Yet you're missing the above commenter's point... you're attempting to discredit anecdotal evidence with your own anecdotal evidence. It is reasonable to say 'based on my experience, doubt this is the norm' but coming across as saying 'based on my experience, this isn't possible'. Also, if you say the former '...doubt this is the norm' you're really not using any better logic.

Close. What a crazy world we live in. Although Shannon had claimed, on a GoFundMe page seeking help with her legal bills, that Riggins’s suit would discourage sex assault victims from making reports

She got behind the wheel in explicit violation of the law and continued to refuse to comply. She put her own life and the lives of others in danger. Treatment can (and should) be a supplement, but she absolutely should be punished.

Thank you for not reading my comment. Which has nothing to do with a pussy pass. Which is what my second sentence says. She, nor anyone else claimed it had anything to do with her gender.......except you. No I did not. The first sentence explains why people would think this way, not my personal opinion. given special treatment Didn't happen. Didn't even approach happening. I didn't say this. I did not imply this. The logic is she should have been able to take him down and she was unable to (at least in part) due to her gender, which plays into the whole 'lower standards for women in law enforcement' troupe. This video doesn't show that. Neither the male nor the female were competently taking down the suspect. Each seemed more concerned about getting hit by a swinging dick than properly subduing him. It looked liked children fighting. I am confused what she was doing with the taser. Going in with it out s…

That was my interpretation of your statement. My experience is similar to yours. When I've talked to people about the candidates a significant number of women respond along the lines of 'because she's a women'. They don't realize how backwards it is to vote for someone primarily due to their gender. That said, it hasn't been my only experience and if you truly haven't met any women who has had more of an argument I'd suggest that says more about your social circle than anything. Anyway, my comme…

And their experience could be replicated through a variety of methods. Go ahead and say their evidence is anecdotal and point to a larger trend; explain the data with evidence and support. Do not claim someone is lying because their experience is different than yours.

Again, it isn't a question of should. It is an assessment of the reality of the conversation. Liberal causes are often welcomed with open arms whereas conservative ideas are dismissed without analysis. Which does not mean one side is right or wrong, it's that neither are listening to the other.

I see your point on choice vs not and agree that it's better to judge people on things they choose. Didn't check commenter's history but still interpret comment as above. Liberal causes are en vogue on most college campuses and arguments to the contrary are too often dismissed as sexist/racist/bigoted when they are not.

Did not interpret parent comment to be saying that it is bad that college students are accepting of transgender. Interpreted it as a comment on how little support you will have if you are a Trump supporter.

What's the sample size? I try not to pursue girls who have boyfriends, but I don't think it is necessarily bad if people do. It's up to the person in the relationship to be committed, not the person hitting on them.

A lot will vary based on individual maturity levels, but here are some anecdotal observations from my experiences: More direct / up front with what they want. Less likely to base their decisions on what their friends / social group thinks. Looks still are a factor, but less so with older. Being fit either matters a lot more or a lot less. More receptive to compliments. Specifically, about their appearance.

Was in frat. Do not join just to get girls. You do not need to be in a frat to get girls. Does it help? Sure. Does it help more than a sport team or other extracurricular? Depends on the school. Some it will be better, some it will be worse. Effort will vary by school and organization. It was 100% worth it for me. Made tons of friends and the ones whom I still keep in regular contact with are all from my fraternity. That said, it isn't for everyone- and I don't mean that in a demeaning way. If y…

You have to judge given the context of the situation. We can give general advice but only you can decide if it is right in the moment. That said, if you're thinking that you should have, then you probably should have. If you're making up excuses for why you didn't, you probably should have. /r/seduction31/10/15 07:23 AM

Yep. Some would say that's a good thing because you get the date with the ones on the fence and it's up to you to close from there. This is true and there is nothing wrong with it. Personally, I'd rather not waste my time with the ones on the fence. I don't have the time to be going on multiple dates a week and I'd rather fill the time that I do have with hard/soft "yes"s than hard/soft "maybe"s.
/r/seduction31/10/15 07:12 AM
1

Sets the stage insofar as eliminates the ambiguity. Makes your intentions clear. You will push away some by calling it a date. If you've had a good initial interaction, you won't be pushing away many who are on the fence.
/r/seduction31/10/15 07:05 AM
7

I see your rationale, but I disagree with calling it a date. I think you should specially call it a date at some point in the conversation. It sets the stage. Do you want to be just friends? No. And there's no longer any ambiguity in that because it is a date. With respect to the boyfriend line, I'd rather have her signal that she isn't interested at the beginning than waste my time perusing her.

Age is loosely associated with more power. Since, in general, you will have more power than a younger person it makes social interactions easier as you're coming from an already dominant position. "Power" isn't the exact word I'm looking for, but it gets the same point across.

I don't. I'll invite her back to my place, which assuming I've done decent kino means she knows that something is likely to happen. We go back, ask "Netflix and chill" type question, go to bedroom, bed, bam. Specifically on the matter of sex, sometimes she will only want to make out or something. That sucks, yea, but whatever. Personally I don't press the issue and usually end up just sleeping with them

Winning move is not to play. Big house parties aren't really the time to get to know enough other. Go up, talk for a bit, keep it fun and light, then leave. Be seen talking to others and having a fun time. Then before you leave go back to her and ask her either for her number or to leave with you. Less is more in this environment. It's more important to be seen as a highly social person than actually be one.

It really depends on how the girl approaches it. If she assumes that I'm paying, doesn't even make a half-hearted attempt at offering, and doesn't thank me, then you can bet I'll be a little salty about that. I wouldn't go so far as asking her to pay, but I've never met a girl like that who is worth a second date.

Depends on your gym. If you go there and bust ass every day, people will notice. Girls will notice. From there it's just being social if you happen to walk out/in at the same time. Or at least that's worked well for me since I moved to a new city. What's your job? Any people your age there? Make friends. Guys or girls, doesn't matter. Dude. You've talked to her how many times and you're love struck with her? No. You're not love struck with her. You're love struck with the ideal you've created around her. Chalk this one up as a loss, take a long, cold shower to think about the above paragraph, and then next time you go out and you see a girl you think is cute don't hesitate to talk to her. Don't wait and build her up in your head.

If you want to just fuck them, it's a straight matter of 'when' rather than 'if'. Some girls will be thirstier than a, well, very thirsty thing. Just message them, make some jokes, set up a date, and go from there.

I think it is more beneficial to be realistic in life. Is it possible to get 10s if you're a 6? Sure. Is it likely? Hell no. This isn't to say you shouldn't shoot high. Hell, aim for the stars. But don't aim for 10s. Don't aim for 9s. Don't aim for any number. Make yourself the best you can be, take chances, learn from mistakes, keep on keepin on, and eventually you'll figure it out.

5'7 reporting in. A lot of girls don't like shorter guys. Does that make them superficial? Sure. But let's be realistic - we're being just as superficial saying only 7s or 8s and above.

Best defense? Not fucking random girls who you really don't know. Honestly, I used to go out and pick up girls pretty frequently for one night stands. Maybe it is mostly because I'm getting older, but I'm much more likely to want to get to know a girl (more than just a few hours prior) now. I think it is in part due to my perception that there is that non-negligible chance that you run into a crazy.

To provide some insight (but not an answer): You're reading narratives. Narratives are often biased accounts of some situation (for better or worse). If it is biased then it shouldn't be a surprise that people tend to jump up and support whoever the narrative is about. In my experience, women tend to give more compassionate advice and sympathy to others in ambiguous situations. Unless the person in /r/relationships is asking a direct question, I would expect that your observation of others comme…

The point of this is that it is all context dependent. Generalizations like 'all girls who are working out do not want to socialize' are horrible advice because they cause you to miss the edge cases, even if they are true 70% of the time. Better advice? If she is listening to an iPod, working out like it's her last day on her membership, or otherwise looks like she is occupied, then don't approach. Sounds like you're on a fine path. Keep up the approaches, keep up the gym, and focus on the things you can change. Can't change your age. Also, don't focus too much on the outcome. Focus more on the process and what you did well/could improve upon. That introspection is necessary to improve.

I wouldn't even worry about gaming yet where you are. In order to be high-value you need to have high self-worth; I'm not getting that vibe from your post. Quantify areas you'd like to improve in, write those puppies down, and get to it. That will help bring up the confidence.

You're probably imposing your own thoughts about yourself more than she actually sees you as a 'badass player type'. Hard truth. If she is no longer responding positively to what you were doing or if you don't think it will work for however long you want it to, then it might be time to change strategy. Acting desperate and showing affection are often hand-in-hand but are two different things. Showing more affection without acting desperate seems like it would be a good approach for your situatio…

Yea, don't say that. You're looking at this entirely the wrong way. When you blackout, its not that you remembered your night then you forget. It's that the recorder was never on. You might have made progress, but if she doesn't remember it then to her no progress has been made. Text her something along the lines of it not being a big deal, and leave it at that. Maybe add some matter-of-fact details if you want to play that route.

I look a solid 5 years younger than I am, so I get that a lot. I have two strategies. I prefer making a game out of it, joking around and me guessing their age, teasing them about that, then telling them my age. If they already know your age you could still joke around about their age/tease about it. Then there is the cocky/confident approach. It's hard to come up with examples of this on the fly as it relies a lot on the context but it is more about being direct, not apologizing for being young…

First of all, there is nothing that turns me off more than a girl completely and utterly all confidence in herself, then seeking compliments to fill that void. No, no no. Just no. That said, if it is more of a passing comment I deflect it. Comments like that doesn't deserve to be qualified. Continue right along with the conversation's trajectory before she said that. If I can't deflect, I'll ask "is that a problem?" and go with the conversation from there. It is more combative than most would pr…

The master has failed more times than the novice has tried. Rejection happens. It happens a lot, especially if you're putting yourself out there and opening a lot. It sucks. But you can either step up to the plate, keep swinging, and risk striking out or go take a seat on the bench. Eventually you'll learn that striking out isn't so bad. I mean, everyone at a logical level can understand that the world won't end when you strike out, when you're rejected. But you don't really know until you've ex…

My most attractive friend is a model. It's crazy how girls fall into his lap at parties. I've had girls come up to me days later and ask if I could set them up with him. One data point doesn't imply a trend. That's one of the beauties about dating and getting to know people, it's always a different story and manifests in a variety of ways. Some ways suck, some are great but fleeting, some last a life time. Don't limit yourself from seeing past one experience. Getting into the philosophy of it, yes, everything comes to an end. Everything has an expiration date on it in that sense. But that doesn't mean that we can't derive value from something until that day come…

I've found there are two types of FWB - the friends with benefits and the friends with benefits. The former is someone you'd hang out with normally, but are also having sex with. This one seems natural to me so you hang out whenever you want, text whenever you want to text, and generally just don't put much thought into anything. I won't bring up other sexual partners with this FWB, but don't be dishonest if asked directly. Convenience is how this continues. The later is someone you are only hav…

Thanks for teaching me a new word - supplicate. The rationale in not going for the "uninterested" is that you could see higher returns on your time and effort by going for ones that are "interested". It isn't that you can't change their opinion. Social proof is usually big on these types. They could very well be acting uninterested but really looking for social cues of who they are interested in.

The two don't mix well together on the same day. Would come off as strange. That said, you can mix them based on the day. You're feeling talkative, then talk. You're not, then don't. Some will disagree, but I think it is healthy to be concerned with what others think of you. Social interaction implies two way communication, not just always thinking me-me-me. The trick is not letting your concern with others get in your way. It depends a lot on your style and the context of the situation. There won't be one thing that works in every circumstance. I personally prefer reading the situation and going in with a non-verbal. But I also do like the whole pretending to be flustered and then saying something along the lines of "Fuck it, I'm just going for it". Intuition says it shouldn't work but it has worked relatively well for me.

Similar situation. I don't view it more as not the right choice for me at the present time. Maybe it will be in the future. Maybe it won't. Height is just one of many physical characteristics that can be a pro or a con depending on the situation. Generally, being taller will help you get taller girls but being shorter will help you get shorter girls. Being 5'7", I've found that height matters but functions into a more encompassing 'physical appearance'. You can be short but if you dress well and are athletic you will have a better physical appearance than someone who does not dress well and is overweight.

Height, like many other physical things, is a very noticeable trait. If it is something that is especially noticeable you can play that two ways. Either (1) make it into a bigger deal that it is and blow it out of proportion in your jokes or (2) not acknowledge it at all and proceed as normal. Context and your individual style will determine which route to take. Personally, as a short-ish guy with a pretty direct no-bullshit style (2) works for me.

That sounds like a pretty fun assignment. Passion. Passion is the key word here. Find out what they are most passionate about. Some people make it easy and you can just directly ask them. They know what they like about life and are open about that. But most people take a bit of nudging. Similar age and situation to you (not hometown, but new town nonetheless). I've met the most people at the mall and the grocery store. I put zero faith in texting and think it should really only be used for minor logisticals, but here's some advice: If you want to text some one, do itl. No bullshit "wait an hour then text her" games. Following these causes people to over-think more than they actually help. Realize that other people have lives as well, and do not worry if they do not text back within the hour. Hell, most of the time I don't think twice about it until the next day. Text how you talk. No compliments. If she's hot she gets compliments all the time. If she's a waitress, double the previous statement. You can go ahead and be like everyone else, sure, but it will likely get you no farther than anyone else. In a situation like this, I'd just be direct about it. Sorry, I'm not going to be a cheerleader on this one. That really seemed like an extraordinarily ordinary conversation. It was safe - and that doesn't make it bad - but it doesn't make it memorable either. Her smiling and continuing the conversation could just as easily be defaults of her personality as they could be IOIs. You approached the girl to get something out of the interaction and unless you were trying to be rejected, you didn't get it. But you did try. And you will try again. If you're doing it right, improving your inner game as you improve your day game, then yes. Much of the same mentality will transfer.

Very solid guide! A few suggestions below: Having a picture without a shirt can increase response rate (at least for OKC). I'd go with something a bit bigger than 'how the hell are you'. You're right that you want to stand out but I'm not sure this would make you stand out. Your second suggestion is better.

In person, 100%. Relevant story: Asked a girl out in person, she later said she had reservations about agreeing and cancelled only to un-cancel the day after. Had an amazing date. Talked with her about it afterwards and she said that she wouldn't have said yes if I asked over text. And now I've been in a relationship with her for about half a year, one which certainly wouldn't have happened if I went with a text.

Attraction can most certainly change based on your interactions with a person. You meet someone, have a great conversation, chances are you are more attracted to them than before. You meet someone you are attracted to initially, have a horrible interaction, and are now less attracted to them. Attraction is not just physical.

Over thinking texting will cause more problems than anything. Just respond as you please and don't worry if it is 5 minutes or 5 hours later.

I feel like you're missing much of the point. Physical attractiveness is only one component of attractiveness. By building yourself up and becoming a better person you become more attractive. By becoming at shaping conversations in a sexual manner, picking up on subtle cues, etc, you become more attractive. Yes, some are (a lot) more physically attractive than others, but seduction isn't about that. It's about playing the physically attractive hand you've been dealt and increasing your attractiv…

I believe it can help. Having a good profile on facebook, as a social media site, can be used for social capital to a similar extent as having a good group of friends with you at a bar (but to a much lesser degree). Is it worth the cost? I know I have fun on facebook, so it is worth it for me regardless. It probably is not if you are doing it just for pick-up.

I was pretty big on facebook (still am) and I can be an easy way to increase social capital. That said, most people put way too much faith in it and it hurts them.

One unique piece many college girls seem to forget is that there is a line between classy and trashy, and that you will pick up that type of guy with that type of action.

Good summary. Applying that in real life to pick up is not as straight-forward as it seems - or at least has not proven to be true in my experience. Wish it was though.

Coming from a school with 5k students, I can back this 100%. One of my friends developed such a bad reputation from failed sets that it made it infinitely harder for him to get with girls who had heard of him prior. This also works the other way as well. Be known as a solid guy who respects women and that will take you far.

The point is to move from the what to the why quickly. What do you do? Why do you do that? Why are you interested in X? If you ask questions without caring why she is answering the way she is you're destined to fail.

Don't just start dancing with a girl. Eye contact and voice contact before any physical contact. Sounds like you had a good shot with 3, just took way way way too long to act on it and didn't have a solid escalation. You need to not worry about getting blown out earlier, else it will just be a self-fulfilling prophecy of getting rejected all night.
/r/seduction15/07/13 04:15 AM

One of my maxims is to never end the conversation on a 'let me know' scenario. It often leave them not contacting, for whatever reason, and is generally more passive than people want to come off. If she felt uncomfortable she would let you know. Until then, assume attraction. You really need to assert on the next date, if there is one. Actions speak louder than words. She kissed you, she is interested. Go for it.

Use it to you advantage. Time constraints typically facilitate interactions. You might not have 3 hours to devote to a club, but if you go in for only 30 minutes, you'll be pushed to act faster. My rule when I was 19 was to study hard and then take advantage of every moment I could on the weekends. Study until 8, go out, sleep, wake up, study, go out, sleep, study. Then study for the week. Left me with a bunch of free time actually once I started being efficient with my time.

Simply put, yes. Facebook when used as a social media tool is powerful. You are essentially marketing yourself, and a solid profile/pictures will help more than you'll realize.

One or three. Definitely not two or four, both convey a lot of negativity that would not be beneficial for you. It comes down to your personality how you respond to it. I'm short and if people mention it I don't make a big deal of it and basically ignore it. When someone continues past the point that I can continue the conversation without addressing it, I own up to it and move on. Yes, I'm short. So what? Doesn't put me in a sour mood.

It might make the FRs lesser in the same vein that getting with a 5 would be a much less interesting read than one getting with a 9. But I think the best field reports don't relate to the ease of the close, they show how a person tried a new technique or applied something well. Number closing a 8 through simple kino and escalation would be fine but would likely be a boring FR unless there was something novel about the situation. When it comes down to it shitty FRs are shitty, but not the stench …

How philosophical. The meaning I've always took away from 'be yourself' was to stop over-thinking and start doing. First steps first, you want to try and figure out what you want - out of life, this sub, and everything. Then you can start acting in manners to get what you want. As to how you figure out what you want, try things. Experiment. You'll figure it out.

Be weary of becoming too state dependent (ie, mood dependent). If you let it stick in your mind that you can only talk to people when you're in a good mood, that will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. As far as the rest of your post, maybe you're having trouble because you're jumping around too much in the conversation. A natural flow is good. With the post you shoot from a question to self-reflection, to advice in three short paragraphs - which leads me to think your conversations might be sim…

I've found the reputation to be both positive and negative. You certainly get more value-congruent people approaching you or at least being more receptive to you, but you lose a large crowd who lets the stereotype dictate who they see you as. Here's a good example of what I mean: back in college I kind of ran through a sorority hooking up with a few and ending the streak dating one of them. That relationship ended pretty badly and then all the talk exploded. Hurt my chances with them for sure. T…

I'm jealous of your girl. Been looking for one of those ravenous types for a while now to no success yet. You're point certainly rings true - women want sex too. It's sometimes hard to remember this with all of pop culture telling us the opposite, but it is so true. Good post.

It is going to be hard to have an abundance mindset when there isn't actually that many fish in the sea. You need to not let this make you desperate. Just because there may be a few girls doesn't give you the right to go AFC and forget all of seddit. You approach each interaction confidently and know that even the little things will have large repercussions within the group. Failing hard with one of them will lead to the others hearing and thus being more hesitant of you. There is some truth to …

There is a whole sidebar for that. The point is general advice has to be applied to specific scenarios, each with their own twists. It's the twists that are exciting and are often times non-generalizable. Some general advice though? Put some effort into your appearance. It helps with your confidence as well as with the ladies.

It's great to have a guide like this that focuses down some of the underlying concepts of social circle game. I've found some of my most successful nights out have been made possible through some of the people I've met with just this intent. One thing however, this does not happen over night. It does take a while to establish yourself where ever you are. You've just got to keep at it and keep building though and you'll eventually see dividends.

I'm more saying it was your conversation that seemed to be your Achilles heel here. Yea, if you're setting up a date then you do want to get the how and when fast, but that is more context dependent.

Here's a story: I'm somewhere mid range attractive, pretty short, okay body. I went out with my friend who models, is a little over 6', and has the body of Zeus. He also has no idea how to talk to girls. We opened on two girls that night and within 5 minutes, they had stopped paying him attention. It didn't matter that he was a hell of a lot better looking than me. The point being, guys need not place too much value in their physical attractiveness and it pays much more dividends to be socially …

I'm glad you went back and approached. That mentality will help you out. However, I don't think she was too hesitant of you, but she certainly was not receptive of your conversation. I read that and it just seems like an interview. 'Where do you work, what do you do, what brings you here' are all very bland questions on their own. She works in the mall? Why does she work there? What does she like about it? Does she like it even? You really want to hit the 'why' rather than the 'what' as fast as …

Text half as much, with twice the time between. Hell, that's just setting yourself up to rely way too much on texting. 'Oh well she texted me at 6pm with a 2 line response, that means I can't text her until 7:30 with no more than 1.25 lines." No. She just sent you a text 5 minutes ago? Why not just respond when you see it and cut the timing game out? It is the overthinking that kills people, and with infinite amount of time to think with texting, thinking about timing issues like that will hurt …

People aren't inherently anyone. The genius had to work to be smart, the athlete wasn't born with muscles, and the PUA made himself who he is. We all make ourselves who we are, and every single little choice shapes who we our, our perception of others, how others perceive us, and our perception of ourselves. We can choose to be who we want to be or we can choose to be who we don't - but either way it is a choice. I feel like I've told myself that or something similar to many times now that it ha…

No person can make another person know anything. They have to learn it and discover it themselves to truly know it. But you do influence what others subjectively know with each and every interaction. All I was trying to illicit is that people should be aware of this and act on it. And yes, too much of anything can become bad. Nearly anything can become a slippery slope when taken to an extreme.

It's all in the presentation and action. If you go about trying to win her over by ceaselessly professing your undying attraction to her, you not only don't understand what she actually wants but you will not get her. The difference with a relationship is only what desires you are trying to fulfill, in both you and her. Whether you want to let her feel protected for a night or a year is entirely your choice.

In the animal kingdom you don't necessarily see as distinct gender roles as you do in humans. A significant number of species it is common for females to exhibit typical 'male' roles and vice-versa as defined by the human stereotypes. However, what is nearly universal is that whoever bears the highest cost in childbearing is the most selective. (If that is interesting to you, I'd suggest reading Mean Genes by Burnham and Phelan, it is pretty entertaining and insightful) As far as the ultimatum g…

Hey, it's all a learning experience when it comes down to it. You change, you get better, and you win more - that's the natural order of things. As far as waiting or moving on if they aren't having sex, you have to decide if it is worth it for you with the particular girl. If the girl is great and you're not on a huge sex kick, then waiting might not be a bad idea. If you highly value sex and it can be a deal breaker in a relationship, then you should be looking for a girl inline with those valu…

The other comments on this describe what I mean well. To add my personal take: Don't start moaping and getting down on yourself; letting one girl ruin your night is a massive sign of outcome dependence. You're not going to be able to have fun if you get too down on yourself about getting rejected.

Oh boy does this remind me of a girl I used to date. HB 8/9 as well, sorority girl, a few years younger, immature as anything, very adamant about not having sex, drove me into some crazy oneitis, and she eventually ended it with me. I can ramble on and on about this - what I did well, what I could've done better, what would have worked well in the situations - but I'll spare you most and let you know some things that I realized. Not having sex is more likely resultant from insecurity on her part…

The best advice when changing environments is to start with what you're comfortable doing and adapt. Start with whatever works for you with day game and learn from there. Don't expect it to work magically the first time, but if you're good at day it is pretty easy to transition to night.
