Same thing happened to me. Once I finally agreed to move back to her super small home town she divorced me and shacked up with someone else real quick. It is what it is just feel like you got the short end of the stick but it’s not. On to bigger and better.

Because it’s easier to blame other then yourself. they don’t want to tell people their faults on what could have contributed to the divorce. Not everyone but I’m sure a huge majority.

Tell your wife it’s not working and see if she wants to try still. Your probable not feeling any different then her.

Michigan 1 kid 43k vs 70k, i was make almost 70k before we moved to her super small town now i cant find a good paying job. split 50/50, I was supposed to pay $550 when she lied and said she has our daughter more then she did. I got it corrected and she now pays a whole $73 in child support. Makes no sense.

paying child support is based on time with the child not on income. I looked at my stuff and in Michigan is based off of overnight stays. She had it 2 days to 1 day me. I fought it and had it corrected and now she pays me $73 a month

Thats a bummer but if your the only one working on it, its not going to work out and thats ok. Those people are just making us better for our person later in life. Nothing wrong with being alone and working on ourselves.

Going through a divorce now, almost the same situation but I have a kid. If you are not happy, I personally would talk to him and let him know how you feel and see if hes feeling the same way. Sometimes people just get comfortable and stop working on the relationship when it should be a daily thing. Good luck.

Hell to the no. That’s your child as well and she has zero right to ask you to not be in its life. We were supposed to do 50/50 custody and she lied to friend of court so I was set to pay her child support. I got it corrected and she now pays me child support.

Unfortunately, you’re gonna have to pay her half of the equity in that house.

Only owe 8k on it and interest rates are through the roof. With cash in hand I pay it off and now that payment is extra money

You get an exception and non penalty for taking out money. it’s not cash though, it has to be rolled into their retirement.

We have already separated everything, I’ve purchased a new home. Expenses are less but we live in a super small community so pay for jobs isn’t very good. I took a 20k pay cut to move to her home town. It’s only 20k in retirement and close to that in equity. She wants to go to mediation to let them decide. I think I’m going to get F’d because it’s easier to deduct the equity from the 401k. She would need to get a loan out to pay me my equity because there wasn’t enough equity to take a heloc. If…

I understand that but if she sells it that’s one thing she wouldn’t have to shell out money to fix down the road so she profits and I don’t.

We just got it pumped less then a month ago. Going to get a plumber to check it out.

It changes the value for her while I get nothing out of it but helping her fix it. Down the road when she sells the house she’s going to profit while I get nothing. It doesn’t sound like a good business decision for me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
