Q4W: What would you do if your male friend or partner told you he had some manosphere beliefs? This is my brother too. I describe him as 'old school red pill'. He's definitely not anti-feminist though, nor does he hate women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/12/24 04:37 PM
What erotic/romantic novels or media (movies/videos/films) do women enjoy the most? Which authors or books do you prefer? If you watch porn which kind do you search for and why?Check out the RomanceBooks sub. I always find great recommendations on there. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/05/21 08:19 AM
Which is more appealing to you: a life of pleasure or a life of purpose?Aged 30. Female. I choose a life of purpose. If your pleasure comes hard earned, then it's more pleasurable when attained. Purpose is the stuff that gets you out of bed everyday. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/11/20 03:41 PM
Men go into tremendous detail to prove the wage gap is not real, yet overuse vague statistics for divorce stats against women. Why do you think the details for initiating divorce doesn't matter?Exactly. But marriage is good for men - they live longer and are healthier than their unmarried counterparts. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/11/20 10:00 AM
What would end a relationship?Samesies. Like, when you already do everything and ontop of doing everything, they want to add delegator and maker of lists to your workload. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/20 11:18 AM
Do men do better than women in isolation? It was awful! Kids need socialisation and engagement too, so when the schools closed it was so hard. I never had a moment to myself to play catch-up on chores or just to unwind. Honestly, I was so glad when I could go back to work. I can poop by myself at work. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/11/20 01:17 PM
Do men do better than women in isolation?I'm a woman and I hated isolation - but I wasn't isolating alone. I have a husband and two children (aged 3 and 5). I think I would've been infinitely happier if I were alone. Living in a permanently trashed house and trying to keep two little kids entertainment was hell on earth. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/11/20 12:56 PM
Women, how different you think your life would be if you were born as a man?I think there's a genetic component to my stuttering; my mam stutters too. Though, I have two brothers and they're both fluent. So maybe I would've dodged that bullet had I been born a man? I dunno. But I think for this exercise I'd assume I would stutter. I think stuttering shapes our personalities and I can't imagine myself without it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/20 09:20 AM
Women, how different you think your life would be if you were born as a man?Super unfair that stuttering disproportionately effects men too. You outnumber us like, 4 to 1 or something, right? Yeh I'm 30 now and just speak freely. I don't use any techniques or word substitutes to try and hide my stutter. I just order the cheeseburger. Make the phone call... The teenage years sure were rough though. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/11/20 09:44 PM
Women, how different you think your life would be if you were born as a man?Nop. I mean, I guess stuttering varies among individuals. Eg. In the support group I'm in there's people who've acquired a stutter from head injury, illness, trauma, or have always had one from childhood. So I guess there's not a 'one size fits all' answer for it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/11/20 07:27 PM
Women, how different you think your life would be if you were born as a man?I sure do! Very lucky to live in these modern times :) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/11/20 07:04 PM
Women, how different you think your life would be if you were born as a man?Well, the humdinger for me is that I'm a woman with a stutter. And I've always thought that being a woman with a stutter is leagues easier than being a man with a stutter. I think my stutter leads people to feel protective of me; I don't think such vulnerability would be tolerated were a man. I've never been able to pass as 'fluent'. I know/knew two men that stutter, and their lives have certainly turned out very differently to mine. However, going off genetics, were I a man I'd likely be a very… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/11/20 06:01 PM
Using men for moneyIn the past, men have used me for money. I've always worked hard right from leaving school. I had my own place from being 19. I had two serious relationships before my husband. And both were financial leeches. (The second of the two being a very expensive mistake). They were quite happy to quit their jobs and live off me. Luckily the second time around I seen history repeating itself and got myself out more quickly. But I have to be accountable for my past relationships. After all, I was the com… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/11/20 10:31 AM
Kurt Vonnegut on marriage and divorceI believe that too. I had a big ol' cheap wedding. And now I have a successful marriage with a big ol' group of family and friends to support us. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/11/20 09:05 PM
Why don’t women like video games or board games generally?I flipping love Banner Saga! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/11/20 07:50 PM
Why don’t women like video games or board games generally?Woman here. And I love video games. I think my tastes have changed over the years - when I was younger I was into gta, msg, FF and Tomb Raider. I dabbled in WoW for a few years but stopped playing after Mists of Pandaria. In recent years, my gaming had to take a backseat - I became a mother. I remember trying to play mgs5 when my daughter was a baby, and having to stop every 45min or so wasn't fun. Eventually, I just gave in... Though, last year my husband got me a switch for Christmas and I'm b… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/11/20 07:44 PM
Study: Men suffer most from being single over a long period of time, while women were more negatively affected by being in an unstable relationship but were not affected by being single for longer periods. You'd think so? But stats don't seem to add up. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/20 04:30 PM
Women are not divorcing good and hard-working husbandsI define lazy/slovenly as not pulling your weight when it comes to domestic chores/cooking/cleaning/childcare etc. For me, I don't care how much you work or what you earn, just as long as you're doing something. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/20 04:28 PM
Why are 30% of Gen Z women not attracted to men?I recently read How the Pill Changes Everything - by Dr Sarah E Hill. A study of how hormonal birth control can effect women's mental wellbeing, attraction etc. It is believed that contraception does change what 'type' of men women are attracted to. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/20 01:18 PM
Study: Men suffer most from being single over a long period of time, while women were more negatively affected by being in an unstable relationship but were not affected by being single for longer periods.Well that's the other angle on it, yeh. Looking at the stats for the UK, males made up 53% of asylum seekers last year (24% female, 15% children, 8% unaccompanied children). The biggest argument for more men travelling vs women/children is that it's safer for a man to travel alone. The majority of women can't just up and leave their children. Also, I imagine it's pretty unsafe if a lone woman did attempt travel. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/20 12:28 PM
Study: Men suffer most from being single over a long period of time, while women were more negatively affected by being in an unstable relationship but were not affected by being single for longer periods.I've never actually thought about that before, but it's so true! All over social media you're bombarded with images of male refugees crossing borders/in boats etc. And somebody will always pipe up "But where are the women?! They've abandoned their women and children!" Because we expect men to be able to 'take care of themselves'. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/20 09:46 AM
Why would a woman lie about their n-count to her partner if "insecure", "misogynistic" men are the only ones who, in her view, would care about a high n count in the first place?30 years old here. And I've never been asked. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/10/20 08:23 AM
