When she'd yell "I've never been an a date with a cheap guy." I respond in a louder voice " A date? You're my sister-in-law! Wth?" I'm not afraid of public humiliation. I just laugh a lot when it happens. But I damn sure will drag her with me if that women likes to humiliate people for no reason.

Dude if I were you and was turned on by her I would smile and say " Oh I can show you better than I can tell you it's not." In your case, you see her as only a friend so replying "You know it only takes one phone call to get a restraining order on you!" Would be an adequate joke to show your boundaries without destroying the friendship.

I don't know if I make it anymore simple for you but I'm guarded to express dating to her because she laughed at the girlfriend. I'm not "obsessing". When my mom and I are in public, I now make zero romantic jesters to women as long as she's here, I'm no longer interested in approaching women because I'd rather do that when I'm alone. That's what I'm trying to convey to you dude. Idk how you interpreted it the other way

Maybe ask her... not like " Why don't you look me in the eyes after sex?" But " Do you like to connect by gazing at eachother after sex?" You know the answer, but it's a easy subtle opener to a conversion like that. Idk I'm trying here too mate lol
