You've been gone a long time. Things have changed significantly in the past 6 months.

Absolutely. And I think there's a natural limit too. Any guy can make it into the top 20%. Others are born in the top 20 and can work to make it into the top 1%. It's all about improving on where you were the day before.

Know your place. Getting bested by a better man shouldn't crush your self confidence. If you're not there yet (which you clearly aren't), you'll just come off as a try-hard trying to outshine a natural alpha. Think of it like two dogs scrapping until a leader is established. You can also occupy a different space (mentally or physically).

Look in traditionally male places. I've had great mentors from hunting and fishing. Be aware that almost no one has it all figured out. If they do, they're too busy anyway. You may need multiple mentors in different specialties (relationships, hobbies, finance). Make sure you have some value to bring to the table too. Look for men with only daughters.

You'll never get anywhere by alienating people at dinner parties. There may be plenty of people who agreed with OP but were taken aback because you don't say things like that in polite conversation. The chick in question was being rude. You don't amplify that situation by being even more rude. You subtlety shame her and then change the conversation. What value do you get from calling her out besides some fleeting self validation? I frequently rub elbows with rich and powerful people. Being overl…

The post is pretty hashed out. On top of that, OP just alienated a number of people. He became the person that takes things too far at a dinner party, and now others at the table may not invite him to things (although the short host may have appreciated it). This is fine, people make mistakes, but it provides an opportunity for discussion and growth. A better way to handle the post in my opinion would be to use the story to further our ongoing discussion of increasing our value. Open the discuss…

Don't kid yourself. A 2.1 is a hard C. Gonna be tough to sell yourself with that. You need to find a way to build unpaid experience in what you want to do. Volunteering, side projects, classes (that you actually do well in) are a place to start. Don't know what else to tell you. Companies will take a risk on someone with no experience and a high gpa because they've proven they can learn. You have to prove you can learn another way.

It's frustrating sometimes. I think in general people are better off for being politely corrected. If English isn't your first language, fixing your spelling and grammar is just one more step towards a better you. I still can't tell if the OP was joking or not with "misteak" (mistake). I think in general though the worst mistakes come from guys that have "made it" in non-traditional professions, not college kids. Not everyone has had the same level of education, and that's fine, but I find it ha…

I lost ~25 pounds after my shoulder surgery. I rehabbed as best as I could, but it was so long before I could really lift again that I lost most of the gains I had made up to that point. What made it worse was that I was used to going into the gym and throwing up huge numbers. It took me longer than it should have to get back into it because I was embarrassed to go into the gym and throw up pussy shit. I'm still not where I'd like to be, but I'm a hell of a lot further than I would have been had…

The best way I've heard it put is "be unapologetically you." Meaning yes, be yourself. Say what you mean, and say it with conviction. Do what you want to do, and don't worry so much. Note how this is fundamentally different from just plain being yourself. If you're soft spoken, shy, nervous, etc, you are not being yourself. If you wish you could be the life of the party, you are letting your insecurities and emotions control how you present yourself. I do know some alpha people that are quiet. I…

Think about it from this perspective. 5 months into hooking up, this guy hasn't made a move to make the relationship committed. Since its up to the guy to make that move, she's unsure if she'll ever get commitment from this guy. So she goes and meets up with her ex again. Maybe he had been texting her, maybe she texted him, who cares. She knows she's gotten commitment from him before, maybe it's worth another shot. They fuck, she realizes she'd rather risk it with OP than settle for her ex again…

I don't know how you're the only one in this thread that gets this. They weren't dating. This is like a plate getting mad at you for hooking up with someone else. If you never had the conversation, it's not exclusive. Yes, OP is being a bitch, but it's because he thought they were a couple when they clearly weren't.

That was a good read, and some of the things you talked about definitely extend beyond just the club scene. I'm constantly trying to get my friends to understand and take advantage of the power of the introduction. For all the reasons you listed, it really is a great way to build social proof and get in with any group of girls.

These changes are all from a higher understanding of how reddit works. This sub is getting flooded with people who are new and decidedly not red. Maybe they want to learn, but a lot of people want to just feel better about themselves by posting blue pill examples and clickbait. Regardless, these newbies can't be trusted to vote according to what this sub is based on, hence the heavy handed moderation.

This is a good post here. You need to realize that the red pill is an introduction to a new world of thinking that will permeate every aspect of your life. It's presented to men here through the lens of sex because that's a unifying goal for the majority of us. Still, setting boundaries, understanding relationship dynamics, and whatever else we talk about applies to everything in your life. The emotional/physical separation of a son from her mother is a difficult process, made worse by her lifet…

Are you catholic? Not every priest can become a bishop. And I don't mean "will." Most priests are unable to become bishops.
/r/askTRP28/05/14 07:51 PM

You said priesthood. Apostolic succession is only for bishops. For example my uncle, who is a monsignor, has no traceable line to an apostle.
/r/askTRP27/05/14 03:39 AM

This is completely absurd and false. Catholicism is built on converts just like any other religion.

Yes, that's the beginning of his question but you still didn't answer it. He basically did what you said. "I have enough girl friends" is a great line and has the potential to turn it around. Whether he just nexts immediately or tries to use her for practice is up to him. Your advice of just accepting the failure and bailing is not always the right thing to do.

This doesn't answer his question. He handled the end of the night as well as anyone could. He just didn't build enough attraction earlier on.

It's like all the people that say they got 2.0 GPAs at shitty schools, but they're at their dream job. You can be unattractive and do well, but it's because you already have experience. If you don't have experience, you need to make yourself as attractive as possible.

If you're making a lot of money it means buy a 1-2 year old car rather than a brand new car. Usually comes from a lease or someone who always wants a new car. Let them take the sticker shock of driving off the lot for the first time, and then you get a like new car for thousands less. As always, do your research. For some makes/models that hold value extremely well, you are probably better off going new.

Yes, you responded too aggressiviely IF you ever wanted to fuck her again. Basically you failed three shit tests in a row, and now she really knows she's done with you. The first two times, you agreed to do what she wanted to do way too easily. If she asks you to be exclusive, at least tell her you need to think about it. If she immediately flip flops on that, tease her for it. Then after failing both of those, she still would have probably gone with you (since this complicated thing is either m…

Being a nerd and being cool aren't mutually exusive. I just really don't like him after watching that video. Maybe it's just cause my childhood image of Style got crushed.

Yeah, just remember that it's not what you say that matters but how you say it. It's actually really funny because they're both playing a part. Kyle is cool and confident pretending to be beta. Neil is a neurotic weirdo pretending to be cool. I'm sure Neil still gets plenty of girls if you believe his book, but from that video (admittedly only one source), he never fully internalized the game. I think Kyle is pretty alpha in that first video. I didn't watch the whole thing, but in the first couple minutes he takes a complement like a champ ("that's a weird thing to say"), tells her straight up that he doesn't read her blog, pretends to leave to keep her on her toes, and talks smoothly and calmly. Neil Strauss on the other hand... Jesus. I read The Game back when it came out like everyone else, but that's the first time I've ever seen him interacting with someone. He's talking a mile a…

For the other perspective, I look at everyone in the gym. I make eye contact when I'm walking by and watch people lift. I like watching people's progress (or lack there of). Gotta kill the time in between sets somehow, and I feel like looking down at my phone restricts my breathing. I'm not saying there aren't people that just stare at girls, but just cause I'm looking at you doesn't mean I'm staring at your ass. You know what I mean?

Different paths to the same end all get you to the same place. Although if you're doing everything else right, you shouldn't have to worry about her thinking you're just friends. I personally would/have never used the word date, and I don't buy girls drinks. I'm also in college though, so it's much easier to get some chump to buy her drinks all night while you do some light texting. Then she'll tell him she's tired and come over at 1:30.
/r/TheRedPill27/03/14 04:44 PM

To a girl, dating implies exclusivity, hanging out implies it's casual and "sex just happened." You sound like a try hard. You 1. Offered to take her on a date days in advance 2. Offered to buy her a drink (big no) 3. Asked her what she thought about it. If that's ever worked for you, then power to ya because you're stacking the cards against yourself. Why would I dedicate my time and money like that, when you can text in the middle of the afternoon the day of. All you have to say is hey, you sh…

Ugh. In a lab class, we had to fill out some experimental proposal. The (female) ta hands it to the only girl in my lab group because "girls just tend to have the best handwriting." Too bad the girl was Asian, and we spent double the time repeating every line so she could figure out what we were saying. I have great handwriting, and the other students in the lab all defer to me for questions and guidance. Her handwriting wasn't even good. Don't see why it's that hard to say, "who has good handwr…

Wow you really are a smug one. This position does not exist at the bars I go to. One bar gives me and my friends drinks for free because of the crowds we bring with us. The others I go to do not need this position at all. The others are so popular it's just a waste of money to have someone do this. I am sure of this. Just because I haven't run into one of these girls doesn't mean anything. I don't know where you live but if it's NYC or Cali then I really don't care because I will never live ther…

I dont even know why I'm having this conversation. You know how I know I haven't been played? I have literally bought one drink for a girl in my life, and it was because the bar was too crowded and I didn't want to give up my seat. So I sent her to get us a couple drinks. If you can't tell when you're being played or flip it into playing them, maybe you shouldn't be giving out advice on the internet. Edit: when you edit shit in after already posting, fucking mark it. I'm fundamentally misunderstanding the nature of the interaction being described? This literally does not exist in my world. I've never heard of this, never seen anyone do it, and STILL if she buys you a free drink then who the fuck cares. Take the drink and don't get her one. This is absurd.
/r/TheRedPill24/03/14 02:08 AM

What the fuck are you even talking about? I'm talking about a girl that works there but is not working. Maybe she got off her shift as a waitress when the kitchen closed at 10. Maybe she bartends but still comes on her days off cause she knows everyone there and gets free drinks. Who cares. You get her to get you a free drink. Then if you want to you can buy her a drink afterwards. Or not. Constantly trying to make sure that everything ends up perfectly even is a terrible way to go through life

Does it matter? Did you not just spend the same amount of money on two drinks for yourself? Except this way she has to sit and talk for a drink before you decide if she's worth it.

Really man I think the only way you fucked up there is by doing your "cool guy walk off." That wasn't cool at all. It was you running away from the conflict/situation. You could have said the exact same thing, cracked a half smile, and told her to take a seat with you. Escalate normally and voila.

While I agree on the fact that being in a good college has fuck all to do with being successful, I disagree on lifting. Sure lots of hot girls do yoga or lay out a mat and do core exercises for an hour at the gym, but so do lots of whales that don't understand why they aren't losing weight. Why? Because those are the popular, low effort methods of exercising for girls. Some of the best female bodies I've seen have been in the squat rack. It all depends on body type, genetics, DIET, and what work…

Good post. I just want to emphasize the "emulate the people that are successful" point. There are so many guys that sit there against the wall thinking to themselves, "god that guy's an asshole. If only she got to know me..." That's no different than post wall girls trying to convince guys they're still desirable. Going out alone you're gonna feel weird at some point but just remember that you don't care about these people unless they prove value to you in some way. Also, if you're in college do…

I've been wanting to talk about this for a while and this seems like as good a place as any. It might need its own thread. I remember reading that direct linking was against the rules here. Normally I don't bother with people as lazy and annoying as you, but fuck it here we go. I'm not bothering to read all these comments to find out if someone else has said this: Read: I didn't listen to any of you, but you should all listen to me because I'm special and deserve to be heard. The concept of MGTOW taken to it's logical conclusion and practiced by all men would be chaos and the end of civilization. And I'm the one that's making massive leaps in logic? This is a load of shit. The whole point of mgtow (to me) is that the way society is now makes the game not worth it. Once enough men start going their own way, society will change before civilization collapses. Ideally it will change in the favor of the ideals people believe in here. By continuing to participate, you're essentially encouraging things to remain the way they are.

No I probably shouldn't have used the word blame there. I should have just said don't be surprised if things don't work out. I absolutely believe that women should be held accountable for their actions, but as an example I can refuse to date someone who shit tests too much without blaming them for being like that. And if I ignore that instinct because she's really hot, I can't be mad when she cheats on me. That's exactly like when a girl sleeps with a guy against her better judgement. You can't …

TRP isn't about wanting things to be one way or another. TRP is about the way things are. I agree with you, but your guidelines for how you live your life, your personal goals, and consequently the direction of your life are within your control. Otherwise no one would be here talking about TRP. It's not outside the scope of TRP to say "I want to be like a lion" and then work towards achieving that. I just don't think that's the right mindset to go for. Lions are insecure. That's the first time I…

That's the thing though. It's all about your approach. Training a dog isn't something you can do just for 30 minutes every day and then relapse into treating your dog like your special little princess. To do it right you need to have consistent, unwavering frame. For example if you learned the proper way to walk a dog, you might have a dog that behaves very well on a leash. But if you aren't consistent at home and in the field, you'll likely have a confused and unpredictably behaved dog. I think…

One of the key things for me in understanding red pill theory was comparing it to dog training. A dog needs an alpha leader, a firm hand, boundaries, and only intermittent rewards. Dogs will shit test in a way similar to women to see how much they can get away with. If you don't handle this properly, you'll end up with an out of control dog. You have to separate what the dog appears to want (basically unlimited food and affection) from what it actually needs. Also, dogs perceive emotions on a di…

I know two different great men that have 3 daughters and no sons. They both would have loved to have a son, but don't want a fourth kid. I think it's very natural for men to want that father-son relationship, so guys like that are going to be more likely to be willing to spend their valuable time with/on you. This isn't a steadfast rule by any means. I've also been mentored by someone with a son, but since his son wasn't interested in the same pursuits, he was more than willing to help me out. E…
