use up more scarce natural resources.

They are, but those who create their own children use up resources that could have gone into helping these orphans, so that's a problem as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/20 10:56 AM

When I say the world is overpopulated, there are many ways overpopulation is harmful. For example, the environmental impact of overpopulation is an obvious one. More people means more pollution eg plastic pollution, more drinking bottles in the ocean, and more carbon emissions which causes climate change which destroys habitats causing animals and humans to suffer. The wealthy cause much more pollution than the poor.

I've got nothing against adoption. You are not creating any new people but taking care of someone who needs help. As for the idea that wealthy countries should have babies and not poor countries is wrong. A country is merely an invisible line drawn on a map by powerful people. It doesn't actually exist. You can find differences in fertility rate among countries but you can also find differences in fertility rate among suburbs or cities or different continents etc. But it doesn't matter because a…

That's fine is good for you if you want children in your home, but the world as a whole is pumping out more and more children causing great damage. There are already so many children on this earth who are in orphanages yet many people just want their own children who look like them, which is narcissistic and causes these children in orphanages to suffer. The damage to the world caused by overpopulation causes suffering on others. More people impose suffering on others and can suffer themselves. …

What I mean is that it is impossible to not harm others. Take porn for instance. Many people (men and women) consume porn and by doing so increase demand for porn. Higher demand leads to higher supply and this supply is so high it saturates society even ending up in the hands of little boys who when exposed to rape porn end up taking out their sexual aggression on little girls. Young girls trying to conform to social norms, ie trying to get a boyfriend, have to accommodate the porn addiction of …

This is the memes vs genes debate. People learn not just from thier parents but also from schools, friends and the internet. So you may have a child and teach it antinatalism and suddenly it becomes a natalist. You can teach natalism to children but when they grow up, contemplate the nature of reality, they may come to the conclusion that antinatalism is irrefutable. My understanding of oppression is when people coerce others. This comes naturally to people because we evolved to oppress and expl…

Gentle dominance? This still doesn't sound good. It is like "humane slaughter." This is why I belive that full female separatism is the answer. Women should be independent from men and never have children because motherhood is what makes women dependent on men, giving men and avenue they can channel their aggression.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/20 11:02 PM

Your problem is you're choosing to see the world as made up by countries. Countries are invisible lines drawn on a map by powerful people in order to mark their turf. Appeals to patriotism are often used to lure women, but these women are then sexually abused. Domestic violence is a pandemic right now especially during this pandemic. The solution is full female separatism. Young girls need to learn the truth about men. We must do everything we can to teach them.

Yes I agree. Aggression for instance is something I see in myself and also in others. It makes sense that aggression is an evolved trait as it increased the probability of survival. Aggression leads to oppression. This is why I believe that the most ethical thing you can do is to stop having children and encourage others to also never have children. We stop the aggression gene and all genes from being transmitted. It is so logical. See r/antinatalism.

That's what young boys watch. They are addicted to porn. This will make them sexually aggressive to little girls, which is a shame. So many girls and women out there will be victims of male aggression. I wish I could help them all. I try to warn them as much as possible but there is only so much I can do. Yeah I think the simple solution to this is to walk away from men. Men nowadays are 99% porn addicts and porn addiction is a drug and addiction that escalates from basic vanilla porn to hard stuff like rape porn. Young men nowadays especially grow up with constant porn consumption. Get a dog or cat, your own apartment, a sex toy, and enjoy your own company. Work hard, live frugally, save and invest, and use the money to shield yourself and isolate yourself from men. It's not a woman's fault that…

As a WGTOW, I would never put myself in a position where I am financially dependent on a man because that will make me captive to his aggression. Most women, it seems, just go with whatever men want.
