I mean, this doesn't seem like a male-lead relationship? It seems like you have contempt for him and he'll do what you say (until the day he's had enough. You both love each other of course)...

Are you willing to work on yourself right now to fix your issues? Why are you nagging and arguing so often? You can only clean your side of the street. Therapy "later this year" doesn't cut it.

That's just not true OP. There will certainly be other people that "share your values". I'm in Europe and my bf is a very traditional man. But I also want to challenge, what values are these? You have presented a man who doesn't seem to have any kind of good character: cheater, drug addict, not interested in providing, etc. What are your common values?

I like your ritual idea! We have our internal jokes / affectionate moves that I try to maintain and bring in as well.

I'm actually very scared of that 😢 We have better knowledge now at least so that's good. And I have at least a decade+ until peri.

You're very right. Apart from this I've also been going through a difficult time with going to church and taking time to be with God; I hadn't recognized how that could be impacting my relationship as well but it makes sense. I have started to make some moves there and also with other more holistic self-development pursuits. Thank you!

He does the world for me and I want to honor him the same way, if he leaves something unfinished I finish it for him, any thoughts he has I make sure to finish them, any ounce of stress he experiences I hop onto helping him calm down, honor him in public, compliment him in private and public, respect him, take keen to his diet and personal wellness so I can adjust my gifts accordingly. This seems unhealthy; particularly, if he leaves something unfinished I finish it for him, any thoughts he has …

I'm your age. I think some distance is extremely necessary in relationships. Especially for men, it's good to have them miss you a little bit, and they also need their space to recharge. Do you have friends, a community or hobbies you'd like to be better at? I'd start there. The rest I think it will just fall into place. Earning a living will also allow you to create a life for yourselves / set the foundation for a future together. Make sure to have good money habits and savings / investments in…

If you agree to go to his place, he will try to escalate and see if it may lead to sex. Are you going on actual dates with this guy? I'd only do dates in public places at this stage. And as an aside, usually red pill guys are not advised in here necessarily.

In my view, there are different flavors of femininity, it is not one size fits all (mother, maiden, huntress, oracle, etc. if you want to go by archetypes). Women embody different "archetypes" at different points in their lives, and femininity changes. I do think by virtue of being woman you are feminine. The feminine is the essence of womanhood, again in my view, hence why a man can perform the actions of being a woman but never actually be a woman and viceversa.

You can't even establish any relationship potential until you meet either/both. Just go to your dates with an open heart.

Therapy is good. Honestly, I ask because I'm also anxious by nature and it makes me specially paranoid in relationships. But I had written down what I was looking for in a person, which compared to my boyfriend is spot on. And I journal about situations, so I can look at them more objectively. I think nothing in your post is in any way damning about the state of your relationship (except the last point), fwiw.
/r/RedPillWomen08/01/26 01:33 PM

Why are you so anxious regarding this relationship? This is a 5 month relationship, it should be the most enjoyable moment. Not you overthinking every move. Also, you already had a break up, that's a red flag.

Men can tell when you just want them to fill a certain role in your life. This is coming off a bit too intense. I suggest taking the first two dates to organically meet the other person with an open mind and also show up as your best version yourself (since he also has to be attracted to you, it's not all about what you want), then you can make a choice to continue pursuing something...

(Responding as if it's real) He will never commit. And once you're older, he will cast you aside and you'll be left with nothing. Save as much as you can right now, you're young enough that doing this for a couple years won't set you back much (it will completely damage you emotionally tho).

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this down and link all the resources!! This is some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten, and it has definitely resonated 🙏 I now know I’ve been letting so many random things get in the way of my own happiness (external noise, small misunderstandings, etc.). I feel we are at a pivotal stage of our relationship where we could be thinking about next steps and it’s making me spiral, too much online content and confusing advice. I do…

Yeah it feels like self sabotage. I feel terrible for implying anything like that. He got serious after that comment and told me later it's not something you like to hear. What's the best way forward here, should I apologize again or maybe be on better behavior from now on... (Not an excuse but the trip was handled very last minute as well, and this is something that does cause me a lot of anxiety)

Thanks, I know you're mostly right, I think my issue is I don't know how to handle the feeling of disappointment in the moment, resulting in me going silent or crying if I've been bottling things up after several small instances. I am, as you said, pretty sensitive. How do I continue to work on myself in the areas you mentioned?

This is not a man willing to wait. It takes two willing and very strong people in order to do it, and it is very very rare in today's world. And in case it isn't obvious, you shouldn't fear being with your boyfriend, that's not love. You need to 1) vet better; 2) grow a backbone/self worth enough to enforce your boundaries What is your reason for waiting until marriage? Good luck either way.

Just want to add, RPW game and TRP game is different because the goals are different. Most women are the happiest with a higher-beta (mix of beta and alpha traits) for long term relationships.

What is your community/culture of origin? I met my current and only boyfriend at 26, it's absolutely possible. Start meeting people in person, there's a hint of victimization also in your post that might not be helping you. And I suggest opening your mind to expanding your physical type.

Yeah I guess it does sound like that a bit. Ugh I'm not a very direct person, asking about a timeline is not something I would normally do 🥲

I was thinking, next time he brings it up to say something like "Oh I'd love to live with you, but I never wanted to live with just a boyfriend, that's something I see myself doing with my future husband" or something to that extent. I think maybe I can be ok with compromising with a timeline...

Just a little thing: he doesn't stay with me (as in, in my apartment), he usually does a short term rental by himself. However, when I have visited his home country, I did stay just with him (he took over his family's holiday home there), about a month. Plus the travel we've done.

Some rules for early relationships that I live by: - Hard to get, fun to be with - Give him plenty of space - Don't initiate - If you are not his dreamgirl, walk (Hopefully these do not go against any rules)

My boyfriend is incredible in every way. He is also not a big texter. He wasn't like that when we first started going out and I wasn't, either. I had top-notch girl game. But as the commitment I was craving came, so did my insecurities. Is he not thinking of me? Is he pulling away? It's been a constant fear I had to challenge in myself. Thank you. I guess I was trying to use it as a "manipulative tactic" because I wanted to get some fire under his butt, but now I see that's not right at all. I don't want to damage our relationship. Again, thanks for the help.

Makes sense! Think just the change in communication made me overthink. I like the suggestion of finding topics of interest. Usually we're in the same timezone. He does calls all day for his job (like, 10s of those everyday) so I'm also mindful of his down time. But on fridays he is more free so maybe I could try to do it that day! I'm also shy to suggest, working on it.

We come from cultures with different expression levels. An example is, he actually forgot to text his dad on his birthday! That would be a grave offense in my culture, but to them it seemed understandable. I'm quite touchy feely. When I met them, he confessed that's the most affection he has shown to a girl in front of his parents ever. So I try to relativize his interactions under that lens, which still makes me feel a bit unloved sometimes...

Thanks, I hope you're right 🙏 A week / early October the latest. I think the worst of the time apart is behind us!
/r/RedPillWomen22/09/24 11:58 AM

Harsh. But you do have a point that I am very much in my feelings. But also, men actually stay in relationships for a variety of reasons? He doesn't have to like me a lot. Which wouldn't be ideal for me.
/r/RedPillWomen22/09/24 11:55 AM
2

Thanks for your perspective! We talked in the beginning and we both agreed we were not big texters. So we just messaged to set up dates until we became official, at that point we started to have daily catch ups. I like when he texts first, but sometimes I just do it myself. He hasn't texted 2 days in this time which was a bit sad for me because I wouldn't want to go a day without checking in (but wanted to see what he would do...) I have brought up the topic of calls a couple times (I do like th…

Yes I actually think the time apart gets into my head and puts me in a negative space. I was so calm and cool when he first started courting me haha I'm trying to work on that. Hopefully he gets the apartment 🤞 Thanks a lot!!

Well, I would agree. I think maybe I put a misleading title. I don't actually want a break, but there's hard things with communication, long distance, culture, insecurity, etc. that I'm trying to find out if they are normal (after honeymoon period) or not. Again, first relationship! I should say, I really really like this guy! In my dreams, it works out and we get married/have a family. I think he would be a good dad.

It's my first relationship so I don't know what's a normal relationship after the honeymoon period and what is a diminished interest. I still want him to put effort into me if that makes sense? Then I feel like a b*ch cause he literally drives 3 hours and takes a plane to see me 😪 I should feel loved, right? Yes, communication is our main issue. I also have trouble with that. We are both introverts but I'm from a more open culture, he's northern european... I think maybe we have a disconnect the…
