but... a little bit controversial. Putting it mildly. In OP's post, that OP is likening themselves to Mengele. Quoting the article linked "Joseph Mengele, a proud and full view of his genius looking to the future, somewhere up, into Heaven." Mengele's wiki page: Josef Mengele 16 March 1911 – 7 February 1979), also known as the Angel of Death (German: Todesengel),[1] was a German Schutzstaffel (SS) officer and physician during World War II. He is mainly remembered for his actions at the Auschwitz…

My point was about crossing lines in general, not about outside dating. What's difficult about that?
/r/askTRP21/02/19 12:30 AM

So you're supposed to tell your gf not to go on dates with other guys? That's a given, though some people need it spelled out. My point though was less in this context and more in general.

This is the correct response. If she crossed a line for you and knew it, it'd be an issue. If you never communicated that line then that's another ballgame.

Think of it from now on as earning your right to theory. You speak to a handful of people, you get to read. Videos on working out will show you what to do, but you don't build your body watching YouTube videos, and you don't build your character reading books or blog posts, not without putting in the actual work, that is. This needs to be said twice

Some shady friends is no reliable indicator, either. My husband has them and while they don't share all their moral ideas, they share the ones that matter in friendship. Thank you for this

Glad this worked out. I remember reading this; I understood his position but your concern were valid too. Great update Sometimes, when men are stressed or anxious, they see everything as a problem to be solved, and will start trying to avert crises before they happen. This, however it might make them difficult to work with in the meantime as you've experienced. Once we get some room to breathe we'll come around. ideally

Not talking to your story specifically, but his past will have lower value women because he is developing and getting experience as he is lower value himself. In the past he could've been a 6, so he played in that league. Over time he develops and becomes an 8. Couple that with women he knows he can sleep with (abundance) he can play a bit out of his league. If anyone who met him as an 8+ were to look at his history there would be confusion/disgust.

You'd pay more in taxes but next to nothing for services. We as a people would come out on top because there's no middle-man, insurance companies, artificially inflating prices. There'd be no middle-man, period. I don't think people realize how much impact eliminating THAT much bureaucracy would have. People say we should have smaller government but fight against this issue.

As long as it doesn't affect others. Likewise, addiction should be treated as a health condition, not as a criminal action. Obesity is a disease but alcoholism is a crime/choice. Right.. Writing that made me think that obesity should be a crime. Extenuating circumstances aside, that's my honest opinion.

Exactly. The 2nd amendment is contextually for militias, which do stand a chance against the government. I think people have this wet dream of taking on the government. "Let them try to take my guns, I'll show them." Ok, and you'll get fucked.

Wake up at 8, go to work, go to gym, get personal shit done. Usually in contact with 2-5 girls, hangout with them maybe 1-2 times per week. Weekends are a combo of going out with friends and doing my own thing. "my own thing" could be a post of its own. It's a lot of personal development mixed with hitting the social scene solo.

1) You're not a serious lifter. Learn the ropes first. Planet Fitness is a good place to tryout lifts and work routines. 2) Serious lifters still go to Planet Fitness, usually as a supplement to another gym that's not open 24/7. 3) Once you have an idea of what you're doing you'll also have a better idea of what you'll want in a gym. My biggest gripe with PF is that smith machines make it easy to fuck up the biomechanics of lifting, so I like gyms with open racks. 4) Calisthenics or weight-lifti…

Listened to How to Win Friends and Influence People while working a shitty, labor intensive summer job. Applied a few tips and it did a complete 180. I probably could use another listen. Funny thing is is that none of it is anything new, it's things you learn at school or in the field. The same lessons apply to any child or adult.

"The MORE you give, the LESS you get" I disagree, both examples are about frame control. But to rephrase your point more accurately, at some point you get diminishing returns on what you give, whether time or money. This applies to a lot of life in general, not just people.

That's fair. I see more about lifting than eating but the point's the same. they should just be pointed to the appropriate subreddit I agree, but I also think that in just pointing them in the right direction they'd see the new sub as just a wall of text and lacks the context from this sub, particularly loses the connection to whoever suggested it. Like an author on a talk show saying "read my book, it's in the book" vs ACTUALLY talking about the book.

I appreciate going through this thread calling out the misinformation and finding you've beat me to most of them. I don't know how good you are at words but maybe write up an article on what a balanced diet looks like, and talking about the benefit of actually changing the lifestyle of how you eat vs hopping on the next pseudoscience fad diet. This There's a lot of misinformation going on in this thread. Ultimately thermodynamics wins. What OP is bringing up but not addressing is eating sugar and carbs in moderation. Almost anything is fine in moderation. OP's target audience isn't for those people, but people looking for a hard right in change of direction; they're fat and want to change, a 2-3 cookies less per day won't change that until it does. TBH I'm betting that he won't. As a high school senior interested in the military he's being bombarded with "do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that". It's just noise anymore. In the case that he does read the card for more than the check I'd like it to be something worthwhile.

For context this is for my cousin. I don't think he's quite sure of what he wants to do but who did at 18. I agree that a degree for the sake of a degree isn't worth the paper it's on, that trades/STEM/law/med would be the way to go, and to bust ass while at it. Makes life infinitely easier. FWIW he's shown interest in the military.

I'd add that self reflection through meditation will help a man realize himself. Learn from your own behaviors and mistakes, then act to make a difference. Frame will become less something you actively focus on but rather something passive that you bring others into.

Grandparents were old. I was close with them but it wasn't unexpected[1]. My grandma would go off about how she was too old and was ready to go. She was open about it and we'd joke, but there was some truth to it, so I listened. She caught pneumonia and saw it as a chance to let go. That caught me the most off-guard, but what could I do[2]? Tell the people that matter to you. They'll want to know regardless if they actually do anything or comfort you. People do care but death can be awkward. Mourn in your own way. Give it time because there can be a lot of mixed emotions and tied feelings that time may or may not sort out. Stoicism has helped me the most, mostly in preparing for the eventuality of it. I don't have a go-to frame but between any frame in a setting there is an underlying theme: presence of mind. I'm at work to get shit done, I'm at the club to relax, I'm at the bar to just be out of the house. You'll find that these motivations may change throughout the day. I'm going to vouch for dancing. Meeting women isn't the only benefit either. You learn frame. It's one place where it will teach frame. You learn how to approach and interact with them physically. In almost any other context this may sound creepy, but if you're not leading your body and intent correctly you won't have a good dance. Women also find you much more intriguing when you know how to dance. Source: have done ballroom and latin on and off for a few years now.

I agree that there is a sweet spot. Something about knowing what's expected of themselves while retaining individuality. It's also expected that she shoots them down. You see this in Spain and Italy as well. They, both the men AND women, are comfortable in themselves and know exactly what's going on. Compare t…
