I get what you're saying regarding if the chase is such a big component, he probably likes that more than the person. But IDK, I do think it matters how you meet to an extent. Online dating makes it feel unnatural for the woman. I know men like it, but as a woman the courtship dynamic is thrown off and the woman doesn't feel as valuable. I rarely see good relationships result from online dating.

Thanks for your insight. Didn't know what Fetlife was, but I just Googled it and it appears to be more of a social networking site than a dating app, which would make a difference IMO. But still, my comments about it being "too easy for men" apply to men, not women. I fear a man wouldn't be that into me if he met me online because he didn't have to work for it. Some women don't feel the need to be chased and are the aggressors, so I can see where she's coming from in that respect. It's rare for …

It's kind of all over the board, but I know I prefer guys who are "math types," to put it broadly. Engineers, doctors, etc. But I've also gone out with guys who don't work in those fields and are still the "math type." I'm good at writing and art and things like that, so I like it when a guy is good at math, building things, directions, etc., because those are all areas I struggle in. I really respect intelligence in those areas.

Online dating sucks. I totally agree, albeit not really for the same reasons you stated. It removes the chase, removes the mystery - people often devalue the importance of those. A woman needs to feel chased for it to work, and a man needs to chase. Online dating makes it so easy, unnatural, and not organic. No, thanks. Also, as a woman I'd feel super pathetic on those sites. For women, it's just not that hard to meet guys IRL. I doubt quality girls are taking online dating that seriously, bec…

But the question is will you appreciate or value a woman you meet on an app the same way you'd value a woman you had to earn the affection of in real life? As a woman, this is one of the core problems with online dating to me. Men really like it for the reasons you said (mostly, because it requires so little effort), but the result is a relationship that isn't super strong precisely because it required so little effort to obtain and the man didn't really have to chase. edit: u/Mr_White119811 c…

I appreciate your analysis, but I think the core issue here is she just thinks she could have found a higher status/more successful guy and potentially still can. She settled down with this guy IMO before either of their status levels were clear or before she understood what she was looking for and/or capable of getting. It’s a rough spot to be in. The other problems she listed probably aren't as big of a deal as this one; they probably don't help the way she's feeling, but they aren't the core …

Don't really understand this: "Her husband is literally the best man she can get - otherwise this is a non-issue." Are you saying she might think she settled but really she didn't and he's the best she can get? Regarding the "attraction issue," I'm not sure if you mean physical/sexual attraction or what specifically. What makes a man attractive to a woman is largely his status and how he treats her, just so you know.

I'd say you're correct. Women only like a guy's dick because they like him...they don't like it independently.

I get what you're saying with a lot of your points. I'm not married, so take any of my advice for what it's worth. Reading the comments here, I think a lot of the commenters might not be able to empathize with being an early 30-something in the DC area. Your complaints are more reasonable if one views them through the lens of being a young professional in DC. For instance, almost all the women I know in their late 20s in DC are single. I think women are socially conditioned to be more sexual and/or promiscuous than we'd like to be. I think we are also socially conditioned to value a big penis. Naturally I don't think women think this way. But we've been taught to, from a young age, from the media, society, etc.

As a woman, I have only fantasized about guys I'm actually really, really close with and have a lot of flirtation/sexual energy with. So, not an acquaintance....maybe a close coworker or personal trainer who I have witty banter with. But honestly I think it's mostly society/the media that influences me to think I should be always thinking about sex and fantasizing. If I weren't surrounded by so much sexual imagery in music, television, media, etc., I probably wouldn't think about the guys sexu…

Women also know that Chad is one swipe away on their phone so why would they settle for the average Joe in front of them. Women do not think like this. You're projecting the way men think onto women. Very few attractive women are even using dating apps, first of all. Of the women who are, almost all of them don't want to be and certainly are not thinking about all the "hot" men who they can get on their phones versus the guys in person. Online dating is a last resort for women, and women barely …

Yeah, I know a lot of guys in the pillsphere hate the "being yourself" advice. I don't know what to say, because from a woman's perspective, guys should just be themselves. Impersonating Chad works for few....again, what's interesting to me is that the guys I can think of who use this tactic virtually all went to all-boys schools until college.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 12:28 AM
1

Agree. Also, some women give off a much more approachable vibe than others. I generally give off an approachable vibe, so I have had the same experience as you. But I bet some gorgeous girls aren't friendly to men, so even though the men are interested, they just don't feel comfortable approaching since no rapport has been established.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/18 12:02 AM
3

Agree. I'm a woman, and I'd say this is accurate. As I said above to the other commenter, women's perspective isn't wrong. Women's perspective is right for women, and men's perspective is right for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 11:57 PM

Agree, but women's outlook on this isn't wrong. It's right for women, and men's outlook is right for men.

Interesting that you kept her around for occasional dates. I've sort of noticed this with exes who met online...they're content still hanging out sometimes or being "dates" to events. Not really sure why this is other than that they never had a super strong connection in the first place so they don't feel that awkward still hanging out.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:26 PM

I know some people who have had ~6 month relationships from dating apps and some who have actually gotten married from apps. Secretly, I don’t think any of these are good relationships. They seem to be missing a spark. I think when you meet online it’s hard to consider what you have special or really value the other person that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 04:39 PM
2

Agree. Glad you have this view. Most people don’t agree with me on this. For many reasons, I think online dating just doesn’t work (unless you’re a recluse or disabled or something such that it’s your only chance at meeting anyone).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 08:03 AM
1

Maybe it's the same way with the awkward women I discussed previously. Maybe with the element of being attracted to the other party removed, some of these empty people can be a little more pleasant to be around.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:45 AM
1

It's not even that. Decent guys do go on the apps. But if you're an attractive girl, you really don't need them - you get approached naturally by men. Dating apps just throw off the whole courtship process IMO and make it way too easy for men. Quality women know that to be valued, a guy has to work a little bit harder than merely swiping right. I would personally feel pathetic on a dating app. I know I can easily meet guys IRL and don't need to be marketing myself online, lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:43 AM
1

This is 100% right. Quality girls for the most part aren't on the dating apps, and if they are, they aren't actually checking it or planning to go out with any guys from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:10 AM

Don't you think describing the behavior as creepy might finally get through to them, though? If someone told me I had acted creepy, I'd be sure to never remotely act that way again.

Well, these guys are real people when they're around men, right? They aren't acting when they're around men, I assume. So, there is a real person inside there. On a related note, I've noticed there are many women who are basically the same way. Well, they aren't usually creepy per se, but they just can't connect well with men and are really uncomfortable around men. They're much better around other women. I'm a woman, and I've observed this type for a while now. Many girls in my sorority were …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/18 07:00 AM

Guys like this just think about attracting women way too much, IMO. They don't know how to actually connect with women, so they adopt this false persona they think gets girls. They need to stop thinking so much about it and trying so hard, and instead talk to girls like they're normal human beings. I've noticed guys who went to all-boys schools growing up are more likely to act like this. No advice for how to tell a friend he acts creepy, unfortunately.

Didn't read this entire thing, but as a woman, I totally agree. I never get how in the pillsphere men complain about how women only want 6', muscular, hot guys. That's not true at all. So many gorgeous women are with unattractive men, and it's because those guys either have game (cocky, funny, aloof, and/or play mind games) or status. Looks aren't that important to a lot of women. Yes, being average and cocky is very "Chad." Glad you've put this together.

I can see this. Often the girls with lots of sexual partners do it for the wrong reasons, like chasing male attention or trying to get a man to fall in love. But maybe having a small to moderate amount of previous partners fine.

I somewhat agree. I say "somewhat" because I personally don't have casual sex. Nevertheless in my 20s I have gone on dates with guys and had things with guys (including making out). I think that due to my mindset about it, like you, I really wasn't affected. Many women really do get affected by riding the CC because they're subconsciously doing it to land a mate or make the guy fall in love or something, but for me, my early 20s were all about focusing on school and work - I just didn't take d…

If they hated it so much, I don't think they'd use it. As I said, basically every guy I know who's single is on several apps. IMO, it's kind of pathetic, to be honest. But at the same time, since I'm clearly someone who enjoys observing dating, relationships, etc. (hence my being on PPD in the first place), it's interesting to me that men are so into online dating. Part of why women "aren't funny" is that being funny is in a sense trying to impress with wit/intelligence. So, if a woman is telling jokes to a man, she feels like she's trying to impress him, which reverses the natural dynamic between men and women. Women naturally are the selective and choosy ones. Also, I know she has haters, but I find Amy Schumer hilarious.

Very smart comment. Estrogen stops the facial bones from growing too much and estrogen also causes breasts and hips to develop. So, neotenous faces and sexually mature bodies are what men theoretically should like.

This is largely why men love online dating so much. They aren't used to all the attention and validation, and they love that they can get it from an app. Online dating has become more mainstream for women, as well, but still, much fewer women use dating apps. Almost every guy I know who is single is on all the dating apps, and many of them do it admittedly for the validation. Women, meanwhile, don't need an app in order for them to know most men find them attractive.

Hmm, agreed, kind of. I think men are just more easily content without a connection, and they don’t expect one. Women, meanwhile, aren’t as content without one. Also, men often fantasize about other women even when they’re married. So, in a way, they are never as into their wives in the first place as the wives are into them. Many women only fantasize about their husbands. If this changes, it often means they’ve fallen out of love.

I could say a lot, but it's not really worth it. You're a stubborn person only willing to hear what you already believe. And it's also clear women have chosen over you in the past, which is why you're so bitter. That's how men on TRP tend to be....ironically, they're usually the bitter betas of the ecosystem. I would encourage you to do a quick Google search on best ages to get married and see all the studies that show people usually get divorced who marry in their early 20s. Regarding hypergamy…

I've never been attracted to bad boys. A girl who is probably has daddy issues or some other form of insecurity. Why would I want to be around a guy who is reckless and treats me like shit? The only appeal I can see in a bad boy is from the sense that sometimes bad boys are very independent - they are leaders who think for themselves. It's attractive when a guy isn't a follower. Honestly, most bad boys actually are followers, though.

I've been encouraged to use dating apps and to go on lots of dates as practice. Bad advice IMO. Similarly, I've heard women say they think it's a negative thing if a guy doesn't have much relationship experience. I don't think that's a negative at all; quite the opposite, actually.

I think many positive things would happen if porn went away. I honestly don't think porn is positive for society in any way beyond maybe teaching us how to do things. I don't think it's healthy at all for men or women in any way.

Yes, we are. I've given this topic some thought before and have also read a few things online about this. Women's sexuality is more fluid. As a woman, I honestly think that if from a young age I was told to view women as sexually attractive, I would. I don't think men are this way - men's sexual attraction toward the opposite sex is instinctive, whereas for women it's more societally influenced. For example, I'm told by society that a "big dick" is sexy....it's not something I think I'd natura…

Whoa. Well, congrats on finding two great guys, first of all. I don't even know what to say. The chemistry with wedding fling dude will probably fizzle out, but maybe not. Distance can ruin things. Maybe view him as a sign that there are other men out there who you could like just as much as the local guy, so be cautious about becoming exclusive with the local guy. Definitely don't become exclusive yet if you're so easily meeting other guys you feel this strongly for.

I've seen so many men on Reddit say they hate them. I love them because they fit my body well. My waist is small and my hips are wide; low-rise jeans, therefore, just cut into my hips and hurt or else give me gross muffin top. High-waisted jeans hit at the waist and are much more comfortable - they don't cut into my hips. They're more flattering, as well. High-waisted jeans make your legs look longer and your butt look more pert. I just don't get why men hate them, lol.

Well, I think millennials are waiting longer to get married or are foregoing marriage altogether, as they realize it isn't realistic/practical to get married in your late teens or early 20s anymore. This could be the cause for the decline. People aren't developmentally ready for marriage at 18-25 like they were 50-100 years ago, and millennials are aware of that, waiting until closer to 30 to marry (unlike their parents' generation). People presently in their 40s and 50s, meanwhile, were part …

This is actually really interesting and valuable. I agree. I tend to fit a guy's image, although I don't like to admit it. I know! I've become more minimalistic with clothing over the past 6 months, so I splurge on the few pieces I do buy being that I value quality over quantity. UO and Anthro (same parent company) are two favorites.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I personally think it's best when a woman wears clothing that exudes personal style and personality. But I suppose for people who don't value creativity, that doesn't matter.

Thanks for the comments, you two. I agree that pencil skirts look great. They work well on my body type especially (hourglass). However, I don't always have the opportunity to wear one. I work in a more casual environment.

Thanks for your input! Totally agree about style communicating personality. Basic clothing often means the girl is basic, too. I wasn't sure if men had picked up on that or cared about that, though. As for me, I'd say my style is modern and a little artistic. Skinny jeans, loafers, silk blouses, and ankle boots are usually staples for me. I wear a lot of Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, to give specific brands. Today I was a bit grungy with a red, black, and white checked flannel shirt pa…

Just because you’re single doesn’t mean you’re having sex, lol. I'm proof of that, trust me. Find me some great research demonstrating that marrying before age 25 is a good idea. It’s a problem for both men and women to be promiscuous. I am in no way advocating promiscuity. College culture needs to change, that’s for sure. Regardless, most people are not ready for marriage at the age you want women to be ready at - they just aren’t.

By "feel" do you mean feeling chemistry or a connection with someone? If so, I agree that this is a bit more important to women - well, sort of. The reality is, I think men are more content settling for no connection than women are. Men tend to think pragmatically about dating, evaluating whether a girl checks off certain boxes on a checklist. Many women, on the other hand, need to feel a connection. I do think that men feel much more strongly about women with whom they feel a connection, but …

Look, your username already states you're an old man. Seems like you just don't get it. It isn't the 1950s anymore - 20-year-old women aren't ready for marriage, whether you like it or not. It seems like you have some personal story that bruises you in some way, so I guess I feel for you in that sense. However, that doesn't change the reality that in today's world, 20-year-olds are not and should not be getting married. Also, just because a woman goes on a date, that does not mean she's having…

I don't think your question is relevant to her post or to my comment, but to answer your question, hypothetically a woman could go out to drinks or on a "date" with a guy just to give him a shot. Women get asked out by many, many men. Trying to give a guy a shot once in a while even if you have a hunch it won't work out or you aren't ready is hard not to do.

Thanks. He was coming off of his plate-spinning phase freshman year of college? Seems a little young...men generally need more time than that to sow their oats. So do many women for that matter. I do commend you for pretty traditional dating despite being in college. If you're happy with him and don't think these mixed feelings you're currently having will get worse, then that's great.

As soon as I read that you met him freshman year of college, I had doubts about this. To me, it sounds like you met him and started dating too early in life, before you felt settled as a person or knew what you wanted. Honestly I would think the feelings you're having now would only get worse, but I've also never been engaged or married yet, so take this for what it's worth. Also seems odd that you intended to hold out until marriage but didn't and also intended to live apart until marriage, b…

I'd like to add to my comment that for some people, learning from experience is the best. You went against your instincts and experimented, and then your instincts were even more reinforced - you realized that that life really wasn't for you. You learned your lesson. Disagree with some of the comments you've gotten here. I get what you're saying and I think it's totally healthy that you sowed your oats, saw what was out there, and then got it out of your system. Now you're ready to settle down and be traditional. Makes sense to me. :) Good for you.

You have every right to be concerned. He met you, his girlfriend, on the job, so he could easily be viewing his coworkers as romantic interests, as well. It'd be better if he had no history of falling for coworkers, but that simply isn't the case. Don't let him make you feel like you're being insecure or paranoid, because you aren't.

Men care to an extent. Educated men often want to marry educated women, if for nothing else than that their family and social circles would only approve of or be impressed by an educated woman. A lot of men are also turned on by women who can carry an intelligent conversation. They get bored of women who can't relate or keep up. Not to mention, if they want intelligent and successful kids, they need to marry someone who knows how to raise kids to be smart and ambitious (and pass on smart genes!)…

Making a list of things you're good at is a good idea. I second that. I'm pretty confident, but it's hard to describe where it comes from. I guess I just had positive experiences at a young age or the first time I tried in many aspects of my life, which set the precedent for me thinking I was "good" at those things. Knowing you are smart and capable is a big part of confidence. Knowing your opinion is valuable, that you are attractive, and that people will like you (although you don't care if th…

It's all fine. Just honestly pretend it didn't happen and your crush will forget, writing the behavior off as you just being drunk. Pretend it didn't happen (which shouldn't be hard if you truly don't remember much), and things will go back to normal. Truly, you weren't in the right state of mind and neither was anyone else in the group, so it'd be silly for anyone to hold your actions against you.

Totally agree @durtyknees. Had the exact same thoughts reading @wolfssenger's top comment. Additionally, I personally don't think women are naturally "pack animals" as much as men are, especially not when they're single. Many single women feel very competitive toward other women, which tarnishes true friendships. Also, I think many women are genuinely more geared toward having a close relationship with their husband instead of having a lot of girl friends.

I've done a lot of research on this and it seems in this day and age, people in the US who marry before 25 often divorce. Around 30 seems to be the best age to marry. Apologies for my lack of sources, but I am at work and don't have time to find citations. :) These are just my general deductions from the research I've read. You're saying all these things about how the "culture" isn't an excuse and everyone's responsible for their own actions. That's fine and dandy, but I don't remember anyone feeling pressure when I was in college or it being a gold standard to settle down and get married anytime soon. This is interesting. Gave me some food for thought. Hmm....well, sexual stuff is very mental. It really depends on who the guy is, as cliche as that sounds. Let me lay this out (as background, I just turned 28). Hooking up with a 24-year-old: He sees me as sexy in a mature way; he is less sexually experienced; he has a nice body; and he's used to hooking up with hot college-age girls. So, to me, I feel sexy that he sees me as an older, sophisticated woman, I like that he doesn't have a ton of se…

Funny joke. I'm not sure exactly why this change happened. I think it happened largely because once I got to my late 20s, guys around 30 didn't seem that old. As you get older, there aren't such vastly different maturity levels between ages anymore. I mean, this is even more true the older you get (30+), but around 26 is when I started feeling like guys a little older than me were at about the same "stage" as me. However, back when I was 20, a 28-year-old guy seemed like he was at a totally diff…

Don't have time to read many of the reactions, but my gut thought with DiCaprio is he just isn't ready to settle down yet and has no reason to, so he's just having fun and not taking anything too seriously. Also, many of these young models he dates date him for PR reasons - seriously there's likely a contract in place for many of them that was set up between their publicists and DiCaprio's. So, there's also that to consider. Look, I love Leo and always have. I really think he just hasn't reached…

Women's instincts with regard to sexual stuff aren't as strong. Men more instinctively know what to do, if that makes sense. Women like to follow the leader. Men are really turned on by t&a, for example, and want to touch there. Women don't have such strong feelings toward male anatomy (at least not until we really get to know the guy). Of course, I am generalizing.

Much prefer virgin or inexperienced men to experienced men. Also worth noting that "experience" doesn't equate to being able to make a woman orgasm. I'm turned off by guys who seem really experienced because then I feel like just a number and not special. An inexperienced guy can turn me on much more.

Great question. I like men who are similar to me in terms of background, looks, and education. However, I like it when men's personalities are complementary to mine, not exactly like mine. Personally I was never attracted to men older than me until I was 26+. Before that, older guys always just seemed sleazy to me, like they thought I'd be easy to impress since their "accomplishments" would seem impressive compared to those of guys my age. Basically, I thought they weren't able to get women their own age and viewed younger women as easier. In high school especially I really didn't like older guys. Or college. The fact that you yourself broke up with the guy after college serves to demonstrate that college might not be the best place to meet your husband. College is a messy time of transformation. Just because statistically there are good guys there doesn't mean that those guys are ready for a relationship or that you are either.
/r/RedPillWomen04/09/18 12:59 AM

With the way college culture is these days and the later age at which people mature/develop compared to 50 years ago, I don't think it's reasonable to expect a girl to find her husband in college. I know very, very few women who did this, and it's not because guys didn't like them. A life of drinking, partying, and studying without knowing where you'll be in a year let alone what your job will be don't set the best stage for long-term planning or taking finding a spouse seriously.

I think you’re making some assumptions, but I’ll leave it. On another note, honestly, educated men do usually prefer educated women if for no other reason than their families strongly encourage it. I know TRP says the opposite, but that hasn’t been my finding.

I don’t see how that relates to her comment about only liking educated men. Also, many educated men don’t possess other qualities that women would find attractive, so I wouldn’t say they’re objectively better catches than less educated men. I’ve learned to not date men who grew up with less money than I did because I’ve found they always grow to feel insecure about it and label me as a rich girl, which feels uncomfortable. I never view it as a big deal or really even think about the fact that someone might not have come from the same financial background as I did, but I’ve learned the person who didn’t come from as much money is always self-conscious about it.

Good question. I don’t like any of these things, but (3) is the worst. I am really not attracted to guys my height or shorter. I like guys to be several inches taller than me. (1) is the second worst. Driving and knowing directions are masculine to me, lol. Also, I don’t enjoy driving and I don’t know directions well, so it’s an issue if the guy is the same way. (2) isn’t great but I can tolerate that one the most, definitely.

Agree with your post and the top comments...this "alpha widow" concept has never really resonated with me. Glad I'm not the only one. Sure, sometimes a guy can be hard to get over post-breakup, but after a few months, the sadness is typically completely gone. The same thing happens to guys - getting over a woman takes some time, but the person only leaves an indelible mark if the connection was that special. I don't observe women having a harder time with this than men.

This post raises very good points, but overall I'd say it's a little too complex for me. I tend to think you're either dominant in a relationship or you're not...it's hard for me to figure out which specific classification I would be, and I'm not sure how much it matters. Also, I think some women can be seen to be "high dominance" to the outside world or in their career, yet in the context of a relationship can be very submissive, and vice versa. I'm not sure this post really covers that - the f…

I'll name a few who come to mind, although some will certainly be controversial. It's always hard to judge women who are in the public eye since they live such different lives from us and we only get to see what the media portrays. Ivanka Trump Ivana Trump Candace Cameron Jessica Alba I also agree with another commenter who said Blake Lively.

Hmm...you could suggest a public place to go instead and say you want to save the cooking date for another time. Keeping physical boundaries on the date basically would entail not letting him get too close and brushing off any attempts at touching you.
/r/RedPillWives19/06/18 05:07 AM
11

I would try to keep the dates at public places for a bit longer. If you do go to his place, just be firm about not getting too touchy, and don’t stay there too late. Kudos for thinking ahead like this. I often totally neglect to consider that a guy might be expecting a hookup if I go to his place, and then I get myself in an awkward spot.

The comments here already explain the difference, but I wanted to chime in that I am so happy I recently joined RPWives. The prevalent male influence on RPWomen unfortunately really puts a damper on the sub, which is intended to be for likeminded women. If I wanted advice from men, I would go to TRP or AskMen. Men rarely give proper advice to women, especially with regard to relationships.

Hi, I'm 27, single, and just moved into a new apartment. I finally feel like I'm at the point in my life where I want to start "adulting" + trying to find a husband. I graduated from grad school in 2015, and have been really pursuing career ever since. Now I'm ready to start really preparing for my future husband, including becoming better at housework and cleaning. Of course, I'm also going to start taking dating seriously, which believe it or not I've never done before. Oh, I'm also starting t…

I never said having sex with as many women as possible was hypergamy. What I said was that if women's sexual strategy is apparently reflected in other aspects of life, it would make sense that men's would be too.
/r/RedPillWomen12/06/18 06:40 PM
6

Interesting. To be honest I’m not sold on your theory that sexual strategy is reflected in other aspects of life, though. For one thing, although feminists are one sociopolitical group that demands more and victimizes themselves, they are far from the only one. I mean, in the US alone, I can think of a pretty prominent group (not based on gender) that demands more, acts entitled, and plays the victim, and it most certainly is made up of more than just women. Identity politics drives various grou…

I would like to contribute to this conversation. If hypergamy is more than a sexual strategy for women and actually applies to everything in a woman’s life, is the same true for men’s sexual strategy of wanting to sleep with as many women as possible? Does the desire to always want something new apply to other facets of men’s lives as well?
/r/RedPillWomen12/06/18 02:06 AM

The missing link in the logic here here is how hypergamy equates to feminism.

I'm not married, as a disclaimer, but my instinct is that yes, they will become bored if you're a doormat who does everything he wants. I'd play a little hard to get with the sex, personally. I don't think "drinks" is inappropriate for a first date. I wouldn't conclude that he's just looking for a casual thing. Thanks for sharing. Really provides some food for thought. I'll have to think more about whether I (as a woman) agree. At first glance I'm really not sure if I do. Maybe what's throwing me off is that I'm assuming you mean a 7, 8, and 9 in terms of looks, and I don't care a ton about looks/am not necessarily most attracted to the most objectively physically attractive guy. Very much agree with this, thanks. Glad it's a rule. So many marriages in the public eye are set up for political reasons, as you said, so we can't fairly judge them through a TRP lens. Also, it's hard to know everything about a celebrity - we may feel like we know, but we really only see the things the media displays. I think it's possible for men and women to be friends and talk one-on-one in the case of a shared work environment or shared school environment. So, if he's your coworker or classmate, it's totally possible. Generally speaking, I've learned that in the real world (once you're out of school), hanging out one-on-one with a man is very, very rarely platonic.

Totally agree, especially with the first full paragraph in your comment. A lot of women who are lawyers, scientists, business owners, etc. only want a man who is more successful than them, which of course really narrows down the field.

I said in the beginning stages of career many people have relationships take a backseat. How does that translate to letting a guy get burned if there was a new job opportunity? Since when is being smart, ambitious, and pursuing personal growth before settling down a bad thing? Thanks for your response! I agree that texting can often give a false feeling of closeness. From my experience, some "relationships" burn out extremely fast from texting, too. What I mean by this is I'll meet a guy, we majorly hit it off, and then we text each other nonstop and it feels like we are falling in love. But then the flame just kind of fades after we stop being obsessed with texting each other (this usually happens in a matter of days to a week). Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense.…

Correct. Everyone at the strip club I was at was there for bachelorette parties. The host at the beginning got a show of hands for birthday, girls night out, bachelorette party, etc., and everyone rose their hands for bachelorette. I've had the conversation about dating outside of type to other guys and they say the same thing as you do....that boobs are boobs, etc. I would argue that men see it differently and aren't the best to opine on this. I personally do think it's an issue to be dating a guy who prefers a different type. Where are you getting this information? I disagree with all of it. Trump respects Melania a lot and she guides him significantly, as did Ivana. He gives them lots of credit. Also, Barack is only with Michele for PR/social/political reasons. Always has been.

I'm technically not a virgin, but I'm very close to it and would ideally like to wait until marriage to have sex again. I don't see many downsides to it at all. I tell all my friends to wait as long as possible before having sex. It works.

Didn't have time to read your post thoroughly, but my general finding is this: They will continue dating you even if you aren't having sex with them so long as you don't openly say, "I won't have sex with you," or give a time frame (e.g., "I won't have sex until marriage," or "I won't have sex until we're exclusive," etc.). Just don't say any of the above and the guy generally has no problem with no sex.

I know many disagree with me, but I just don't like the idea of living together before marriage. Maybe when it becomes more mainstream I'll warm up to it. For one thing, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Why would a guy want to propose if he's already getting all the benefits of marriage? Guys need to chase. You make yourself less desirable IMO if you live with him before marriage and certainly if you do so before becoming engaged. A friend of mine lived with her husband for …

I'm 26, and while I've technically had boyfriends, they were when I was much younger and the relationships didn't last all that long. Dated a guy several months senior year of high school going into freshman year of college. Dated another guy sophomore year of college for about 4 months maybe. The high school relationship never felt right, and I was mainly doing it to go along with the crowd, honestly. Had another boyfriend junior year of HS, actually, for a few months, as well. Completely agree! In high school I was very pretty (not to toot my own horn, but I was) yet I got very little attention from guys in my grade because I wasn't in the "popular" group. That's what a lot of guys cared about. Got lots of attention from guys who didn't go to my school and guys who weren't in my grade because, for all they knew, I was popular. Guys love a confident girl who has many admirers. It's obvious. On a slightly different note, I have never understood why TRP argues women are …

TRP says it's a "woman thing," but from my experience men are very competitive with each other and get jealous easily. I think her instagram idea would absolutely work. I get the impression Instagram is just one example, however. Bottom line: she just wants to have fun and explore what's out there ("play the field") instead of settling down right now. IMO that's what college girls should do.

I don't think guys fitting that description are that hard to come across. The 6' requirement is the hardest to meet. Even if it is a decently small percentage of guys who meet the criteria, that's part of what makes those qualities attractive. If they were super commonplace they wouldn't be special. Also, if you're an attractive and ambitious girl, you can afford to be a little picky.

How are those stringent? Lol I don't think they're hard reqs at all. When I hear frame I think of bone structure/frame of one's body. Confidence is not the same thing as that, clearly.

Height, intelligence, and salary/ambition are at the top. Confidence and frame seem like two separate things to me. Fitness isn't that important, and extroversion certainly isn't. Since when does being an extrovert automatically equal being fun to be around? I like really smart and ambitious guys who are at least 6' tall. With all due respect, this is not true. Lots of people use Tinder as they would any other dating app. I personally know people who have gotten married after meeting on Tinder. I'm a 26-year-old woman living in a metropolitan area, and I can tell you most single young people are on Tinder - and it's not so they can have sex. Most people have accounts just so they can meet people, talk to people when they're bored, and maybe go on some dates.

I usually have many "plates." It works for me. Some people can't relate to having many options or not being 100% ready to settle down, so they disagree with doing this. /r/RedPillWomen20/02/17 05:14 PM

Understood. I try to avoid it but it can be hard, especially in the industry I work in. Also, I would make the argument that having fun dating in your 20s allows you to know what you like and don't like, which is very valuable. Then, when you do find The One, you'll know for sure he's what you want and it'll be that much sweeter.
/r/RedPillWomen20/02/17 01:24 AM

If not I don't know why you feel compelled to speak so crassly and rudely to me about this issue as though you're personally offended by my behavior. You might not be able to relate to being an ambitious and attractive 20-something of my generation, but that doesn't mean you have to be so rude. Many, many women in their 20s (especially those who have a lot of options) are not trying to settle down right this second. Don't know why that offends you so much.

Most women probably completely understand what I'm saying. It's contradictory to you because you're a man and you think differently. I go on a few dates to give them a shot because I would like it to work, but pretty much all the time I lose interest pretty fast. I have strong instincts and they're telling me I can't do a relationship right now. I like the guy at first, which is why I go out with him, and I hope it works, but inevitably it fades. I am just starting my career and can't make myself prioritize this stuff (dating) right now. It's a distraction.
/r/RedPillWomen20/02/17 12:16 AM

Physical stuff can be fun, and that doesn't mean you have to go all the way. I don't understand your confusion. Sex is way, way more intimate than making out. It's special to me. I only want to have sex with my future husband.
/r/RedPillWomen19/02/17 04:31 AM

To illustrate my point: I was recently seeing a guy but lost interest after the chase (after I first hooked up with him - not sex) and ended it. I didn't want a relationship. He did. He took me on dates, talked about our future, brought me around his friends, etc. Finally I had to just follow my gut and end it. Try taking Vitamin B complex, soy palmetto, or get prescription for spironolactone. /r/RedPillWomen12/02/17 12:39 AM
2

I get what you're saying, but this early on in the relationship, I find all that pretty inapplicable. Also, not to toot my own horn, but I have a lot of options and meet guys easily. No need to settle if it doesn't feel comfortable. You're speaking about this issue like a guy, no offense. Guys don't view it the same way. And again, I don't think I'm blaming him for anything here.
/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 05:57 PM

It's not a matter of not having things in common. We do. I'm just not in a place for this relationship (career-focused ATM) and the chemistry is off. We are kind of in this for the hell of it, yes, but we do have things in common and everything looks good on paper. It just doesn't feel right.

You're clearly a guy lol. Furthermore I would assume you routinely get rejected/dumped, which is why you have a bizarre interpretation of this. /r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 05:12 PM

What did I project or blame on him? Backstory on me is often I kind of lose interest in guys after the chase (after we actually start going out). I suspect this might be the case with this guy. He seems into it, although I have to imagine he feels the same way, at least to a degree. I'm just not as fun and our convos aren't amazing. Again, what did I project or blame on him?
/r/RedPillWomen11/02/17 04:58 PM

True. Well, they do say that arranged marriages often turn out the best/last the longest. I've always assumed it's due to the fact that they grow to appreciate one another instead of the immediate flame burning out.

Sorry to hear, but at least you learned the lesson at a young age! Did he feel the same way deep down? I'd have to assume so because for me at least strong connections are mutual. Weak connections also are. Then again, the thrill of the chase/trying to win the other person over is also powerful. Your guy might have stuck with it for that. I had dating experiences as a teen that kind of felt like this too, and after they ended I decided they had been a waste of my time.

They're less freaky in the long run. They're basically faking it and just doing things to please men. It gets old when it becomes obvious they aren't actually freaky but just acting and are actually insecure. They might do things earlier because they want validation, but they probably don't do them better than someone who is acting out of actual enjoyment/because they're in a healthy sexual relationship with someone they love.

The good thing is he left her for you. You know he isn't still hung up on her. Also if he dated her from 16-25 he's most likely over it for that reason as well. Those late-teens relationships usually run their course, what with all the partying, school, and general immaturity that goes on during those years. So, long story short, be polite to her, be nice, but don't be too weirdly friendly, and don't worry that he's still into her (not that you are). It's all a bit of a non-issue, honestly.

Possessive...sexist...just weird. You call her your girlfriend or wife...not your "woman." That's how rappers talk. I think the keys are comfort level and how developed your sex life has become. If you haven't had sex yet, you won't be at the freaky level just yet. Give it a few tries with sex to then get into it, develop preferences for certain things, etc. People worry way too much about "sexual compatibility." If you're comfortable and the time is right, it'll all work out I think.

I love the title of this question lol. Is your SO unhappy with how you are sexually? Honestly, this sounds like a non-issue to me. All that matters is that you guys have fun together. Slutty girls are usually less "freaky" actually. I've read studies on it, plus anecdotal evidence tells me the same. I think RPW and religious women often end up having the best sex lives. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm actually not big on house music. I grew up listening to a lot of rap and it's a hard habit to kick. As a kid I honestly barely understood the meaning behind the lyrics, so it was OK. Now that I'm older, however, the lyrics bother me. They're also worse/more explicit now than they used to be. I listen to mostly rap when I work out or walk places because I like the beat and the fast pace. I know lots of people say they don't pay attention to the lyrics, but at a cer…

Amen! I know some girls who need to read this. Also, for the love of God, do not start having sex with him before he has made it clear you two are boyfriend/girlfriend. It'll be the nail in the coffin if you start nailing him before being exclusive (pun intended ;)). Also, don't let it drag on more than a month or two if he isn't making it official. In summary, have some self-respect.

Well, they do say (and from my experience) that if she's his Snapchat best friend, he's into her. I guess the fact that she's his friend's gf does make this better, though, and the fact that none of the texting was openly flirtatious is definitely good. I don't know what to say. Does she seem like a girl he would be attracted to? I know he knows her through his friend, but how often does he see her? Is it just at social events or does he go to school or work with her or something? How old is she…

From my experience, people liked 50 Shades because they thought it made them look cool. Alternatively, they viewed it as kind of a joke/something funny. They'd go to see the movie ironically just to see what it was like and to tell people they saw it.

Try to look as natural as possible. My dad always told me to not wear makeup. I do because of my acne and discoloration. If I didn't have any of that, I wouldn't wear makeup. If you're like me and have redness on your chin, around your nose, and under your eyes (purpleness), use a foundation or concealer to cover it up. Also use some bronzer to warm your cheeks up. You might also want to use a translucent or tinted powder to prevent oiliness and to give your face a nice finish. Mascara and brown…

Congrats on the new relationship! One key piece of advice that applies to anyone entering a new relationship is to not put out right away. I personally would recommend waiting as long as you can before sex, possibly even until marriage. Also, I don't recommend living together.

I don't think ambition is unattractive to men. The opposite, actually. I know lots of women say their ambition repels men, but to be totally honest I usually assume they're pulling at straws bc they want to find some excuse for why men don't like them.

Haha, I think I was like Kat minus the feminism thing. I was like her in the sense that I had been popular when young but grew to dislike the popular crowd (found them very superficial, mostly social climbers) and eventually became more of an outcast.

I would like to advise businesses on legal matters (possibly working part time at a firm to do this or having my own small business), be an adjunct professor, be an executive at a nonprofit, etc.

Agree 100%. I witnessed the exact same thing with my mom. It also seemed like my father started respecting her less as we got older since he brought in all the money and she didn't have much to do. She should have gone back to work. I plan on working part-time once I have kids, at least when they're older.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that women are sleeping with these beta orbiters or that they're sleeping with other guys too fast because they get so much attention/security from beta orbiters?

I was very physically attractive in high school (I'm really modest, I know :P), but I didn't get a lot of male attention. I went to a small private school where I was considered shy, nerdy, and an outcast generally. I most certainly was not part of the popular crowd, and the cool guys paid me no attention. I'd only ever get attention from guys who weren't in my grade or didn't go to my school because they didn't know where I fell in the social hierarchy. :P I was really popular in middle and ele…

I think in some ways I resemble a feminist even though I don't consider myself one. I'll tell you a bit about me so you can decide for yourself whether I sound like a RPW. I'm probably some kind of fusion of feminist and RPW, although I hate thinking of myself as a feminist in any way. :) I graduated with a bachelors degree from a top university and subsequently attended and graduated from law school. I'm 26 and currently single. I want to establish myself in my career before settling down. I'm …

I'm in an organization called the Junior League and have met like-minded friends there. Look into it - there are chapters in many cities in the US. It's a volunteer organization for women, but it's surprisingly not feminist-y at all.

I agree with the group members (I recommend marriage after 26, dating to ensure your partner is the one, establishing your career, etc.) and I still consider myself RPW. One of the secrets to a long and happy marriage is putting off sex for as long as possible (possibly until marriage). This helps foster mutual respect and friendship. Sex too soon ruins it.

Yes...hmm, maybe one or two? I can think of two guys in law school I was involved with who were the "popular" type of guy you described. Both were just brief things/flings....nothing serious. That type of guy generally isn't my type. I like the nerdy and reserved guys a bit more. :)

Was just going to suggest Candace. She's the main female celebrity who follows these ideals I can think of. Possibly Elisabeth Hasselbeck?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
