I don't think it's concious, but if I couldn't have provided something to my wife back then, she wouldn't have picked me from all the other guys. My whole life I thought about relationships from the concept of love. Learning about this law, really ruined my view and optimism of women…

Nothing you did for her before matters to her now. Briffault's law. It's over.

She cheated on me in the early dating phase with some ugly loser. Settled for me after 5 years of on-off relationship. 7 years in, she fell for another fat short hairy and balding idiot. But nothing happened! She just wanted friends!

I'm married. My wife wants to have a "sit down and talk" tonight, after I gray rocked for a couple of months. I feel like I lost my man card, my personality, my optimism, my humor, my friends, my hobbies, my time, my money, my freedom, my life to a person who doesn't find me attractive and doesn't appreciate much the stuff I did or still so for her. I was a gentle, loving, understanding boyfriend, I'm an engaged dad who loves his kids, a provider and a decent husband who up until 6 months ago st…

Considered au pair in marriage, wife (who complains daily how exausted she is) rejected it outright. We have 2 spare rooms. Said she wanted a male au pair to spite me, and the idea died there.
